Whenever I want to power level a new pet, I use my Darkmoon Zeppelin. What I typically do is lead with the zeppelin, lay down a Decoy, and then switch out to my leveling pet for a single turn. In many cases, the decoy will protect even a level 1 from a level 20+. ~~To finish the battle, I kill the last opponent pet with Explode, which also destroys the zeppelin. This way, your leveling pet will get all the XP from the battle.~~ If you find a dense population of battle pets near a stable master, you can level from 1 to 25 in an hour or two. My favorite location is around Halfhill in the Valley of the Four Winds. The zeppelin is durable enough to solo most of the pets there, and mob aggro isn't much of an issue, either.

Update: As of December 18, 2012 level 25 pets no longer soak XP from pet battles, so Explode tactics aren't necessary. In other words, the level 25 can survive, and so long as the leveling pet spent at least one turn in the battle, it will still receive full XP. Because of Decoy, however, the zeppelin is still a good option for the lowest level pets.(##RESPBREAK##)2056##DELIM##adashiel##DELIM##

This of course is true however - even better - if you use this pet all the way through a wild pet battle, and successfully Explode the last pet of the opposing team, you can avoid swapping your low-level pets in for one round (and the associated risks) at all!

Your two back line pets will share the XP between them.

+ - useful for pet battle.Tactical abilites:
1)Lock-On/Launch Rocket 2nd use is not supposed to be on next turn after doing Locked On/Setup Rocket. You may delay the hit for using best advantage of enemy's vulnerability.
2)If you are faster: Extra Plating protects you from current round's main attack aswell.

For something that contains bombs, missiles, and the ability to explode violently, it doesn't sound very kid-friendly.

WARNING: for some unknown reason, Blizz has changed the icon for this pet to the same icon as the Paper Zepplein. Since I routinely throw those away, I almost threw one of these babies away while opening several dozen DMF ticket boxes (you do know that you can mail said ticket boxes, allowing you to amass all your DMF tickets on one alt, right ?).

Anyway, be careful what you throw away. And WTH were you thinking, Blizz ?
