While the cost for this mission may seem obscene, note that if you score the bonus loot you get 12 bloods, which can be traded for 2400 order resources.

I have this in my class hall today, it will cost me 7.200 order resources, yes that is correct 7.200.

As of today 21.2.2018, the cost of this mission is 2,400 Order Resources on EU realms. Is this glitch or intended? Cause the price of other Blood of Sargeras missions have also been raised..

seriously.. I accidentally accepted to do this mission.. never again. You can do 8-10 other missions for the same cost. I wish I could ban this mission like I can some battleground maps.

Blizzard has apparently cracked down on using the mission board to get Blood of Sargeras to exchange for Order Resources (far exceeding the mission cost) to endlessly fund missions without ever having to log in / earn resources.

Now, all Blood of Sargeras missions have enormous Order Resource costs exactly matching the amount of Order Resources you'll pull in if you get the bonus reward. So if you can get a 200% completion chance on these, you're getting a "free" way to move Order Resources between characters or earn Follower Experience, because you will exactly break even on these missions. Otherwise the house always wins and you should skip these missions if you're not hitting 200% or have no need for Follower XP / moving resources to alts.

Meanwhile, they have left in and even added (by changing rewards for old missions) missions that cost resources but reward more resources than they cost. So they're not against that in theory, but either the amount was too high or they were unhappy with players moving the resources to alts as needed. Who knows.
