I'd say they should as with infinite they can heal forever for around 10k in 1 instant spell.
Who needs MS when you do huge damage with 3 button plus have infinite amazing heals.

Paladins do go oom.
Melee shouldn't have an issue like that.
Ret doesn't have a 10k instant heal, you are thinking Enh shaman.
FoL crits for 3500-4k with exceptional gear, and with SS and SoL you get another 6k ish hp over then next, what, 12 seconds.
Casting FoL all the time kills a ret's mana pool. Bad RNG doesn't allow them to heal like crazy.
Cleansing constantly kills a ret's mana pool.
Judgements being absorbed kills a ret's mana pool.
Get a healer and some gear and stop QQ'ing.

Flash of Light Crit + Sheath of Light + Second Heal from Sacred Shield does come to 10k.
A ret might run out of mana if they countiually cast but it doesnt exactly take them long to get back to full mana. What does it take 3 or 4 judgments. Then they have divine plea going every minute.

I just got out healed by an 18k hp priest. He literally healed thru my dps, and you can check my armory. I'm not under geared, and I'm not under skilled. He trinketed HoJ and had a full minute of survival just because ret is "that powerful!"
QQ all you want, without survivability, ret doesn't have anything special about them.

Haha looks like blizzard agrees with me.
We don't think "Sure I can heal myself for 25,000+ health as a dps spec or 50,000+ health as a tank, but not very often," is balanced. Abilities can be unbalanced even if overall a character is not. This isn't a non-issue just because it doesn't affect Arenas. Also, it doesn't mean paladins are being singled out for one-vs-one duel balance (though I'm sure I'm going to be reading that for months to come).
If we gave warriors (especially Prot warriors) an ability to cause 50,000 damage in one hit with no preparation on a 90-minute cooldown, most reasonable players would call that a balance problem. The long cooldown doesn't save it. Beyond some point you can't balance a very powerful ability just by increasing the cooldown.
Paladins too defensive in PvP
I'll add it's also a problem where paladins as a whole are too defensive and not just the Protection spec ones. You see people describing fighting a Retribution paladin as a three phase boss fight. You might get them down, but then they can reset the fight with Lay on Hands. You get them down again and they bubble and heal. Compare this to an Arms warrior -- do they do great damage in PvP? Yes. Are they invulnerable? No. It's cool for paladins to care more about healing than do warriors, for I hope obvious reasons. However, if you are up against a Holy paladin, you should know that one of your greatest challenges should be dealing with their capacity to heal. If you are up against a Prot paladin, you should be concerned with their capacity to take hits. If you are up against a Ret paladin, you should be concerned with how much damage they should deal. You should not, generally, be nearly as concerend about the Prot's ability to self-heal or the Ret's ability to tank you.
I said this recently, but to reiterate, for most of the other hybrids, picking a role in a fight is much more of a commitment. Sure the Arms warrior can go Defensive Stance and put on a shield, but that doesn't turn them into a Prot warrior. Nobody is super concerned about Feral druids shifting out to heal. We had big problems with DKs earlier being able to tank and deal damage with the same set of tools, but that's in a better place now. Shaman maybe the only other class besides paladins that are able to shift on the fly from dps to healing, but with their mail armor and lack of major defensive cooldowns they just don't feel as hard to kill.
So its you nabs vs me and blizzard. Letme guess your probably all ret playersyourself.

Oh and
Infusion of Light: This talent now causes the paladin's Flash of Light spells to heal the target for 50/100% of the Flash of Light healing amount over 12 seconds
No more double heals for rets doing 6k dps with their 3 skills buttons. A small move in the right direction

GC didn't make any mention about running out of mana, so no, fail argument is still fail. Having said that, should we be nerfing Army of the Dead, just because it's a balance problem in 1v1 duels? GC is going to be hearing about single-ing paladins out for months
because he is
. Healing 50k and dishing out 50k are two completely separate things - note, dishing out 50k is significantly worse.
See my post in the Paladin forums if you seriously think that a Ret pally can faceroll you in 3 buttons. If they can, then stop BG'ing with quest greens, or stop complaining about their bubble/heal because they've used Avenging Wrath.
If a Ret paladin bubble/heals, they'll be on very low mana by the end of it. If you can't take advantage of that, then that's your loss.

I am currently leveling a priest and a shaman expecting this. When Cat comes out and pally's are back to being lolcrap again I will switch to my priest or shammy and fully expect the QQ's to begin on them. I suspect druids are next though. If you have a druid it won't be long before you become the favorite QQ class and start getting nerfed into the ground.
I know the feeling. I'm currently working on a Warrior as a 'swap' for my Prot/Ret paladin. I figure, if Pallys keep getting nerfed, then Warriors, by contrast, will pick up relatively. Oh, and a Frost Mage, just to hedge my bets.
