I'm sorry but I'm going to have to break your post down into paragraphs...
So I started thinking about what might happen in the new expansion relating to cities and such. What first came to mind is how the Dwarves might be affected seeing as how they are so close to Grim Batol in Wetlands (where Deathwing is said to rest, and where a dungeon and raid will be placed in the expansion).
If this is where Deathwing resides, I as a hardcore Hordie would like to see the dwarves under siege by the black dragonflight or something of the sorts. This certainly be a way to add some excitement and new quests to the dwarf starting zone.
It might also open up means for a raid of sorts to take back the city after phasing out after certain questline is complete leading you to Stormwind or Gilneas. A questline as when you open the gates to Ahn'Qiraj and get a feat of strength could be something you have to endure to reclaim the city. A Horde city like the Undercity could also be taken.

That would be cool.
Except Deathwing isn't in Grim Batol. He's in Deepholme, the elemental plane of earth, and will cause the Cataclysm by bursting out of the ground just north of Stormwind (on a side note, how come we haven't heard anything about Stormwind? Surely that city would get damaged considering it's bordering what will be Deathwing Scar).
After coming out of the ground he'll fly over EK to Grim Batol (which will be in Twilight Highlands), and rest there.

The Zone Deepholme is rising up between Dun Morogh and Elwynn Forest; that is where Deathwing is re-emerging into Azeroth. Grim Batol will be part of the Twilight Highland zone more then likely, and the Batol has Wildhammer history, not Ironforge.

I was simply stating the fact that seeing as they are the closest city, they'd be attacked if any. And I did not mention the Wildhammer dwarves because it would be irrelevant in the fact previously stated in relation to distance. Grim Batol is where the raid against Deathwing is set though, and so he will reside there.
Says who? More then likely Deathwing's new base will be in Deepholme, not Grim Batol. Yes, there is a new raid there, but it will probably be a place for Twilight Hammer members and new Twilight Dragons. And their not irrelevant.. if your reclaiming the Batol, they would be at the forefront to get their ancient homeland back....

Well atleast acording to Wowhead's Cata guide and what WoWofficials have released it is the raid in which you will defeat Deathwing.Yes... but no where has it been revealed where the Destroyer is. Grim Batol has it's own raid and instances, but I doubt it will be the final one, as that would completely remove the point of the Deepholme rising. If your going to face off against the corrupted Aspect of the Earth, doesn't it make more sense to fight him in the Earth Element Realm instead of a ruined ex-dwarf home?

I don't think its been officially released yet (and possibly not till the expansion) that the Red Dragonflight has cornered him at Grim Batol. And it is possible that you don't actually defeat Deathwing in there, but instead he flees or you are over powered such as in the Halls of Reflection and an escape ust be made. A later raid could be revealed where you do finally defeat him though. The developers hope to have four raids when the expansion hits and two in later patches. This leaves room for a Deepholme raid in which you actually kill Deathwing
Uh where did I say anything about the Red Flight..... I think your working from old information there; go read up the new stuff on the Twilight Highlands and how they are connected to Grim Batol. While your looking up that, look up the information on Deepholme as well; as that is again, the Earth Elemental realm in Azeroth, Deathwing would be his strongest there; it's possible he might be in Grim Batol, but I can't see us fighting him there; maybe fighting against the new Leader of the Twilight Flight or something, but not the Destroyer himself.

I simply made a statement that I've heard that the red dragonflight may have cornered him there and that is why he may be there. I was not implying that you said anything about the red dragonflight.
Well, as we Know he is coming up East of the Sea, south of Ironforge, and north of Stormwind, and when he emerges, he drags Deepholme the plane of Earth up with him.... I'd say he's not cornered in Grim Batol now is he?

From all of the information posted everywhere, we will most likely fight Deathwing at Grim Batol/Twilight Highlands. Grim Batol is for max level players whereas Deepholm is for 81-83. And if you look at the map that was posted at Blizzcon, there's a path Deathwing cut through the mountains to get to the Twilight Highlands.
Even if he is the strongest at Deepholm, why would he burst up out of Deepholm, fly to Grim Batol and then fly back? If he wants to destroy everything, I highly doubt he would go back and hide in his hole again.

82-84...
technically. But then again, Zangarmarsh was 70-75 and Serpent Shrine was there....

He sets up camp in Grim Batol and "continues his horrible experiments" after breaking out of Deepholme.. Stated at Blizzcon during the discussion panel. I'm pretty sure it's on the main Cataclysm site as well.
According to Blizzard, Grim Batol will be a new instance hub in the upcoming Cataclysm expansion. The hub, which resides in the Twilight Highlands northeast of the Wetlands, will contain one 5-man dungeon encounter as well as a raid.
Instances
* Level 85 Grim Batol (instance)
* Level 85 Grim Batol (raid) From the cata part of the Grim Batol page on wowwiki.
