There is a bug with this quest. If you accept it, you'll get a quest timer as well as a timer on the item. If you log out, the quest timer continues to tick away but the item timer does not. If you then log on later after the quest timer has expired, you will find that the item timer hasn't expired yet and the quest will still show as done (not failed, giving the impression that you can complete the quest). However, if you then go to Krazel, you will not be able to talk to him.

There also seems to be another bug, in that if you abandon it the questgiver seems very reluctant to give it back. Sometimes the exclamation mark is there, sometimes it is not. To be safe, you should not accept the quest until you are prepared to do it. The bug does not happen to everyone, though.

At level 40 I was not able to get this quest after turning in "Back to Booty Bay" (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=1118). I am guessing that you have to complete "Zanzil's Secret" (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=621) first, although that quest will ruin your Bloodsail reputation for those interested.

Best way to do this one is take the ship from Booty Bay to Ratchet
and from there fly to Tanaris and walk to Kravel Koalbeard.

Hmmm I don't get this quest after having completed "Back to Booty Bay" at level 41 :(

He is at 78.77.
I only got 5300xp from this quest, plus an extra 525xp from the follow-up (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=1121) which is available after finishing this quest.

This quest does count for Loremaster of Kalimdor.

I picked this up after completing Back to Booty Bay, the NPC didn't show as having a quest until about five or six seconds after the Back to Booty Bay hand in. The quest has a two hour timer which gave me heaps of time to take the boat to Ratchet, fly down to Tanaris and ride through to Thousand Needles. (I had about 1 hour, 48 minutes to spare!)

Two quests then became available to me: Get the Gnomes Drunk and Get the Goblins Drunk, only one can be selected will have a two hour timer. Another quest follows (Report Back to Fizzlebub) that will have you go back to Booty Bay.

Both this quest, the get the 'race' drunk quest and the reporting back quests counted towards my Loremaster of Kalimdor, and they definitely all exist.

Now I just need to find two more quests!

Start by questing in Shimmering Flats. Take The Rumormonger from Thousand Needles to Krazek in Booty Bay and complete a small quest for him in Swamp of Sorrows. It will take you back to Thousand Needles to complete Rumors for Kravel .

This quest will open Back to Booty Bay.

Complete the quest Zanzil's Secret.

These should allow for Zanzil's Mixture and a Fool's Stout to open up.

[I figured out how to use Zanzil's mixture with stout to make a powerful libation. A Fool's Stout. I think it'll be just what Kravel needs, but try it out and let me know how it works.

And <name>, don't keep this stuff too long without using it. Zanzil's mixture has a weird effect on the stout's yeast, kicking it into high gear. So it won't stay fresh forever.]
