This dropped for the first time I ran Heroic Sethekk Halls.

I was doing the epic flight form quest and I was so excited when it dropped, however a mage got it (he never logs on anymore) and my quest was bugged so I didn't get credit for the kill. Turned out to be the most memorable useless instance run I've ever done :)

Fancy as it looks, this mount can give players a headache as characters bounce repeatedly up and down while riding it - even more so than the raptor mounts.

In patch 2.3, some pretty cool sound effects were added to this mount (previously, /mount special and landing impacts etc did not have sound effects on the raven lord).

I just won this in my 1st heroic sethekk halls run... i won the fishing tournament that morning so i dident have any joy left to yell so all i cound do is shake... its awsome, it makes a schreeching noice wen u press spacebar.. its so cool, if i could pick any other rare mount id still keep this. exept maybe that rare mount from AQ from a long time ago.... well its totaly worth running over and over if ur that determend, just make sure there's no ninja's in ur party

no.... you just need friends or guild members to go with you... everyone pass and then roll is what we did and that way no one could ninja it, someone could of greeded or needed but we had honor...... and also the sounds Kolenzo was talking about are awsome.. when you mount up it sounds like a mechanostrider and when you press spacebar or type /mountspecial he makes this loud schreeching noice, also this mount is 2 times bigger than a normal one.. this might be becuase im a gnome and gnomes have bigger mounts than normal but if u /kiss mojo the frog while on this mound you will be 4 times bigger.. and if you drink Winterfall Firewater you will be 6 times bigger! here is the link to the water http://www.wowhead.com/?item=12820 and this one for mojo http://www.wowhead.com/?item=33993

Hmm, dosen't it kinda strike you as funny that of the 11 pictures, there is onyl one druid with the mount? The guy that had to go through all the trouble getting the item to summon Anzu didn't even get it most of the time....

there is only 2 on alliance side of my server (me and a female gnome) and a tauren male on horde side that has it.. its pretty rare but not the rarest mount in game

The possible drop for the mount isent common... the only reason its on the front row is because this boss dosent drop any trash items, the drop rate is 0.8% or 23 out of 2860 if it hasent changed lately - Golgothaa of Anentheron, one lucky gnome who got the mount.

EDIT: this mount looks exacly like Anzu the Raven Lord himself

This mount dropped for my group today on Mal'Ganis! Unfortunately I was not lucky enough on the rolls to win it. I had offered everyone 450g each to pass on it and not a single person wanted to pass. I don't blame them! This mount is truly amazing.

Got this baby today, first time I saw it drop, so I got quite happy :). Always wanted it. First time I attempted to get this mount since the patch and it dropped. Might be a buffed droprate, or we were just lucky, I'm not sure. Can anyone confirm a higher droprate, or is it as it was before 3.0?

Swift Flight form is trainable at level 71 according to WoW 3.0.3 PTR patch notes.

Does this mean that the Swift Flight Form quest chain for druids will make it so no new druids will be able to summon Anzu, and only the veteran druids who have done the chain will be able to summon him?

My advice if you're going to try and solo this as a feral druid.

Kill Talon King first. If you die against Anzu you can always run into Ilkiss's room, and be right there at the fight. :)

I've been farming this mount for a long long time now, even since somewhere season 2 (TBC). I've done 69 runs so far, and I still really want this mount. Offering about 1000g to each party member works, atleast it did in TBC, no need to offer 3000g, you are just wasting your money. Since I'm a priest I can't summon it, but luckely I have a druid alt, so what I do to summon him is: right infront of the boss I give leadership of the party to someone else, alt+F4 and log on my druid. He gets invited and I walk to the boss, summon him, alt+F4 again and log on my priest. When I log in, the boss is just summoned and we kill him.

If you are farming this mount on lvl 80 and planning on farming this with 2 people and planning to roll, good luck, you need to be insanely lucky to get it that way. I've always made sure if it would drop I would get it.... but I haven't had much luck, never seen it drop.

I hate those people that do 1 run and get it. If you are one of them, please know how lucky you are, and use that mount 100% . Don't even dare riding on that silly tiger or kodo, use the Raven Lord, since it's the coolest mount in WoW (it just is...) ! :P

By the way, don't think this is *lolezmode lvl 70*, for some classes it might, but those guards located in 6 diffrent places in the instance still hit pretty hard.

My fiance and I are on our 46th run as of later today. Since we ran it pre-BC quite a few times, I lost track.. more than likely we are between our 46th-55th run, maybe more, but likely not. Not once have we seen it. None of my Guildies have it, nor friends. Now he and I multi-box it with my Druid who can summon Anzu, as we're 80. He knows how badly I want it, and is going to pass the Reins to me. :D

As drop rates can't be trusted, it's hard to keep faith not knowing how much chance we really have. But we keep running it daily, and are not going to miss another unless we utterly have to. After all, it's only once a day. Two bad it's not 5 times daily, lol. >.<

I'm wondering how many of you who got it, when did you get it... During BC, during Lich? Approximately how many runs did it take you? I'm curious! And how many others have it on your server? For us, I've seen 8 so far.

With all the reading and whatnot that I've done, I do believe it is a 1% drop-rate.

For those of you still farming it, may luck be with us. That's all it really is based on after all; and if you keep running it nearly every day, you will eventually get it. I will keep you all posted, I hope those of you who're after it do the same!

Update: Run 57 Done, no Anzu love yet! :(

Sup Sup..This mount still drops in WOTLK. I know cause i got it. You as all know need a druid to summon boss but anyone can roll on it when it drops. As a lvl 80 druid in full T7.5 gear i could solo boss quite easy. It's a low drop rate but dropped for me on only the second farming attempt. Im also soloing the ZG boss for tiger mount but this by far beats it in how cool it looks. Everyday people ask where did i get it. Anyways, what i did is stealth to boss, clear room then summon boss. Easy as can be. Good luck all. Love my mount and hope you all can enjoy the same.

