well when i came to being able to make these i was like yeah thats a pretty good ring. so i made like 10 expecting them to go for a bit 6-8 gold mainly cause of the mats but i was sadly mistaken when other people started postin these on AH for like 2-3 gold. i would say these are very easy for powerleveling your JC, not so much your pocket book.

I'm actually coming out ahead by prospecting mithril (I've accumulated 25 star rubies in a short time.)

Then I craft bunches of these and DE them. The Essences go for about 7g/ea on the AH -- and you can get 2 sometimes. The dust isn't horrible either.

It's alot better than the earlier grind with aquamarines -_-

Out of 25 rings I made, I received 13 Greater Nether Essences, 20 Dream Dust, and 1 Large Radiant.
According to wowhead, AH prices of those mats should total 127.5G
Also according to wowhead, Star Rubies are 1.5g/ea and the Thorium should be purchasable for 1-2g each.
I'd actually call it a slight money maker.

In the Seventh Tower series by Garth Nix there's mention of a "Red Ray of Destruction"
Though this is probably a reference to the famous Xbox 360 malfunction known commonly as the "Red Ring of Death"
wherein the owner's console crashes and flashes a red ring of lights to indicate a problem.

at lvl 60, +14 crit rating = +1% crit
it will be more at a lower lvl, less % crit at a higher lvl.

To get th same increase in % crit with INT, you need roughly the same amount as your lvl.
I.E. 50 INT at LVL 50 to get +1%crit

obviously INT give a larger mana pool as well.

in conclusion this ring at lvl 60 gives the roughly the same +% crit as +35-38 INT

Spell +Critical Formula (applicable from levels 10-60)
% increase = (52 * critical strike rating) / (14 * (level - 8))

Assuming one were at the lowest level possible, this ring comes out to ~1.01% critical strike increase, which, with most spells, sucks compared to similar +damage rings (eg Advisor's Ring - +9 spell damage, and+5 stam, and .6 mana/second regen)

Farii the Master Jewelcrafter trainer in Exodar can train this. I imagine there's a horde trainer in Silvermoon City that also trains it.

This is pretty much the last thing that Jewelcrafters make that doesn't require freaking Thorium. Why the *&^% do we have to use Thorium 20 freaking levels before blacksmiths start?

Edit: when I made this comment, not only was I in a bad mood, but I was clearly not thinking xD.
