it indeed would but it's coming in wotlk anyway.
but, it's for honors and marks, but will this be also sold for badges? if it will i think it'll cost about 200 badges maybe so the honors is the easier way to go.

This is on the 3.0.2 PTR, so you'll be able to pick it up before WotLK when that patch goes live.

This is also true with the new 20,000 Honor PvP Capes.

According to Eyonix, seen here http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=10043252440&sid=1 , There will be an honor reset with the expansion this time around. He said in the next content patch there will be some items to spend your honor as to not lose it all for nothing.

This, and presumably all of these found here https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/items&filter=maxrl=70;cr=131:93;crs=1:1;crv=0:0 , will be those items.

You can buy this item from Horde or Alliance for 35,000 Honor points and 40 Alterac Valley Mark of Honor.

Are you leveling 70 melee who likes to PvP? save up some honor, and this is one of the best non-profession trinkets til 80.
