As it currently stands, players will not be able to complete this achievement (or the meta-acheivement What A Long, Strange Trip It's Been) until September 20th, 2009 at the earliest, when Brewfest 2009 begins. ~~All new characters, including death knights, will be unable to complete this achievement until September 2010 at the earliest.~~

Update: Brew of the Year was removed as a requirement for this achievement in patch 3.1. Players can now complete the achievement in one year.

No Death Knight or other new characters since Wrath can complete this until 2010, which is crap, in my opinion, and many others. If it can't be completed during the holiday, it shouldn't be in the Meta achievement.

Since they took out these "rare" item achievements from meta achievements of all other holidays and they also did not include Veteran Nanny in the meta for Children's Week, they should take Brew of the Year out for sure. The rest is alright to get and fair is fair for the mount because you have to get a Sinister Squashling for the Hallows End meta. However, having something in the meta that required you to know about the achievements before the system was live is ridiculous. Brew of the Year should be an achievement, but it should be stricken from the meta like Lovely Luck Is On Your Side was from Fool of Love and so on.

Also when looking at Have Keg, Will Travel you see that there are a couple of new skills and such added to it. Maybe they will be bringing back a way to buy a mount. Even if it is a cheap slow one, it looks like you might be able to get the achievement. Though these things could be there also to represent the '07 Brewfest mounts as well. (this last part is simply speculation.)

Edit to add the fact that the meta will be changed by april. Yay!

Does anyone know how many brewfest prizes tokens one can get through the entire holiday, for those of us who didnt buy the clothing or the brew of the month last year you will need 550 tokens to get both Disturbing the peace and brew of the month

OMG genius idea I just had for all you overachievers out there. I'm just going to take a guess and say the event is going to start out 12:00 AM server (or 0:00 for all you crazy euro people <3), because that's usually when world events start. So what you need to do is make sure you finish all the daily quests for this event before 4:00 AM server, so they all reset and you can do them again. That way you can finish the achievement and (for awesome people like me) get your violet proto a day earlier.

Although some people are saying you need 550 tokens for Brewmaster, this is not true.
In fact, you need only 350.

Disturbing the Peace, (https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/achievement=293) requires you to have 3 Brewfest clothing items. To purchase all 3 it costs 350 tokens. To save yourself from building up another,un-needed , 200 tokens for the Brew of the Month Membership (https://www.wowhead.com/mop-classic/achievement=2796) , simply return all 3 clothing items to the vendor for a refund after completeing the achievment, and then buy the Brew of the Month Membership form.

Does the selling of the clothing back still work as of the patch? I'm not quite at 350 yet and I'm hoping they didn't stealth nerf this.... to be honest, tokens are so hard to come by that this sellback seems almost mandatory to get the achievement...especially for those of us who can't log on every day.

On a side note, is anyone having a problem with the ram race where the you don't throw the keg to the goblin at the start right away? A few times I had to run laps around the guy before my toon finally tosses it over to him which wastes a lot of time ...today it was so bad that I only got 8 tokens before the clock ran out! :(

By my math this is impossible to achieve in a single brewfest.

Edit: My math is fail. I was unaware of the periodic events and the repeatable ram race quest.

I can however confirm that trading Brewfest clothing items back to the vendor is possible. Just don't try it with the consumables.

One nice new feature, you can sell your items back in 2 hours.
This means you can, for example, buy the brewfest clothing, get smashed and dance in Dalaran,
then you sell the dress back to the vendor and buy the brew of the month card, saving you 200 tokens.
Might make it a little easier, and I haven't seen too many people still wearing it a month after the event.

