How much would I expect to pay for one off eBay or similar?
According to http://www.wowtcgloot.com/instant_statue_pedestal.htm (most information sourced from there), this is the first expansion by Cryptozoic Entertainment the new producers of the WoW TCG. The expansion released on the 25th of may 2010 and the set loots are Blazing Hippogryph, Instant Statue Pedestal, and Landro's Gift Box. Current price is around $35 to $49 USD.

Facts:

Creates a "Heroic Statue" pedestal that your character auto-mounts when activated.
You and nearby characters will hear cheering when you mount pedestal.
You gain 50% in size (non-stacking) and a "flex" pose while you are mounted. Disguises / costumes are removed.
Can remain on pedestal incapacited for up to 5 minutes.
Useable at any level and therefore available for twinks.

Heres what i know from personal experience so far:

You will permantly stand flex if you dont do anything else BUT

You can make yourself do other things aswell with some few tricks

Constantly Flex spammin:
Before you have activated statue, use pet Mojo or Dancing Flames. get the frog or dancing flames effect and you will flex all the time.

Standing still as normall. be in a form before you go into Statue as you will lose form you somtimes will just stand normally

Unsheating weapons, when you press Z to unsheat you will only your hands will effect it but. If you swap weapons and back to the others they will be unsheated.. and for other people aswell :)

you CANNOT do any other emotes and use of any spells or entering combat will remove this "mount form"

one last thing.. this statue WILL increadse your size by 50% BUT it is the "cap" in this form so you cannot grow any bigger .

Anyone know if using this preserves Metamorphosis form for warlocks or other temporary forms (tree?) for other classes?

Here's some very important information you need to consider before buying this:

1. It looks pretty bad on goblins. The size increase isn't very noticeable, and due to the nature of the goblin /flex emote, their posture is somewhat awkward. In addition to the weird posture, like 1/3 of their body hangs off the ledge of the statue "Pedestal."

2. Any non-combat pets that were out upon use of this item are dismissed. Meaning while in statue form your non-combat pet will be hidden.

3. The statue form lasts for only 5 minutes, even if you don't click it off. The cooldown lasts 30 minutes. (so there's a pretty damn big gap between the use you get out of it, and the cooldown time on it.)

4. It cannot be used in areas considered "indoors," for example inns or most BG-start waiting areas.

5. The cheering you and people around you hear only lasts for about 3 seconds. After that it's just you frozen without sound effects.

Overall, it's nice, definitely nicer for larger races that will benefit more from the 50% size increase (and actually have been fitted to look cool on the pedestal. I think a major drawback about it is the short duration and the huge unnecessary cooldown. I'll try to upload a goblin picture soon.

For best results drink some Olio Sconsacrato before stepping on the pedestal. (5-6 will do fine.)

Note:
The statue will face the opposite direction you stand when used. So when you face north, you on the pedestal will face south.