Me and a guildie decided that we would run through all the mount instances and just farm the mounts, we picked which ones we wanted so it would be fair ( not decided by a roll ). the 2nd time we ran through SH the mount dropped, he passed, and i won :). the next day we went to MgT and the hawkstrider dropped, i passed, and he won :P gl to everyone trying to get this mount. It's really awesome

I've been farming Anzu for 55 runs before the expansion, and have logged at least as many runs as days in 2009, at this time. I'm at 93 runs at this time.

Just in case you may not know your chances of it dropping, with sequential runs, you can look at how many times it has 'not dropped' and your chances of it not dropping to get an idea of how lucky you might be.

Coin Flip experiment: 50/50 for Tails or Heads, but to get it to land on Tails 3 times in a row, you have to multiply that chance by itself 3 times. 0.50^3. That's the same situation as having run Anzu and have it not drop 93 times in a row. 0.99^93 ~= 40% chance. At least with every run I make, I have better than 50/50 now... I'm looking forward to run #300, when I'll have 95% chance of it dropping.

I solo this instance regularly as feral without any issues. I'm not sure how many times I've killed this guy but it hasn't dropped yet.

Sometimes I bring a mage friend in to speed things up a bit. When I have him with me we kill:
ZG Tiger Boss, ZG Raptor Boss, Attumen the Huntsman in Kara, and Anzu in less than an hour.

The Raptor mount dropped a couple weeks ago for us.

Thought I'd mention, for other Death Knights or similar classes soloing this instance, that there are several mobs you can skip, thought I'd post a small quick-guide below:

1. The first two guards can be skipped if you run straight ahead once the instance loads, but might as well get them, anyway. Then take the Initiate+Owl and the two guards in front of the first big room.

2. Here you can, at level 80 sneak past all the big groups, going over to the left and pulling the two guards at the door in to the next hallway with you. (watch for that owl flying around)

3. In the next big room you can also skip groups by first going to the middle of the bonfire once the owl has passed, then running straight forward and pull the two guards into the next hallway, kill them and the owl that comes.

4. Kill the two guards in front of the boss room, then sneak past the boss by hugging the left wall. (or kill him if you feel like some blue vendor loot and a badge of justice, he can be hard as a death knight however, as the elementals he summons are immune to diseases)

5. Kill the two guards in the hallway after the first boss, hug the right wall and kill all the small birds, then after the big blue wind serpent goes back to the beginning of the room, sneak in between the two groups in front of you by waiting for the left patrolling birdman to go back to his group, going forward to the stair, then waiting for the right birdman to go back to his group then sneaking around and up the stairs.
The big blue wind serpent patrolling the stairs can be avoided if you wait for him to go to the end of the room, but might as well kill him, then kill the two guards up there.

6. Kill the pack of small birds inside the next room, then wait for the patrolling birdman to go left, and sneak onto the ledge with small birds to the right. Kill them and sneak straight forward to the two guards. Kill them, and the big blue wind serpent that will probably come.

7. You can, with some very good sneaking skills kill only one pack in the Anzu room if you're just after the last boss, but ofc if you're doing Anzu you might as well clear the room. If you wanna do just one pack, basically just pull the wind serpent once he's in the middle, then go to the middle yourself and pull the pack on the upper right, get them into the wall and behind some crates to avoid fear (or just nuke down the prophet first) then sneak into the final boss room.

8. This final pack before the final boss can be very hard, but it's just very important that you kill the prophet first to avoid fear, then quickly move away to avoid the blue ghost he spawns, which hits hard, you can move between the two corners to the left and right inside the entrance to the final boss room.

9. Now you can can kill the final boss, who is really easy if you just dodge the arcane explosion by going behind a pillar or using Anti-Magic Shell as a death knight. Now you can go out the back door, and if you're coming back in with a druid alt or friend to summon the boss, kill the three mobs that are in the middle of the first big room, then go to the entrance and relog.

10. (Optional) If you're logging on your druid alt, make sure to invite someone to group, make them leader, and have them invite your druid. Then just run in and everything should be cleared. Stealth forward past the first room, run up to Anzu's place and place the moonstone you need to summon on the pedestal, right after you place the orb, quickly relog, go back to your main and run in, you should be able to reach the room even before he is summoned, so you can pick him up right away, although it doesn't really matter as he won't despawn either.

It still drops!
In fact, it dropped 20 minutes ago! I begged 3 of my friends for a month now to come with me to Anzu, I acquired the Heroic Mode key. They're lvl 80s, I'm a lvl 70 so it was very fast.

First try...
The tank was the Master Looter, he approached Anzu's corpse...
Darkhold ( Tank ) : No way
Darkhold: Synachriss ( me ) you lucky bas*****!
Liliben ( druid/healer ) : First run and it dropps... Gz
Maslac ( Lock/DPS ) : Unbelievable...

3) Keep Demo Roar and FFF up, tank-and-spank until add phase (he will /yell). Save Barkskin for Paralyzing Screech (6s stun).

If you have specced into Primal Tenacity that reduces stun damage by 30%, im pretty sure this does not stack with barkskin; so i save my barkskin for if he gets a bleed on me.

Asked a druid friend of mine to do Raven-runs with me, we agreed we would both need if it drops.
So, after 2 runs it dropped, yes I know, damn lucky. we both needed and I got it. :)

I run Setthek every day since December and no cute mount :( but I run it in a particular way : I clear the instance with my DK then group someone, disconnect my DK, connect my druid (grouped by my friend), my druid summons Anzu then disconnect my druid and finally connect my DK (to kill Anzu).

But after one hundred of runs (and perhaps as much during BC /cry), I am asking : does it drop when there is no druid at the time of the kill? :x

(I am really sick of Setthek but I keep dreaming ^^).

Alright ive been doing this about 25 times since WOTLK came out, not to include about 20+ times in BC. I still have yet to see this mount drop, just the other day a pally goes in there and on his 2nd time ever in Sethekk halls the mount drops, Whats the average time it will take to get this? like it has 1% drop rate but that doesnt mean if you run in 99times its gonna drop the next day, it still has a 1%drop rate, not 100%drop rate on 100th day.

