Looking like a awesome spell to when you possibly need to switch up targets fast and you can't use pestilience, or you mess up a rotation for some reason.

Also excellent in zerg pvp situation, where you want to save your runes for some heavy trucking right off the bat.

As it currently stands this will be an extremely effective spell for unholy Death Knights in a PvP or Arena situation.

It will allow a Deathknight to set up a very powerful barrage of burst damage attacks on a single target.

Starting with Death Coil for Unholy Blight to prevent dispelling following up with Outbreak will guarantee your target will have both diseases on them and have you still standing at all 6 runes. Where-as before you'd have to exhaust a frost and unholy rune, or two death runes.

I can see this as being very effective in PvP and with it's currently assumed 1 minute cooldown(from Blizzard's first mention of the spell) don't be surprised if most Death Knights actually open up with this spell before unleashing a flurry of other attacks.

Also useful for putting up dots without breaking CC with pestilence.

I heard that this was meant more for when you mess up rotation or are switching targets, but is no way meant to completely replace Icy Touch/Plague Strike, but what keeps us from using the Disease glyph, and just throwing this up and using Pestilence to keep it up? You could use SSx2 every time you go through your runes with no exception if you did this, which sounds pretty nice. I know this wouldn't always work, but still, seams like it could replace Icy Touch/Plague Strike for longer fights, like a boss. :D

Did you notice it has 30yards range?

i hope they make a change to this to make Fièvre écarlate come up for blood dks and for unholy dks

This is verry nice for tanking.
you will be able to build up more agro faster, because you don't have to stack diseases at the begin of a pull
This will make it much eassier to tank as a Deathknight

FINALLY A NEW ICON. Thank god. I was worried I'd be spamming Pestilence at the start of my rotation.

Commentaire de dakotacx

The great thing about this spell is the cooldown. A non-runic power spell is great for death knights. For the casual player this works like a charm with Death Grip, as a 35 sec cooldown, you can pull, kill, pull, kill without having to run.

Excellent for reapplying diseases on a boss after they've just finished a phase where they couldn't be hit. The cooldown is short enough that you can use it frequently and it means you can resume your rotation without consuming any runes or as many GCDs.

Commentaire de Yorgl

Since 4.0.6, Outbreak can now be missed (and I'm pretty sure it's spell hit that matters).
Pretty bad news for tanks and DW DKs...

Commentaire de 45353

If I have the Scarlet Fever talent, does Poussée de fièvre also apply this?

Commentaire de Arxae

Apparently, in 4.3 Blood specced Dks will have the cooldown of outbreak reduced to 30s.
So they don't need to spend as much runes on initial disease application so they can do other things with those runes :D

Source
For 4.3, we’re going to give Blood DKs a 30 second Outbreak, so they will never have to manually apply diseases to a single target.

Commentaire de kerrymayall

Loving the 30 second cooldown as a blood tank. Can basically use it on every group of trash, can effortlessly reapply diseases on bosses and it means you really only need 2 points specced into Epidemic now as that gives u 29 seconds on both diseases.

*edit x3 - bad english*

On the boss fight Ultraxion in Dragon Soul Outbreak can be cast in both the Normal Realm and the Twilight Realm. If your diseases are fixing to drop off of Ultraxion and you are in the normal realm, you can use Outbreak on the boss. So, if you used Heroic Will to avoid Hour of Twilight you can still use that single ability in either realm.

It may only be a second or two depending on the timing of Heroic Will/Fading Light but still a neat way to insure your diseases stay up full time.

Commentaire de Gershuun

This spell is missing pretty frequently since patch 5.0.4 for me as Blood DK. Might just cap Hit rating because of it.
