Hard to imagine that the jump with this type of flask will be from 80 all the way to 3420. Something seems a bit off to me. I imagine it'll be adjusted somehow. Having the equivalent of two pieces of gear's class specific stat would seem oddly overpowered to me, especially in arenas.

im 99% sure there's been some sort of typo or glitch in tooltip, it should say:
Use: Increases your Agility, Strength, or Intellect by ~~3420~~ 340 for 2 hrs. Your highest stat is always chosen.
p.s. i havent played beta so i cant be 100% sure,but my guess makes sense (comparing it with bonuses from other proffs)
p.s.s. if it gets fixed overtime, and u see this in a future far, far away, beta tooltip said it increases states by 3420

In Cata Alchemists got a +80 bonus from Mixology when using standard flasks and a non-consumable flask that simply granted +80 for times when you couldn't or simply didn't want to use a standard flask. In Mists standard flasks grant +1000 and profession bonuses are mostly normalized to grant +320.

If this flask really did grant +3420 that would mean that alchemists would never need to use standard flasks saving them a ton of gold and on top of that they would also get a profession bonus of +2420, making the Alchemy bonus over 7 times better than the other professions. That would be insanely overpowered.

Bottom line, this tooltip is wrong. The flask grants +320 in order to allow Alchemists to still have their profession bonus while not using a standard flask.

Either the Tooltip is wrong or this flask is absolutely awesome and different from previous expansion's version of this flask.

This Flask gives a 3420+ stat buff and does not get consumed, while standard MoP flasks only give a 1000+ stat buff.

Previous expansion's versions of this buff, give a lesser buff then a normal flask which is usually equal to the stat benefit given by other professions. For example in Cataclysm: Flask of Enhancement gave a 80+ stat buff, while your other cata Flasks (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) gave a +300 stat buff.

Seems pretty OP and most likely wrong but i would love it to be +1000 stat buff (or slightly more) to make in in line with the other flasks we make, saving us alchemists lots of gold/time spent gathering herbs for ourselves.

Other example is Wrath's Flask of the North, the other flasks made at this time was Flask of the Frost Wyrm etc

炼金师的合剂 is a spiritual replacement for , which no longer exists in MoP. I say spiritual because the fact that this flask and that flask do not share the same item number means that when the 5.0.4 patch happens every Alchemist will lose their and need to create a brand new 炼金师的合剂 to use from then on.

The mats are not a mistake: the recipe for this flask is learned at 300 Alchemy skill and the buff now scales with level (visible by looking at the buff here: 炼金师的合剂) indicating that this perk is now available to Alchemists of much lower level than previous. I don't have a lower level alchemist with high enough skill handy to verify this claim offhand though.

As already mentioned, the 3420 value listed currently on Wowhead is incorrect: it is 320 in the beta. This bug is affecting the slider for the buff spell I linked above though, so you can't rely on it to correct estimate the value at a certain level as the high end is incorrect.

Edit: Note that this comment was originally made against the beta, before 5.0.4 hit live. When 5.0.4 did hit live, all alchemists that had had 炼金师的合剂 mailed to them automatically.

For some reason, just had one of these mailed to me from an npc today upon login (first day of 5.0.4).

EDIT: These are mailed to you, to replace the old non-consumable flasks that no longer exist (and were apparently deleted), this one will now apparently automagically scale with your level :D. Thanks @Hannibal08.

At level 75: +32 bonus. At 85: +80 bonus. Will edit with more numbers as I level my new alchemist.

Interestingly, still only +32 at level 76. Stays +32 until level 80, then jumps to +80 at level 81.

After 5.0.4 patch all alchemist unlearned old recipe and had to learn new one from trainer (with vanilla mats). As item old non-consumable flask was removed and new was send by mail upon login after 5.0.4. From this point Alchemist's Flask add same bonus like other professions and automatically scale with your level.
For example at 81-85 its +80 bonus, at 86-90 its 320 bonus.