AnzuSeeker I have to say you inspired my girlfriend and I to keep at doing (H) Sethekk every day possible. After litterally months of tries on my prot warrior pre-Wotlk and then i'd say about 2 solid months on my prot DK, the Raven Lord mount dropped. My girlfriend was kind enough to pass for Anzu as I passed for her ZG tiger, and its pretty rare to see the Raven Lord on a DK where normally you see druids on it. So don't give up! Never lose hope! Keep focused and it will drop for you when your time comes. Best of luck Anzu hunters of the World of Warcraft!

PS this mount dropped the day of patch 3.1 being implemented so it is still currently obtainable in-game.

Been farming this ever since I got the ability to summon, still never seen it drop. :( Probably up to 40-50 runs by now. Getting a little disheartened, but I'm going to keep trying. I've loved this mount ever since I saw it and I want it more than anything in the game (except maybe Ashes of A'lar, haha).

I heard from a friend (who ran Stratholme like 200 times before finally getting his mount) that if you're in a group of 5 people, your chances of drop rate are increased. Is that true, or is it better to just solo or 2-man (if you can't solo it)?

I'm on run 93 as of this evening, so I know the frustration all too well!

The chance of a drop rate is not increased with a group of 5 as far as all the information I've gathered, and I've read tons of information on drop rates and whatnot. The loot table is created when the first person zones into the instance. So if you're solo'ing it, it's based on your RNG. You can 2-man it, or solo. I'm lucky in the fact that my Fiance and I run it together and he has no issues with passing the mount to me; he wants the ZG Raptor and HMGT Hawkstrider, which are his when they drop.

Trust me, there isn't any way to increase the chances of a drop rate; all you can do is keep trying. It's an easy run, but a disappointment every time Anzu is down and there isn't any Reins to show for it; anyone who has it will tell you it's far worth the time and effort.

Don't give up, you won't like the results. Giving up = never having the Reins.
That in itself keeps me motivated. :)

Since noone has mentioned this, this mount can't jump out of water.

This means that if you're a deathknight (like me) who happens to get a hold of one of these lovely birds and you forget to cast path of frost before entering the water, you must dismount manually now, cast path of frost, jump up on top of the water and then remount... Minor inconvenience, but there you have it.

Also, is it just me, or is it incredibly ironic that a mount that drops from a boss who flies around the room the whole encounter that is only summonable as part of a quest involving epic flying... is a land only mount? Seriously, this thing has (admittedly, small) wings, I'd love to see it flying :(

I'm normally dual-specced resto/moonkin. So after reading about the hot-the-statue-until-anzu-is-close-to-death-and-then-starfire method, I tried it out. It worked, and the mount didn't drop. I tried that method twice and decided that it simply took too long. I also wasn't crazy about using what is obviously an exploit, so I decided to dedicate my 2nd spec to feral specifically to farm the mount.

My feral set consists of mostly 200 level gear, with a few 213's thrown in here and there. The fight was as easy as many here have described.

I approached the farming almost like a daily. I'd do my Argent Tournament dailys, hearth to Crusader Point, then fly to Dalaran and take the portal to Shat. Once in Shat, I'd fly to the instance, buff with MotW and thorns, then stealth to the end boss.

I killed Ikiss each time because I wanted to have a counter for the total number of kills...also, getting saved to the instance was nice, and vendoring the loot from the run actually made it that much more like a daily, since I was getting paid. :)

I'd clear all trash in Anzu's room, and even the big pull right before Ikiss. (Made things much easier, since I could kite all trash into Ikiss' room and not have to worry about fears from the prophets.)

Once the room was cleared I'd summon and kill Anzu. The whole process was usually done before my hearthstone was off cooldown (~25 min) That was my routine and two days ago the reins dropped. Total attempts (according to statistics): 21. I realize that I am very fortunate.

Nevertheless, I would not have started farming the mount if I was not ok with potentially hundreds of runs without a drop. You can't go into it expecting to be lucky. Expect the worst, accept it as a possibility. Think of it no more than a daily. When the mount drops (and in all probability, it will - 86.6% chance you will see it in 200 runs or less), it will be a very welcome surprise, and you will be very happy. :P

Oh, and as a side note...if you have a caster set, be sure to put thorns on while wearing the caster set, then switch to your feral set. By doing that, your thorns will hit for around 200, which is really nice for the bird adds.

Finally got this back on 4-26 (unsure as to how many attempts it's been, seeing as how I didn't get all my boss kills credited to me when achievements rolled out) :)

I've been 2-manning it with the co-GM of my guild (also a druid) for the past 2-3 months almost every single day, and this was the first time either one of us had ever seen it drop. Stoked beyond belief when I won it! He and I still run it almost everyday...gotta get him his own now :D

For those that have never seen it drop, like everyone on here has said already, don't lose faith.....it will drop :) Best of luck to you all :)

Blizard just gave me a present today. I got this mount today after 23 runs. Not a hard fight just the time and commitment of every day running this instance for the drop. I feel extremely lucky that it dropped so soon for me. Good luck to those of you still farming.

I was luckyish. Got this on my 37th run. I was farming this every day with a friend I had FORCED to make a druid solely for this mount. (and paid completely for.)

After the first month, my friend started getting @#$%ed about it. so it spaned over 2-3 months running every couple of days. This finally dropped after a break from farming it. on 05/20/09. I was screaming OH MY GOD so loud my mother actually came into the room and asked what happened. LOL.

Dont give up hope guys. as of 3.1.2. it still drops, and it drops when you LEAST think it will...!

Well, after running this and keeping track of my runs, I got this item exactly on my 100th run. Guess that shows how accurate that 1% drop rate is ... (if only statistics were that forgiving ...).

So in 3.1 it still drops, and it appears that while fighting the packs around Anzu is even easier to solo now with savage defense. Don't even need to LoS during his banish to heal myself. So more than soloable, I'd say EASILY soloable.

Good luck to all fellow players trying to get this mount, long and tedious, yes but it's definitely worth it.

