This is the very first pet I upgraded with a battle stone. I personally think it's the way of the future.

Did you know abilities like Sand Attack are banned in competitive pokemon play? Reduced accuracy as a mechanic is actually considered overpowered. This should come as no surprise: having a 0.02% chance to miss on a raid boss always seems to make your Combustion miss, and Blind always seems to miss night elves!

Reduced accuracy is OPOP, and Flash accomplishes just that. Not only does it accomplish it, but then it DOUBLES the power of your Light, which already hits decently. Basically, you're looking at a Conflag coupled with reduced accuracy (way more OP than 'burning'), on a 3-round CD (conflag is a 4-round CD). Then you've got a decently varied choice in the first move which is nothing special.

The best part? This pet isn't something that people can just go and grab as soon as they see you use it. It's only available yearly, and even upon getting one you need to upgrade it. I've personally seen VERY good versatility with this pet. Against enemies who are Blinded, big-hitting moves (Conflag, lift-off, etc) seem to ALWAYS miss, and that's a gamebreaker!

many battlers have praised the Nordrassil Wisp for its Flash/Light combo, but i prefer this lantern over the wisp because of the third ability. the wisp's Arcane Explosion deals great damage when all the enemy team's pets are up but doesn't help burst down the current target, and using Soul Ward will leave you standing around waiting for cooldowns. the lantern has a standard damage magic ability for its first slot and even has the option of switching to an elemental attack. the downsides are that the lantern has to be upgraded and is only available in a B/B breed while the wild wisp has many more options.