It seems that it scales when you get close to 90. At the start of my character leveling it gave 80 agi buff for 2 hours now that I am 89 it gives 320. This is helpful for those that had the flask already made from cata since they do not need to do the quest line to do this.

So guys one question em i the only one who thinks alchemists doesnt have any benefits from profession or what ... for example Blacksmith got 2 extra gems ... tailoring got clock enchant ... engineering got gadgets :P and so on and only alchemy who needed a much more stronger Alchemist Flask we got one with only 320 Stats GG blizzard

Macro this into something you already re-cast all the time; it operates off the global cooldown.

For example, here is a macro for Death Knights.

#showtooltip Horn of Winter
/use Horn of Winter
/use Alchemist's Flask

This will both cast Horn of Winter (expending global cooldown) and also refresh your flask duration at the same time. Use something similar for yourself, like Shouts for Warriors, Dark Intent for Warlocks, Blessings for Paladins, etc.

If you're already under the effects of a 1k-stat flask, you will receive the error that you're already under a more powerful effect, so don't worry about canceling your raid flask with this macro accidentally. If you don't want that error message to show up every time you use Horn of Winter or whatever while flasked, you can add a line to your macro as such:

#showtooltip Horn of Winter
/use Horn of Winter
/use Alchemist's Flask
/run UIErrorsFrame:Clear()

(Note: You can also use "/cast" interchangeably with "/use" in macros for items or spells, but it's more characters, and macros have a character limit, so I use "/use.")

Seems to be scaling at level 86 - I have lock and druid, both alchemists. Druid has +80 at level 85, lock has 320 at level 86.

1. Use this outside raids for the passive 320 stat perk that all crafting professions get.

2. During raids, you don't need to drink this. It will NOT stack with a regular 1000 stat flask, but never fear! 药剂混合学 will enhance your regular 1000 stat flask to 1320 stats.

If you're a new Alchemist trying to find out where you learn this, look at your trainer for Alchemy trainable at level 300, even though the recipe says 550 >_>

Although this flask will not scale to 320 until 86 you get the full 1320 from a regular flask at 85. Possibly an oversight, but a welcome one.

At level 90 with 600 Alchemy, this flask gives exactly 320 of a single stat.
Not really worth it, since the elixirs (and even flasks) are quite cheap.

However, just to point out, this +320 Agi/Str/Intel is exactly how much Mixology (alchemist's "bonus") grants if you consume a full flask.
So, in short, this item will allow you to constantly receive your Mixology bonus even when you do not consume a "full" flask...

This item is most have! Unlike most flasks this one is reusable and has no cooldown. It can also be used in arena and rbg's for a boost similar to other professions.

These are the stats you will get per level:

50-70: 16
71-80: 32
81-85: 80
86-90: 320

When you ding from one bracket to the next remove the flask buff and reapply.

For me, this Flask is not compelling. I did gain +5 skill points making it, which is somewhat redeeming. For my level 50-ish toon and in contrast, using the 强效聪颖药剂 offers me +25 int and _is_ affected by Mixology . It's Mixology bumps it up to +33 int (double the flask's) and lasts for 2 hours. Plus, the 强效聪颖药剂 mats are somewhat easier to farm in large quantities. The only drawback is that 强效聪颖药剂 is affected by death. But then, my toon rarely dies.

For stats other than int, your mileage may vary.

To me, this flask is yet another sign that Blizzard has wanted to mercy-kill Alchemy. Blizzard started acting like Dr. Kevorkian years ago, by restricting potions to a once-per-encounter use, by ensuring Inscription scrolls compete with Alchemy, and by creating "Battle" and "Guardian" elixirs. I missing the days when I could run around with at least 6 different Alchemy buffs. Perhaps the Alchemist's Flask will scale more favorably at level 70. For now, this flask would not be compelling, even it if was affected by Mixology.