Wanted to say "Grats!" to everyone who's gotten the Reins and "Good Luck!" to those of us who haven't as of yet. ^^

For a long time I've done plenty of reading up on Anzu farming as well as keeping up with the different data sites and forums. While I'm pretty sure there are a lot of people out there who haven't posted a thing while farming or even when they got their Reins, there's enough data to prove that this grind shouldn't technically take 200 runs. I've seen the math done and the reasoning that yes, all loot is random. This is a 1% drop rate however, so 200 runs seems quite unlikely. As I stated I've covered a lot of data, and anyone who has gotten the Reins didn't get close to that many runs.

So for those of you who are in the 80+ range now, keep the faith! 107 runs completed for my fiance and I, 108 tonight. They will be mine soon! This grind is well worth the payoff. It does need to be treated like a daily and eventually, the Reins will be yours too. :)

I was interested in something - can u can enter the instance with a druid, then druid goes stealth and kill Anzu and with master looter on druid looting and giving Raven Lord mount to you (who will be waiting at the start of instance)?

This is a rare drop off of Anzu, a special boss that can only be summoned if a druid that has completed or is on the second last step of the Swift Flight Form chain is in the group.

As an 80 druid, Anzu is fairly easy to kill. He will go immune and summon adds which need to be killed every once in a while. You should be able to bring him down without him going immune more than twice.

The only difficult part about this is the trash that needs to be cleared. The Talon Lords will stun you and the Prophets will fear you. Just make sure you you pre-hot, preferably in resto gear for the increased heals, and then burn down the Talon Lords and Prophets first and make sure you stay far away from other packs.

Weird, I went in today like i have 29 other times, but when i got to the part to summon him the little alter that you have to click wasn't there. I went out, reset the instance, went back in... same thing. Hope this is just a temporary bug on my part. I always worry that they will get rid of the best looking mount in the game before i can get it.

So, I've had my 103rd run yesterday no mount....
the most intruiggiung thig is that I've been to mgt hc 12 times and I've seen the mount drop 4 times, including my 12th time yday when i soloed it now i have an extra mount in my inventory.
this game is just taking the p... about that raven mount, same thing goes for the start mount which i had done 153 time.......
i really hope my mount drops soon seriously....

I just created an account with Wowhead to let everyone know that on the 5th of July 2009 this mount dropped for me.

It was the 99th kill for me, so I can truly say to all those with high kill counts, keep at it. It bugs me when people kill Anzu and it drops for them after 8 or 9 tries, well I'm happy for you, yet that's not really a true farm.

My wife and I have been farming the Raptor mount for 9 months about 6 times a week (multiple characters). No luck. My wife's druid hit 70 about 3 weeks ago and we started our grinding for the Raven Lord mount. It dropped after about 3 weeks of grinding (about 23 attempts). I won it on my pally. We took the next night off and then went back and it drops again and now have it on my warrior too. Am i extremely lucky or have they up the drop rate? I am not giving up on Raptor.

My warrior and pally are on separate accounts so i can use them both at the same time. Makes it nice for farming rare stuff.

I ran this 27 times before it finally dropped for me.

It's easy enough as Feral. I kill the 1st boss, Berserk pull the 1st two trash pulls, kill the 3rd and the stray reptile thingy, and Berserk pull the 4th and 5th pulls. Anzu is very easy. I like to Rejuvenate the 2 damage helping birds. The fire one helps burn down Anzu's adds REAL fast.

This mount isn't as amazing for me as it is for others considering I have a Grand Ice Mammoth, a Traveler's Tundra Mammoth, and Swift Zulian Tiger too =D

This just dropped for me on my very first Anzu kill. Very easy to solo as 80 feral druid with decent tanking tanking gear.

I didn't post this just to rub it in that i got it on my very first try, but all my guildmates are offline just now, and I needed to woo hoo! somewhere. lol

I got this awesome mount today, after 17 runs.I guess I'm Pretty lucky because there is people's at my server who has farming it for month's.

And btw I think they buffed Anzu's "Spell Bomb Curse" because when I farmed this mount with a druid ofc and with druid buff, his bomb hit'd me for 4000. I cant remember it took that much in tbc, rather ~2000. Anzu cast it when he banish himself, he can also cast it random. But as long I can remember while I and the druid farmed the mount, he never casted the spell on the druid ;P only at me(im mage) so i guess casters have to watch out for it ^^.

You know how most of the posts are telling you "Keep farming, don't give up!" well up until today I thought it was a load of bull. I was ready to give up. After a solid 54 tries (54 solo that is, about 20-30 runs with a friend before i realized I could solo it!) and almost a FULL post-it note of checkmarks to keep track of my attempts, I did my daily run as usual and when I looted Anzu only a gem and his blue leather belt popped up in the loot boxes.

... but then, about a full second AFTER they popped up, the REINS OF THE RAVEN LORD POPPED UP! I nearly &*!@ed myself silly. I was so close to just giving up after all these runs, but then when I had the most doubt, my luck turned right around.

So next time you guys read "keep farming, it will drop" and think it will never drop for YOU, just think again. - Totally worth all the runs.

Me and a guildie friend 2man this everyday, twice a day before the dungeon reset at 12 ST. I am a Resto/Balance and my friend is a Destro Warlock. We are both high quality 10/25 Naxx geared. And for us, this is easy no wipes at all unless a bad fear, or CC pull goes badly wrong. Throughout the whole instance up until Anzu, I am balance and offhealing my friend who is an aggro magent. For pulls with 3 or more mobs, I root one mob and cyclone the other for easy kills. When we do get to Anzu, the strategy changes...

I go resto for the fight and HoT up my friend real good b/c of the stuns and screeches. She tanks the boss herself with her imp out. When the adds come out, she just AoEs them until dead. Rinse and repeat until Anzu is dead. Note: I dont use the statue spirit system thing because i dont have time to with my friend taking all the hits.

Hasnt dropped for us yet, but she says I get the mount if it drops because she knows how much i really want this mount. We will continue to farm and farm until the mount drops, hopefully it will be soon.