First of all , if u want to have Brewmaster in one year and you cant get big scores at Ram Racing be smart and trick blizzard :) As now from Patch 3.2.0 i think , Items bought from vendors can be sold back and get refunded :) So do it like this : First do all quests when u enter brewfest and u should get around 50-60 Tokens , than go and finish the first ram racing . After this on the way to Razor hill u will see quest giver next to the guy giving u brew portable keg , finish the ram racing ( On the way u will see Apples , cross near them and u will loose the exhausted counter ) . On a ram racing u will get like 10-20 even if it is first time .Than Get the quest "Save Brewfest " ( At the way to Razor Hill ) and go to Kill Coren Direbrew , when u will enter the istance there will be DireBrew Spy , talk to the guy to complete " Save Brewfest " and than u will see a daily quest , get the daily quest and talk to Coren Direbrew ( u can get the daily only if u are 75+ and u should complete it so all grp get 5 tries ) , than on the first loot he will drop item from which u can start a quest , ( Will only work if ur 75+ or 80 , dont rly remember ) , Get the quest and when u finish killing Coren DireBrew go to org and leave the quest at Brewfest ( This will give u 40 tokens ) After this everyday u will see 1 daily quest ( u need to run in orgrimmar at the AH , Valley of Honor , Valley of Wisdom and Valley of Spirits ). than every hour dark iron dwarfs will attack and if u beat em u will get like a part of a watch on the ground with , Right click on it and u will get q , u need to speak to a guy in the brewfest ... Gz to all ! Uggh almost forgot to tell u the trick :) Get 350 tokens , buy 20 beers and go to the vendor that sells items , buy the 3 parts and go to Dalaran City , get smashed and /dance , than when u will get the achivment go back to brewfest and sell the items , than buy Brew of the month Membership , Get the quest , leave it and u will get ur Brewfest only with 350 tokens ;) ( Not lIke me with 550 ) xD

Just did same as GeneticArmor, buy the stuff, get achiev, sell em back, get membership and keg, expept for u can buy the hat too! Which are the most awesome part of the set! :D

For those who wish to be festive by permanently collecting the 3-piece Brewfest garb AND joining the brew of the month club, I can confirm that you do NOT necessarily need to use the sell-back method to walk away with just the membership. Completing the barrel-running with even a slight level of competence every day along with doing the dark iron invasion and barking will give a person more than enough tokens to buy the membership, the clothes, and then some. I was pretty diligent about doing all three but did miss a couple of days here and there, and I was still able to get the Brewmaster title. Sorry for lack of actual math, but I did not think to start keeping track when I started.

Getting smashed and flying yields interesting results, not recommended if you are auto-running while you are AFK.

My personal experience: I was flying to Shattrath city smashed from Hellfire Peninsula via auto-run while I alt-tabbed for a bit... I tabbed back just in time to see my drake reach the "drop" zone in the middle of the Twisting Nether! I had a good laugh though, it's fun to fly smashed if you're there to steer it clear from danger.

nowadays the lfg system provides 40 extra token when you kill the boss (Q item drops). This quest seems repetable, although last year was not possible. This makes achievement a lot easier, allowing you to get dresses, brewfest form, pet.

You do not need to buy any of the Brewfest Clothes for the Brewmaster title. At all. Disturbing the Peace is not part of the Meta-Achievement. You only need to get the Brew of the Month Club Membership, along with the Brewfest Hops for the Have Keg, Will Travel...Achievement.
That is all.

I looked on my achievements list today and don't see the Brewmaster Achievement anymore (I have not yet gotten it). Has it been removed in Cata? That would be sad because I only had to kill Direbrew to complete it. >_<

Brewmaster only takes a couple of days to complete (if you do all the associated quests and dailies everyday) now that they have removed Brew of the Year as one of the requirements, making 12 months easier to achieve.

Other achievements that are no longer needed for Brewmaster are:

Disturbing the Peace
Drunken Stupor
Strange Brew

just dont know how to log the
"does your wolpertinger linger?"
or the
"Down With The Dark Iron" quests.
iv'e done all the quests in ironforge on the alliance side.
anyone know where to log those two quests?

Is this title still obtainable for 2012 Brewfest? I don't see it in my achieves, but I may be missing it. Just wondering if it's worth getting a group together to run BRD (which I also don't see in my Dungeon Finder).

Brewmaster metas can be completed by multiple characters on the same account now. My Death Knight had 5 of the 6 required achievements minus the Brew of the Month. Which I obtained on my Warlock, and was awarded this achievement.