I have the impression that the existence of cheap flasks and an item called crystal of insanity (drop from a rare in valley of the four winds) just about nullifies the meainig of this alchemy perk making alchemy in effect perk wise the weakest profession. Even weaker then herbalism with its haste spell lifeblood that functions like a extra on use trinket that stacks nicely with other buffs.
I really hope blizzard will give alchemists a better perk SOON!

The tool tip in the alchemy profession window seems to be busted. I'm at level 75 and it reads that my intellect increase will be "128 for 2 hours" when in fact I only get "32". I was pumped to see that much of an intellect boost but when I took a swig, I saw the paltry 32 :-/

Anyway, yea. The tooltip is wrong.

With how easy it now is to obtain a 狂乱水晶 on the Timeless Isle, this flask is not very useful at level 90. The crystal lasts for 1 hour with a 15 min CD, so the only time you'd ever really use the flask is if you die within 15 minutes of using the crystal, as it doesn't persist through death.

That said, it's still useful all the way up to 85-90 and will likely continue to scale past 90 in the future expansion(s), unlike the crystal.

Blizz needs to pull their head out of their butt on this. It's cool now that we can use higher level enchants and gems and they just scale to our level, but they f'd up on this flask. I'm 55 now and my Alchemy is sitting at 337and I and I can make Alchemist's Flask, I should be getting higher intellect than stinking +12! I was all excited when the tooltip read +48 Int. Then I just noticed I'm only getting +12. Absolute BS! When I can make Elixir of Greater Intellect with easier to gather mats. Elixir of Greater Intel tooltip says +25 Int. When I drink it it comes out to +31 Int. Look at some of the other comments on here. Like this one from Thrallscream "I'm at level 75 and it reads that my intellect increase will be "128 for 2 hours" when in fact I only get "32"." Why even bother with this Alchemist's Flask when there are other Flasks and Potions that blow this so called "perk" away. At level 75 you can use Flask of the Frost Wyrm for +125 Int.

I took a break from playing WOW around patch 4.1 and had gotten the scroll of res around patch 5.4 at this time my rogue was lv 68 and i have already had this item in my bag so i suppose they changed it automatically and didn't mail it to my with the scroll of res, but i am having an issue with this item. When i first used it in the early 70's (alchemy 450) (forgot to use until i had leveled a couple of times)it stated that it would give me a buff of 64 but i would only get 16 when i looked at the top right corner of the screen with the rest of my buffs.. I understand that it changes the buff depending on your level and When I hovered over the flask at level 77 (alchemy 525) the tool tip it says that it gives 128 buff to str, agi, or int . but in the top right corner of the screen it says that i am getting a 32 point buff for the flask. Any feedback would be helpful regarding this matter, Thanks for reading and good luck,

P.S. I have a ticket into blizz for a couple of days now but when i get back from them i will update what they tell me.

edit: i had just received the reply from blizz and the 128 tool tip reading is an error and that the 32 at the high 70's level is in fact accurate.

I have a problem with the way this functions as the 320 or 480 added stats for alchemists. I know you also get 1320 or 1480 (depending on stat chosen) out of using the flasks everyone else uses to raid with, BUT everyone else (all other professions) is able to stack their 320/480 with Crystal of Insanity (+500 all stats). Alchemist's Flask and Crystal of Insanity will NOT stack, making the Alchemist's Flask only useful for the time your crystal is on cooldown (15min) and you have died and lost the buff (which, unless you died the moment you used the crystal, is going to make it even less than 15 min). Normally this would be considered extremely picky, but I find that just about EVERYONE knows about the crystal and has managed to get a hold of one.Level the playing field Blizzard. No one likes having to use a flask at all times just to reap the FULL benefits of their profession.

In Warlords of Draenor, this will probably not be worth the effort to craft. It will give 20 of a primary stat as opposed to the 200 gained from other sources. It is rather pitiful.

If you want a temporary free flask, the crystal of insanity is your best bet (unless they have something in Warlord of Draenor with the same effect). It will give 57 of *all* primary statistics.