I'm up to about 40 kills on Anzu so far, and still no mount. Unless you're extremely lucky, expect to be killing him every day for at least a couple of months.

On average, with the 0.8% droprate, it should drop about once every 4 months if you kill him every day. Now that's a pain to find out, but it also means you will have a really rare mount if you eventually get it. You certainly don't see many people running around with it.

Been pretty bummed and discouraged about this mount. I've wanted it badly ever since I first saw it early on in TBC. It's simply amazing imo.

I started running Sethekk Halls with a buddy and we agreed to help eachother until *both* of us had it. Well, we ran it roughly 20-30 times and when it dropped he won the roll. He quit WoW shortly thereafter.

I've been running it daily, rarely ever missing a day since. Currently I'm up to 83 solo runs. My old partner never wanted to kill Ikiss. We ran it, killed Anzu and hearthed out. Since I've been soloing it, I always kill Ikiss for profit and the shortcut. It's also a good way of tracking your # of your runs.

The most disappointing part is that we all have parts/aspects of this game we love. I've always been a bit of a collector, so I'm a mount/pet hound. This mount has been a super want for me for a long time, and also greatly helps out my quest towards Mountain o' Mounts Achievement. It's hard to keep your head up when all you see day in and day out is "Boots of Righteous Fortitude." Daily disappointment is not something that makes a person want to continue on with the game. /End QQ

Hopefully I'll get mine soon. One would think it has to drop *eventually* but who knows if you're that one person who will never get it in 1k runs. And to anyone else out there that's feeling the same way I am after many runs, hang in there because I know how you feel. As for me, I really hope the day comes that I can come back here and post my newest and greatest pride & joy item. Who knows? Time will tell...

After first letting my eyes on this mount I have always wanted it, its very characteristic and special, and being a druid myself made it easier to get. A mate of mine paid me a certain amount of gold for every run and another number of gold when it would drop. After it did drop for him (maybe 20 runs or so) I decided that now was the time to farm it.
Play feral in pvp and so was able to solo it every day in my pvp gear and pvp spec. Stealthed in, cleared the whole room where you summon Anzu and simply killed him, also killed the last boss every time I was there since it gave some extra, and very welcome gold.
Was very lucky and got it after maybe 10 kills, meaning nothing else then it might take you 10 kills to get it, or it might take over 200. The more you grind it the more it will be worth for you in the end.

btw, love how its head bobs when he runs, and the wing movements when you fall.
and yea it still drops, the RNG might just hate you :/

Very difficult to solo as a Balance Druid. I am in Full Tier 8.5 / Ulduar Hmode gear and would consider myself a pretty decent player having attained my Rusted/Ironbound drakes and etc.

However this encounter is still very difficult to solo, I wiped for quite some time and was not able to get it down. The curse is just a huge pain to a caster and even if it's decursed quickly you will just be getting demolished with Melee hits/other abilities he will do. Not to mention being pounded on during the stun and having a ton of knockback! Having a solo spec with Owlkin Frenzy might help quite a bit.

I would suggest bringing a friend and hoping to win the roll or agreeing for him to pass. I can however recommend soloing the first and final boss to open up the door at the beginning of instance that way your friend who can't stealth can just help you clear a few trash mobs and Anzu's room rather than spending 10 extra minutes on trash.

Can stealth through the whole thing but first boss will see through it, pre-hot yourself and pull him making sure to put treants out first for initial aggro. I take aggro pretty quick but he is usually already less than %60 HP, from there just focus the boss, use starfall + trinkets you have and re-hot yourself if needed, popping barkskin when adds come out.

Final boss is pretty simple, just dot him and dps, move to a beam when he casts his main ability (he will stop running/attacking) and go back at it.

Anzu himself I don't think is easily soloably at all, I am going to keep trying a few times and will hopefully get a video if I pull it off!

Up to 32 runs now and haven't gotten the mount yet but good luck to those trying!

Ever since I first saw someone on this mount, it became my mission to get it. Overtime it became less of a priority and I kinda gave up, didn't even bother reaching honored with Lower City.

Then this morning my friend told me she had got it, it was her third run. I got a huge urge to go try my chances, so I collected some feathers, bought the key and attempted to solo. No such luck, kept dying... Then a friend comes along to help me. We kill him in no time and the mount dropped. My first ever run to Sethekk Halls Heroic... I was more than prepared to run it like, 100 times? Was in a state of shock when purple popped up. I hope you all get the same luck I did o.0 I personally think this mount is worth the effort if you end up more unlucky.

Took me over 280 runs (yes 280, I went to Sethekks every day since december 2008) but finally it dropped and I ran all over my house screaming how joyful I was =D

I don't know if it is important but for the first time I managed to kill Anzu before the second wave of birds (he casted stunning spell while at ~40% and I was under Hysteria and DRW so :P) and the mount dropped :D

So beautiful I can't stop running in dalaran ^^.

Ran this with 3 guildies (one came along for a boost) i said if it dropped the other 2 80's could roll and it dropped first time. I won it seems karma exists as i feel the druid summoning should get first dibs on the item. :D.

Oh and the guy getting the boost on an alt tried to roll on it aswell after i made it explicitly clear he would not have that privilidge if it dropped. I have a word for people like that but it isnt allowed here :P

Took about 50-55 runs for me to get it. Solo'd it everyday as a feral tank. at first it was a bit tough to do, but ever since they introduced the new bear ability (you absorb a certain amount of damage everytime your crit) it has been a breeze.

It's all worth it, riding around in freya's room on your tropical bird =D

Surprised to say I have just gotten this mount after just 2 days of farming it. I've done the pre quest at 80 ( didnt have epic flight nor 5kg at 70 because i was lazy..) at 11/12/09 got the achievment for 'Epic Flight Form' I did the heroic that day for a chance at it but no luck, next day (today) i went in there cleared the room, killed Anzu, saw he had the mount, and got the achievment for having the Anzu mount on 11/13/09. Im not sure if the drop rate was increased or i was just amazing lucky..but i was happy non the less lol.

