"Well it's not like we're here to commandeer the temple, why do we care for its well-being?" Vincent asked sourly, but cheered up the next instant, "At least we'll have even more trolls to kill on ourselves, hear-hear!"

"More trolls!" Serenade crowed, starting down into the temple. As they proceeded, the walls became damp, glistening with dew. The sound of scales rustling on stone could be heard.

"I don't like this," Serenade frowned. "Where is everyone?"

"Troll drugs are nasty things," Serenade muttered. "Hopefully they're not in ambush, but it's possible."

As he said that, they rounded a corner and came face to face with two berserker trolls. "Oh sh-" Serenade said, jumping aside as a large hammer slammed into the ground right where he had been standing.

"See? An ambush, just like I said. Watch, they'll swarm us any second now. A-a-a-a-any second now," Vincent commented, batting away the hammer of the second troll and skewering him unceremoniously.

The troll roared in anger and bullrushed Varima, attempting to crush her in his arms.

The other took Specter's punch and staggered backwards, throwing out one arm and swinging his hammer to knock him aside while it recovered from the blow.

"I SAY, HAVE AT THEE, MONGREL, what's the word, ah, yes, VERILY!" Vincent yelled, positioning himself behind the troll attacking Specter and swinging his sword parallel to the floor in an attempt to cut the tendons on its knees.

The troll growled in anger, swelling in size, and turned to assault Varima again, slashing his hammer at her.

The other was caught off guard, stumbling from the blow to its knees, then toppling over as Specter yanked the hammer from its hands.

Serenade grabbed the hammer in midair with a bust of energy and sent it at the troll attacking Varima, hitting it in the back with a dull thud and forcing it to stumble.

Gwaesylwir began to thrum and the gem in its pommel began to glow as it consumed blood of the troll. With a triumphant roar, Vincent brought the sword down onto the troll, aiming to pin it to the floor.
