And for people who haven't played hunter before:
Don't fly to Silvermoon when you have tamed the bat! It will dismiss it and you just have to fly back tame another one and walk.

Something of note, that I just found out:

These quests scale in XP, per your level. I powerleveled my hunter using the recruit a friend and granted levels up to 58 then did these quests. They were worth 9k each when I turned them in. Had my friend been online, I assume I would have gotten 9k times 3 XP.

So if you're using the recruit a friend program when doing this, you might keep that in mind.