My boyfriend and I ran Sethekk/ZG together with his druid and my shaman until I got a raptor and he got the raven lord; then we did Terokkar Turkey Time with his druid and my priest and it dropped again! Now we have twin Anzus. Crazy that it took him hundreds of runs and my priest gets it her first go. This really shows the RNG.

Got on my second attempt, yesterday. Really lucky. =D

The mobs around the room hit much harder the the boss. Clear the room and do the job.

Prowl through the dungeon and kill these mobs in the room before the last boss. Call Anzu using the orb on the object in the middle.

Anzu was easily soloable with furious set and pvp feral spec, even didn't need to use much CDs, except Berserk that helped to end the fight faster. I believe with deadly set it wouldn't be much worse.

I envy you all. However.. Assuming they don't take it out.. I will continue to farm this and keep you posted on what day I actually do get it.

I've always wanted Anzu on my Rogue so a while ago I leveled a Druid on another account to 80, geared her a bit from heroics and specced her Feral bear - only for the purpose of solo running Anzu every day I can. For some reason mounts doesn't like me, I've farmed the ZG tiger for so long without a drop, but now that I have the Druid I'm only gonna do Anzu because thats the one mount I REALLY care about.

Still no drop. Like many others I have a feeling RNG hate me! So much work put into this, I really hope I get it.

well i cant say anything than gratz to all of you who got this nice mount and keep trying i know i will, going for my 350 run today so a kind of anniversary lol and yeah darn have i cursed ppl with it hearing they got it on 1-15th run but thats RNG for ya. I got a good example of rng i was running the barons mount b4 they buffed the droprate to 1-100 and had around 500 runs and 250 runs after buff and still didnt get it.
Then due to boredom and friends changing server i started a new char on a new server and in a way gave up on my recent farm on old char, then a day where my gf wanted the dancing piccolo trink thingy we we went in there just for that , hearthsinger didnt drop it on first try so we went out and reset without taking the baron, piccolo thingy drops on 2nd run and she says "why not go for barons mount for ya since we are here " and padaw 1st try ever on that server and with that char i got the mount darn RNG, as a note my gf did pass on it knowing how much ive farmed for it and well i help her farm engi recipes etc she wants badly so fair and square id say. So keep on farming and the raven will eventually be urs (i hope)

It dropped last night in 3.3. It took me roughly between 80 - 90 runs. I started tracking Ikiss kills and was up to 71 when it dropped. I had about a dozen or so runs before I started tracking the kills, and add in those moments I was heartbroken it didn't drop and just hearthed out.

Not sure if this will help, but both times Anzu summoned the birds we killed them before Anzu unbanished. I believe someone else mentioned that as well. It's probably just a quirk, but it can't hurt to try! Also, you don't have to kill Ikiss first, we never did. After killing Anzu we just stealthed through the last mobs to kill Ikiss to keep track, but it opens the back door to reach Anzu quicker in case you wipe.

Mine just dropped yesterday :D Took some major pew pew, and lots of QQ
I'm a feral tank with around 35k unbuffed. I have mostly 232 and 245s, but they are mostly ungemmed as of now. (Just got them.)

It took me around 53-ish runs, and I felt like yesterday was the day. Clearing out the room was the hardest part (if difficult).
Kill the first boss there to save you to the instance in case you die.

After that just sneak up to the summoning room and take out the mobs group by group. TAKE YOUR TIME. The prophets DO fear which can cause you to run and pull other groups. It will be okay to pull one or two other groups but the constant fears and stuns and curses and Wing Buffets can kill you even with all your cooldowns on. The Shadowmages (I think) are the ones who turn into a little ghost and do some damage when they die. Don't fret, they don't do much damage and can't be targeted. They disappear after a few seconds. Then, place your orby thing and back up to a wall so you don't aggro him early. Wait for the bird spirits to go to stone, start casting regrowth on the Eagle. Once it's done cast it on yourself, then shift to bear and demo RAWR. Pew pew him until he start casting the paralyzing screech (or whatever it's called) before it completes he stops attacking, so recast a HoT on the eagle. Or the hawk if you are taking some hefty damage (it's fine if you are, you'll have time to heal yourself later on.). I made a macro to give me a better chance to not get stunned before I can shift back to bear. Pew pew him and keep a demo roar up, and maybe some barkskins here and there. Around 66% he shifts out and summons the Brood of Anzu adds, throw rejuvenation and regrowth on you and a regrowth on the eagle and and shift to bear and spam swipe. Maul, if you have the glyph for it to hit 2 targets. If you don't take them out in an X amount of seconds, Anzu rephases and starts attacking again. No problem, just a little higher damage to you. He summons more adds at 33%. So what? Screw them. PEW PEW.

He does sometimes cast spell bomb which is no problem if you are tank specced, 1k damage in a ding on armor. But, it is de-cursable, so if you need to, do so. Eventually he drops dead. Cross your fingers and loot. Yesterday he dropped a green and a blue instead of the usual epic and blue. I had a suspicion, so I pressed next on the little arrow. IT WAS THERE.

Well.... Four days after completing my druid quest during raid downtime I managed to snag this beauty.... Makes me feel bad for people like that guy w/ 350+ attempts in a previous post, or even my brother who had to try 96 days to get his... At least now we run around as two tauren druids on the ravenlord - pretty sweet lookin duo if ya ask me! Its nice riding a bird thats bigger than most of the mammoths I see around Dalaran!

I got it a few days ago. Am Resto, Boomkin but have gotten a few greed rolls for 219 and 232 feral tank gear. A few months ago I tried a few times with pretty bad gear - stealth to the room and then clear it. That was hard and usually didn't go well in one go without at least one death. Anyway, I went in this one time last week with this better gear and ~ 28k Health self buffed in bear form, a handful of health pots and a curiosity to see if I could clear the room and the boss with no death.

