This is a pretty easy one to get if you don't have it already. Go to (64,22) and there you will find a tree. On the ground will be a clickable nest. Couldn't be easier.

This appears to be Horde only.
I was at that tree but could not see any nest.
Either it is phased, respawns in intervals or is not available for Alliance.

It is indeed available to Alliance. Mine was at a nearby tree, at 62,20, on the ground under the tree. Clicked it and voila! New pet. :-)

I found my leaping hatchling at 64,28. Make sure you look under all of the trees in this area.

The raptor hatchlings share the same abilities. Gundrak Hatchling, Lashtail Hatchling and Razzashi Hatchling are learned at rare quality, while Darting Hatchling, Deviate Hatchling, Leaping Hatchling, Obsidian Hatchling, Ravasaur Hatchling and Razormaw Hatchling are learned at uncommon quality.

Obtaining each raptor varies. Gundrak Hatchling is a rare drop from Gundrak Raptor in Gundrak. Deviate Hatchling is a rare drop from Deviate Ravager or Deviate Guardian in Wailing Caverns. Razzashi Hatchling is a zone wide rare drop from Stranglethorn Vale (both Northern and Cape). Obsidian Hatchling is purchased from Breanni in Dalaran. Lashtail Hatchling is a quest reward after completing a quest chain through Northern Stranglethorn and Zul'Gurub. Darting Hatchling, Leaping Hatchling, Ravasaur Hatchling and Razormaw Hatchling are lootable from nests of rare raptors in Azeroth. All but the Lashtail Hatchling can be caged to be bought and sold on the AH.

Stat wise, each one differs slightly. Obsidian Hatchling puts all emphasis on health (breed 6,16). Razzashi Hatchling puts all emphsis on power (breed 4,14). Darting Hatchling and Deviate Hatchling emphasize power and speed equally (breed 8,18). Gundrak Hatchling and Leaping Hatchling put a little more emphasis on power, then equal health and speed (breed 10,20). Razormaw Hatchling puts a little more emphasis on speed, then equal health and power (breed 11,21). Finally, Lashtail Hatchling and Ravasaur Hatchling are equally balanced across health, power and speed (breed 3,13). Each kind of raptor has only the one breedID, so your level 25 Gundrak Hatchling will have the same stats as your guildie's level 25 Gundrak Hatchling.

Finally, each raptor has a different skin color. Darting Hatchling is orange, Deviate Hatchling is pink, Gundrak Hatchling is blue, Leaping Hatchling is almost black, Obsidian Hatchling is a brownish-black, Ravasaur Hatchling is green, Razormaw Hatchling is a yellowish-orange, and Razzashi Hatchling is red. The Lashtail Hatchling is also red, but is larger and has different eyes than the rest of the raptors.

For others who want this pet:
I searched under all of the trees on the north and east side of the mountain.
Then I headed to the top of the mountain and killed the rare spawn raptor.
When I went back down and searched under the trees again, the nest had spawned in less than a minute (under a tree to the east).
I think the nest may share a connection with killing it's father...
