If you really want this enchant, you should run Lower Blackrock Spire (LBRS), this dropped for my group FOUR times in 2 runs. It dropped off of normal mobs, not just bosses. 2 of them were ogres, can't remember what the others were.

I don't know that the price quoted above is correct for buyout (390g), but you can likely sell this for loads of money, as it's a prime twink enchant.

What would be a better enchant for a dual-wield enh shammy at level 40 with Heaven's Light https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=13026 and Wirt's Third Leg https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/item=9359, fiery or +5 damage?

From what I understand, fiery increases DPS by about +2. In doing some calculations, it looks like the +5 enchant would increase DPS by only slightly less. It seems like fiery is the winner, but is there more of a benefit with the raw +5 damage enchant over fiery specifically related to windfury? Thanks in advance.

had this drop today while on my alt and i won it when i put it in the AH my addon told me others sold for 1000g plus sold mine for 545g i cant belive someone would pay that much for a low lvl enchant

Farming at 85 as mage:

Should be able to do this without pulling any mobs or pats except where noted, though if you do, at 85, they're cake.

Enter the instance, go up ramp to the right, through door on the right at top of ramp, drop off the ledge.
Down the ramp, through the doorway on the left.
You'll come out to a platform that has 5 mobs. Go to the right edge of the platform and go all the way to the corner, turn right and slow fall to the lowest level.
Run down the middle of the hallway, avoiding all the mobs on the sides, you'll get to the base of a ramp up with 5 mobs, one of whom is sleeping. Kill all 5, then run up the ramp toward the spiders.
Turn invisible just as you reach the spiders, and you should be able to bypass all of them, just barely.
Finish going up the ramp to the first group of Spirestone ogres. Clear the platform of all of them.
On the right edge of the platform, look down to see a bridge with more ogres. Drop down and clear the bridge.
Clear the room to the West, then head back East, two more guarding the entrance, and that's it, run out, reset, go again till it drops.
When running out, there are a couple spots with mobs you have to run between. If you run exactly between them, they won't agro you. However, back in the first room, you'll agro the group under the bridge. Just run out, no point wasting time killing them.

PS. most of these ogres aren't the Spirestone Warlords that you're looking for. If there's none in the room, no need to clear it.

Edit: Drop rate, at least for me, was way below the 12% stated by wowhead. Took 10-15 runs to finally get it to drop. YMMV.

it still drops in lbrs and the mobs are still there dont know why wowhead dont show but their whole brs page is bugged out. the pattern is a very common drop. worth no more than 50g

Confirmed to still drop in 5.4.7(off the ogre rare in LBRS), but with the announcement of Warlords of Draenor and the rebuilding of the old Blackrock dungeons, this may not be the case for much longer. Get it now, while you can.

dropped for my group and i while we were doing warlords command and since none of us were enchanters, we greeded... i won, sold for 120g, and more than made up for the price of my mats for my black dragonscale shoulders =D

I had to come back here to figure out where I picked up this thing. Sold it for 500g within a few hours. Considering the mats+tip cost anywhere around 50G typically for the enchanct. Whoever buys this thing has no problem getting a return on their money. If i ever get another, its going for higher.

Is the enchant like: if you have a weapon with 10 dps, does it give 15 dps(10+5) then?

it doesnt give 5 dps. it gives weapon damage.
so a weapon with 60-100 damage and 2.0 sec attack speed equals 40dps. applying the enchant gives 65-105 and 2.0 sec attack speed equals 42.5 dps. the enchant is clearly better on fast weapons.

There is a new upgraded version of this that you can get with TBC Consortium Rep. This is still going 200-300g on my server; prolly collectors, but it isn't the top enchant of it's kind anymore, and probably isn't worth that.

I am really curious to see if this enchant (intentionally or not) provides +5 to ranged damage. +10 damage is a hell of a lot better than the +30 agi enchants I have right now. I can't afford to test it out though, and I'm not sure where to get a bow with consistent damage (maybe a low level one?). Any info would be VERY appreciated.

i ain't hunter, but:
the enchant provides the +dam on the weapon you have the enchantment on, its not a global value. If you enchant the weapon in your mainhand with +5, the offhand weapon won't be affected nor will your ranged slot be.

would you like to see rogues increasing basedam by 10% having a scope on their guns/bows? .)

Unless my math is bad...

+15 Str:
Attack Speed formula for Warriors: (Character Level * 3) + (Strength * 2) - 20
+15 Str would give 30 attack power.
14 Attack Power makes 1 Damage per Second.
So, +15 str gives 2.14 DPS, regardless of weapon speed.

+5 Damage
1.3 attack speed : 5/1.3 = 3.846 extra DPS
1.5 attack speed : 5/1.5 = 3.333 (repeating, of course) extra DPS
1.7 attack speed : 5/1.7 = 2.941 extra DPS
1.9 attack speed : 5/1.9 = 2.631 extra DPS
2.1 attack speed : 5/2.1 = 2.380 extra DPS
2.3 attack speed : 5/2.3 = 2.173 extra DPS
2.5 attack speed : 5/2.5 = 2.000 extra DPS
...
3.9 attack speed : 5/3.9 = 1.282 extra DPS

Conclusion:
If you're a Warrior deciding between this enchant and +15 Stregth, it just depends on the attack speed of the weapon. If the weapon is 2.3 or faster, go with this enchant. Any slower and just go with +15 Strength.

This enchant is for 19 twink rogues who are specced into Ambush/Backstab

you put the enchant on a dagger MH

do not put it on your weapon if you are a hunter...it will not increase you bow/xbow's damage

as a warrior/paladin...do not use it...like above posts said...slow weapons will not benefit as much as a dagger...and the fact that the only class that uses a dagger at 19 is a rogue...it makes +5damage obsolete.

the reason this sells for so much...is because the enhancers who want all the enchants, will pay whatever it takes to get it....and since its a rare drop off of 1 select Mob in LBRS (an obsolete dungeon)...makes the price of obtaining it a little more rare than normal

Soloable as a decently geared rogue. Sneak past Hordemar City and the spiders, and you'll find the area with Spirestone Warlords and Battle Mages. It's where the Fire Festival bonfire is located when that event is on. Prey on them one by one. There's a patrol that can be isolated, two individual mobs who can be body-pulled and then two pairs of mobs (was always 1 Warlord and 1 Mage together). Dominate the Mages without the use of cooldowns, so they can be saved for the Warlords. Pop all your CD's on these guys, save up 5 points for a Kidney Shot at around ~30-40% because they enrage and will bash you in. For the pairs, Sap the Warlord, burn down the Mage, save your CD's, reset, then immediately go for the Warlord. If you Sap the Mage instead, it's worse because you'll have to burn your CD's, fight a longer fight, and risk the Mage breaking Sap and getting spells off while you're neck and neck with the Warlord. So I recommend Sap the Warlord and burn the Mage first, and reset.

There is a reset in this area -- pop your Sprint, run past the scorpids and bugs (you will likely pull these btw), like you're heading for the doorway straight ahead; but right before the doorway, there is a cliff to the left that leads back down to the start of the area. So turn about 45 degrees to the left, make a good strong jump at an angle towards the far wall and you'll land on an outcropping of rocks. There it will reset the mobs. You may want to practice a couple times to learn your angle, because if you miss, you slide all the way down and no reset. The reset is just to save the time you'd be waiting for Vanish to cooldown.

Group with your alt, reset the instance, and repeat. I am not a great rogue and I struggle with other rogue farms sometimes, but I was able to really do this one efficiently and stop dying altogether once I grasped it.