Well, the room was still a pain. Luckily I had read that Beserk clears fear (feral noob) and I used that whenever they feared me. And I did a much better job clearing the room making sure I only am fighting one group of 3-5 at a time.

I cleared the room and then slowly downed the boss. Looting the boss I got the mount. I was quite pleased. I can't see how many times I killed Anzu on the armory but I killed the boss before Anzu twice. I think that means I killed Anzu twice.

Of course I got Baron Rivendare Death Charger on the 4th kill. That boss you can see in your Armory.

Maybe I am just lucky getting mount drops.

I feel bad for people that have farmed these bosses > 100 times.

The originally animated creature was the plainstrider. Those animations were used as a starting point for raptors and were modified slightly. Anzu was not actually animated uniquely and shares animations with either the plainstrider or the raptor though I'm not sure which since he was done after I left Blizzard.

Yes you can and you have to if you want to get the Moonstone to summon.

However, you do need the key for heroic Sethekk, which means you might have to quest a bit more or grind the normal version of the instances to get revered.

Hello, I've been killing Anzu since last christmas on a daily basis and still I havent seen a mount drop. Am I doing something wrong or Im just really unlucky?

So I basically go inside ungrouped, stealth to his room -> kill all trash (Is it necessary to kill all the trash btw?) -> summon him and kill him -> no profit.

Got it today after almost daily runs since mid-December (approx. 70 runs). Bear-spec with cat gear kills him quickly with a full heath bar when he dies.

Mine dropped today. I'd estimate that I've done around 75 runs total since BC but only started keeping count recently. So after my 37th kill, it dropped. What's funny is that a guild mate who had farmed Anzu in resto for months had given up on it awhile ago up but decided to go in and kill him after I linked my achievement. Anzu dropped for him. Every druid in guild went nuts and decided to go into Sethekk to see if the luck would carry over. No one else got the mount to drop but 2 mounts in 1 day for the same guild is still pretty amazing.

Grats to myself and Kookie of <Dread> on Korgath. My continued wishes for all those who are farming this mount. Hopefully it will drop for you soon!

Also dropped for me first run =D

Ran it with a guildie that collects mounts. Told him I would duo it with him every day until he got it, but that he'd have to wait til I was 80 to make it easier, I just wanted to finish it at 70 for achievement and early SFF.

So we get there and struggle for about an hour (he's an ele shammy and was getting smacked around a bit, and my feral specced heals werent really amounting to much) and finally get to Anzu's room and clear it. I go down when Anzu has about 20% left, but my buddy is still able to finish him off (with my cheering, of course).

And the nice guy that he is, he rezzes me and doesn't even loot to see if it drops. Sure enough, when I looted, there it was. I pass on both, and he rolls a 100 on the mount. I figure it was good karma for helping me finish the questline, and getting me back up on my feet before looting the prize.

The day of patch 3.3.3, after about my 15th run it dropped.

I would also like to add that as i was farming this item and duel boxing, i found it quicker to stealth through my druid, kill Ikiss then run my warrior up the side door.

Also note i did not read this in the previous comments, but i may have missed it - you are not required to kill all the packs in anzu's room, just the pack on the left (as if you were entering the room on a normal run) and then the two packs on the back right hand side.

To make the summoning process easier, I would clear the summoning room. Kill the Talon King as well, as this opens the door, so if you would wipe on Anzu the run back would be much shorter. If you are going it solo, kill the King first, then pull 1 group at a time from the summoning room into the King's chamber to kill them. The groups have a fear effect, and it's troublesome to be feared into another group of mobs.

The mount dropped for me this evening. I believe it was the third time I had summoned Anzu. I realize I am very lucky. I wasn't expecting it to drop...ever. I have run Stratholme so many times for the Baron's mount that I guess I am a bit jaded. I just thought I'd give this a chance. I'm not trying to taunt anyone with my good fortune, just thought I'd tell those that still farm this, to keep farming, it WILL drop. Now if you'll please excuse me, I'm off to Stratholme.

I have been running guild members through and summoning Anzu for a mount chance. I realized that sneaking in by myself is the most effective way. First kill the Talon King to open the back door, then have your friend use the staircase to come up the back way. This is much more effective than a fight through the instance.

I just tried Anzu for the 1st time since TBC, Since I don't have any feral gear I just used my pally on another account. I had about 3700gs 1/2 tanking 1/2 dps gear(vendored my tanking set for some reason a while back).

It was pretty easy I was able to skip most packs, fighting Anzu I would switch to my druid when he went immune and cast rejuvenation on the eagle spirit and regrowth on pally. Took me about 20 mins for a run playing both characters.

In TBC I prob did about 4 runs and in Wrath I got it on my 1st try... time to start farming for the Baron's mount :P

I ran for 2 1/2 months with a guildie before he quit playing so about 70+ times. We would clear up to Anzu so i didnt have any ikiss kills to keep track. Finally I resorted to paying pug druids 100g a run with the offer of 5,000 if it dropped. I ran 11 times via killing ikiss and entering the back door and at least another 10 via clearing up to anzu's room. So in all i ran it about 90-100 times, maybe a little more since i have 139 badges of justice and only 11 are from ikiss and a few from the boss before anzu who we skipped 98% of the time unless he got accidentally killed.

Anyways my subscription ran out last night and i didnt get to go and i was sad i missed a day. Today my check cleared and even though it was like 2am server i decided to log on and try to find a druid to pug it with. Ended up running it with a random boomkin took us 5-10 minutes and he got 5,100 gold and i got my anzu mount finally after 3 months of horror. Im a mage btw so im so happy to have it finally.

Good luck to anyone else trying to get it! My druid friend it took him 3 months as well where as i know alot of people who it first 1-7 attempts. If you keep trying you'll def get it, take it from a happy mage!

Dropped on my second run. I was mentally preparing for a year of grinding Anzu.
As a feral bear I was surprised by the mobs and killed first time I was there, clearing Anzu's room. Have not done BC heroics in ages, forgot how nasty they are. The prophets fear, focus and kill them ASAP and try not to pull more than one trash pack unless you're massively overgeared. ILOTP heals nicely, but it doesn't heal for THAT much.

