Can be found at general goods vendors. Right-clicking the paper will allow you to then left-click an item to wrap it, turning it into a Red Ribboned Gift that is labeled <Gift from >. Right-clicking will open the gift. Soulbound items and stackable items cannot be wrapped.

You cant buy it in Dalarn because mages dont need it! Even if you wrap your gift up, they know what it contains...

I find that the best use of wrapping paper is to wrap up the letters that various NPCs send you after you complete their quests, then give them to other players as gifts. Many recipients will accuse you of being various things that are lacking in intellectual ability, but I think that they're secretly grateful.

Does not work on Battle Pets. If you try to wrap them up, it will use the wrapping paper as if it worked, but the Battle Pet will stay the same.

You can, however, wrap up non-caged pets.

This was fixed, you can now successfully wrap caged battle pets up into a present. However, if you try to link a wrapped battle pet in chat, it'll link the pet instead of the wrapped present, unlike other wrapped items.

Bags cannot be wrapped up. Means you cannot give bags as gifts without the other party knowing about it.

This is kind of a shame with the new 26 slot bags.

It's been noted that you cannot wrap Unique items, but I wanted to add that you also can't wrap the Warlords Crafted items which are Unique-Equipped (3) .. how unfortunate.

Creates Red Ribboned Gift, with a tag that it was you who made it. These cannot be stored in a Guild bank or sold on the Auction House.

Can't wrap soulbound items, stackable items, unique items, unique-equipped items or for some arbitrary reason, bags.

You can however wrap battle pets, limited duration items such as Cask of Aged Dalaran Red and holiday items such as Lovely Charm Bracelet though. Sometimes this makes the item easier to store or mail, and the gift will still be removed as if it were the item, should its duration expire.

The other type of wrapping paper you can buy from most general goods vendors is Blue Ribboned Wrapping Paper, whereas Blue Ribboned Wrapping Paper, Purple Ribboned Wrapping Paper and Green Ribboned Wrapping Paper are only able to be purchased during The Feast of Winter Veil from Smokeywood Pastures goblin vendors in all major cities.

Wrapped items cannot be placed in a Guild Bank.

If you are having difficulty wrapping items, right click on the paper, hover over the item you want to wrap, wait a few seconds for the server to check it is eligible to wrap, then left click on the item to be wrapped.

This no longer works > Just tried wrapping all sorts of things (stackable, soulbound) none can be wrapped.
For clothing items message is received: "Bound items can't be wrapped".
