longest and most confusing quest of all i know,but still u gain more than 3 levels and a lot of money,besides,a nice totem that can heal both mana and health

Did this as soon as I hit 20. I handed in 1 quest in the Crossroads, then turned 1 more quest in at Tarren Mill. I had never been to Ashenvale or Hillsbrad, and the only thing I killed was the elemental. After completing the quest, I had 75%, which is 15 bars, 5 bars left til 21. Lots of exp for level 20. =] Plus, healing stream totem is very nice.

Oh, and by the way...

GRATS FOR FINISHING THE CHAIN! The wind totem quest is a lot easier than this one. And a lot shorter too...

Due to being lazy i finished the quest at level 34. And received 5875 exp for a 20 lvl quest!

So the exp depends on your level!

Received 14,5k xp for completing the final step of this questline as level 58. The other steps gave me about 6-8k exp.

I did this quest And the fire totem @ level 69 i totaly got 156215 xp because i think that if i had thoes totems when i leveled or not would be the same ^&*! and it took me like 1h to make both of thoes quests

Make sure you have a lot of time on your hands to do this one, you'll have to trek back and forth from Undercity and Southern barrens multiple times as well as a sprinkling of Ashenvale.

This quest line is utter crap and complete bull$%^&. Seriously. With all the things they've done to speed up levelling, and they completely left out one of the biggest sack-of-@#$% waste-of-time questlines ever, spending your time travelling all over the world to places you're likely not to go to ever again (Ashenvale, Tirisfal) on your way to 80.

They dropped the questlines for locks and paladins, this should've been dropped too.

This is a completely idiotic quest, I hate it so much. First they make you run all around the world, about an hour of useless running, then at the final part, they have a QUEST in case you failed the very last part of the quest with the EXACT same name as the main quest. So the idea is this: You fail to chat with the elemental at the end, you now get the option to go back to bloody Barrens, get a new item, then come back and try it again.

Well guess what? I figured I would abandon this quest afterwards, since I didn't need it. And I abandoned the WRONG bloody quest! So another USELESS trip to Barrens, back to Sepulcher, and then WALK back to Undercity to catch a ride home since the bloody hearthstone is on CD. Yes, measured in annoyance, this quest scores 10 out of 10 possible. If it was not absolutely necessary, I would have skipped it in a heartbeat.

Here's an idea Blizzard: How about you DONT make people go back to freaking Barrens if they fail the last part?

I am so !@#$ed off right now it is almost insane.

For those of you who do this quest, make SURE not to make my mistake and abandon the wrong quest at the end.

Oh BTW, for the last step, in order to get to the water elemental place, you dont have to walk all around the mountains from Sepulcher. Just go to the back of Sepulcher, jump past the tree - its tricky, but its possible, and carefully jump down the mountainside to get to the shore.

This quest was removed in patch 4.0.1 along with a large amount of other class-specific quests.
