The extra action button for the blightspreader didn't show up until I left the area and came back.

Once you find the tiny gun object to click on, on the table, at the quests centre point, you can then collect the required items and go on to spray the abominations. Quest didnt make it clear you had to find the gun first.

The Blightspreader is on a table outside.
The fluid is outside and in the cave.
The Abominations are outside down a level.
