The dps on it is amazing, considering it is already has more base dps than https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=28436. The stats on bloodmoon are better, but you can get this weapon for free at 70, instead of paying a lot of gold/farming for it :D

Just another example of how much itemization is going to change. At this rate, unless you are farming high level instances or are amazing at pvp, better to start another char since you can just grab these 70 blues and have a character a lot better than many that exist right now.

This axe is great for most TG warriors since Hit Rating is so important now to keep a sustained dps. The top end weapon damage lets this weapon down quite harshly (compared to what most 70 warriors will have at the moment) but blizzard cannot give more otherwise it will not be in line with fair gear scaling. The HiT Rating is pretty much the only reason you would want this weapon otherwise you could just use any other iLevel 128 ++ weapon as it will have more weapon damage and overall stats (excluding Hit Rating) I will probably use this weapon if it drops for me but i won't go out of the way for this to drop.

dropped to me last night, and i must confess i didn't have two 2h atm, was using soul cleaver on mh and vanirs on oh. that was sweet, especially because we 4manned it and i was MT fury specced on fury gear :)

This weapon is awesome. It dropped for me and my group, and even though I was the tank, no one else wanted it. We did the instance with me (prot specced warrio), a holy priest, and arcane mage, ench shaman and a muli-rogue. None of them wanted it, and i picked it up. the 70 hit is massive for the 5% hit penalty on TG. As it is now i have 142 hit in my gear (9%) and this will (according to my calculations) raise my chance to hit with 4,36% so misses will be more uncommon now.

This weapon is a great TG offhand, though it is honestly an undesirable Arms weapon due to the speed. If you have a weapon such as https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=39769, this will be a large downgrade for you.

Was lucky enough to get this on my 2nd Utgarde Keep Run.

Certainly (as far as DK goes) the best 2H weapon to have till: "Ring Of Blood 2.0" in Zul'Drak.

i just got this for my dk, and i love it. i am doing 1106 white damage hits. half my stuff is still from tbc. This rocks. For all those people saying that the borean tundra one is wrong because of the top damage or some bs is just trying to pretend like they know what they are talking about. overall, this axe is better then the borean tundra one. period.

Also, the fact that this axe has no stamina on it really hurts if you are planning on tanking anything with your DK.

This is an interesting debate: what is better for DK (and in what situation) : https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=35576 or https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=38237 ?
IMO https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=35576 is better for both Tanking and DPS since hit rating is crucial in order to keep up high Threat output and also for DPS.

If anyone can bring numbers it will be highly appreciated.

On my part I have the Axe of Frozen Death and I can't wait to get Ingvar's Monolithic Cleaver.

This axe just won't drop for me. So far 15 runs for it and not even single drop. Is it really that rare? Or am I just having really bad lucky? Anyway I¨m going to try this again at the weekend :> I really want titan grip this and Axe of Frozen Death

EDIT: 18th run.. no axe.

Shoulders 16 times.
Pants 2 times.
Axe - suprisely 0 times.

As a TG Warrior, I'm dualwielding this with Axe of Frozen Death. From a pure DPS perspective, would I be better off doubling up on Ingvar's Axe? No crit, which is a downer, but a lot more STR and hit rating.

just was helping my g/f farm the axe today, did 8 runs no drop, in fact the same items seem to drop all too often. I'd have to say the drop rate is just a bit lower then 27%

itll be great for her titan grip war when she gets it, but still 27%, nah-expect to be running it quite a bit

I think Axe of Frozen Death is better.
Ingvar's Monolithic Cleaver gives more damage, but Axe of Frozen Death gives stamina.

Axe of Frozen Death also looks cooler.

This weapon is ideal for Fury Warriors around level 70, considered its better than Bloodied Arcanite Reaper @ level 70

I know that this weapon gives Hit Rating while Bloodied Arcanite Reaper but with the extra hit you are certain to hit mobs especially in dungeons which will increase your overall dps a little
