A very good staff for healers. While you might not use it while soloing, you might consider keeping it in your bank/bags and equip it anytime you have to heal in a dungeon, as in WotLK there is lack of healers but a bit to many tanks with the DKs coming out, so being able and willing to heal will open you many doors :).

I haven't looked too hard, but most of the drops I'm seeing until lvl 80 heroics are for those who didn't get what they wanted from tbc heroics or t4 raiding or above.

But that +60 spirit does look nice.

Pretty good for a warlock too with the 30% spirit to spell damage from Fel Armour.

I'm not sure why the above comment was marked down, as this is a perfectly good staff for a warlock. According to MaxDPS this staff is just shy of the Amani Divining Staff that drops in ZA. The old "spirit is only for healers" mentality no longer applies thanks to the changes that WotLK brought to the game. Fact is, 30% of a Warlock's total spirit gets added to his or her spell damage when Fel Armor is active, giving them another way to boost damage. For example, a Warlock with 300 spirit is going to get an extra 100 spell damage. That doesn't take into account the increased mana regen rate that comes from the extra spirit, meaning that Warlocks can worry less about Life Tapping between fights and just let the spirit do its thing.

This weapon does not have a glow, but it doesn't show enchanted glows either. I don't know if this is a bug or not. But I tried enchanting it with minor beastslaying and it looks as drab and dull as it did before the enchant.

Also, shaman weapon enhancements do not show up on it.

The Keleseth's Blade of Evocation and Talisman of Scourge Command are a comparable set if you cannot get this staff to drop.

no stam.. making this not very useful for warlocks. intellect is not nearly as impotant as stamina due to mana tap..

Not sure if the drop rate has been nerfed but I ran AN a good 12 times to get the staff and saw it drop once when someone else in the group got it. Could just be really, really bad luck though...

This item does now seem to support glows from enchants, will get a screenie uploaded later, showing the enchant glow along the haft in the bottom part of the head, and the items inherent glow in the top part..

What about staff of the great reptile? its req lvl is 74, but i think it looks more usefull than this staff.. :P it doesnt give any intellect, but alot of spirit and haste.. also have 271 spell power which is awesome ! :D

When enchanted with Enchant Staff - Spellpower it gets a pulsing purple glow.

For transmog purposes: the glow from your enchant will not be overwritten. The white ball of light at the tip of this staff will be there still, but with enchants like power torrent (which is very overwhelming), its not really noticable.