(Anzu was easy and boring of course. He is no threat to any bear.)

I had been farming this mount for a solid 8 months, every single day the first thing i would do would be to go to setthek halls and try to get the mount. Last week, it finally dropped, I was so happy i promised all my friends to take them to get theirs. Now I'm facing a great dilemma, whether which mounts will I use now. I have the Swift White Hawkstrider from MGT H and the Rivendare's Deathcharger. I can also confirm it still drops in patch 3.3.3. After doing 67 runs, the pain is finally over. I can now enjoy this beauty, that i've wanted since it was released. And for the people still farming it, don't give up! I had my doubts about continueing after the first months, but with the right dedication you will get it! Funny fact: I had done ALL my runs right after i came home from school, but the day it dropped i decided to go out drinking instead. I got so drunk that i went home and fell asleep. My chinese guildies were going crazy... third raven in our guild so far~~ Next is Tiger mount...78 runs and counting!

Had to sign up here just for this because its been the craziest 2 weeks of WoW I have ever had, and probably will ever have...

First off I got Swift White Hawkstrider on the very first run (the 2nd time I ever did MGT on Hc)... I didnt even think about the mount, I just went there for rep as I am going for The Exalted, and the mount dropped. Pretty cool.

Then as I started to farm rep with Lower City I got a druid guildmate to join me once a day to summon Anzu in Sethekk Halls Hc. On the 4th day Reins of the Raven Lord dropped for me... Wow... I have heard of people farming this for more than 300 days and never got it. Pretty sick!

This alone is pretty crazy. At least I think so. But there is more:

I have been soloing Molten Core for 27 straight weeks in seek of Eye of Sulfuras, wich according to this site has a 2% droprate. And finally last week it dropped for me, and I was so happy to finally create my Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros! Then, on the next reset, I went into Molten Core again and brought with me a few guildmates who just dinged level 55. One of them is supposed to be a level 60 twink, and me being a blacksmither had already created Sulfuron Hammer for him long ago, so he only needed The Eye from Ragnaros. Yeah sure thing, I thought. Wont happen! Well guess what? It dropped! Back to back weeks I saw The Eye drop. The odds for this to happen is 2500 to 1. So if my math isnt completely off here I figure that you have to run Molten Core each and every week - for 96 years! - before you ever see The Eye drop in back to back weeks... Statistically that is. I was just freaked out! Could not belive it. I almost refuse to belive it happend.

Funny thing to see a level 55 obtain Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros after his very first Molten Core clear - and that he can't even equip it yet... :D

Oh and yeah, the very same run in Molten Core I also got Bindings of the Windseeker...

Swift White Hawkstrider 3% droprate - got it in 1 run
Reins of the Raven Lord 1.4% droprate - got it in 4 runs
Eye of Sulfuras 2% droprate - dropped 2 times in 2 runs!
And also Bindings of the Windseeker 3% droprate

All within 2 weeks. Hows that you think..?

Been runing H Setteck Halls pretty much all day. Started about a month ago, and still nothing.
I was hoping to lose my usual unluckyness with this mount but yea.

Im a warrior so I had to find a druid willing to take me in there everyday and that wasn't an easy task.
I started with asking a guildie to run SH with me till I get the raven lord and that I'll be runing H MGT with her till she gets the White Hakstrider. She got the bird on the second run and never runed SH with me after this. Her reason was "Sorry don't have the time". :/
Finally, i started asking in trade everyday for a druid, paying 100g for the run. A nice druid that already got his wanted to run me for free till I get the magnificent raven. Unfortunatly, I feel like he is growing tired of the instance and that I will soon lose him too. :(

One thing I know is that the mount will drop the day I will stop "hoping" for it everytime I kill Anzu. That will take a loooooong time. I just hope that my druid pal will not abandon me anytime soon.

One of my guildie is runing H SH daily since WOTLK came out and he has yet to see the mount drop. Im scared to end up like him, lol.

Over 170 runs, still no drop, Over 300 rivendare runs and 200 polar bear daily, the same with zg, mgt etc. Its just no luck or sth more?

Got mine a couple of hours ago, I'm still quite ecstatic about the whole ordeal, I'm guessing it was at around my 70'th run, I've got 56 official Ikiss kills, but I didn't kill him (trash pack before him gave me a abit of trouble the first times I tried killing them, so I gave up on that for a while.).
I just want to wish every single druid farming for it the best of luck, hang in there, you WILL get it in the end.
A couple of things that will surely help you with farming this mount;

1) ALWAYS keep a positive attitude. Thinking to yourself "Today I WILL get the mount!" will eventually help you.
2) Do it every single day, routinely. I spent about 12-13 minutes on every single run, that is killing all 3 bosses and all trash in Anzu's room.
3) Revel in the fact that when you get the mount, you can make a lot of people jealous. Worth it big time.

26.06.10. first solo run. Feral dps Druid (0/55/16) with offspec 5.5k gs. mostly 251ilvl arp gemed. in bear 29k hp and armor. selfbuffed. spamming Lacerate, Mangle, Maul. when he gets immune cast regrowth and reju and swipe birds. didnt use any CD's. no barkskin, berserk, Frenzie regen. easy as hell. trash nuked in cat (SR+swipe+barkskin+tigers fury) . Make sure you kill Talon Ikiss first, if you wipe at Anzu you can take the short cut back if Talon is dead.

And don't stop just because it didn't drop on the first try!

Still runing this boss daily for the mount.

It hurts everytime I see someone on this bird in Dalaran. Yes, im jealous! I want this mount so bad! The first time I saw this mount was when I started playing WoW and I promised myself that I will get it.

Every time an epic gem drops I nearly have an heart attack. DAMN YOU PURPLE TEXT, I HATE YOU.

There are definitely alot of Druids with this mount, so I differ somewhat being a paladin. If it just isn't dropping for you, don't give up! It will drop eventually.

Just want to repost from the Anzu thread - don't give up hope! I love this mount and I am notoriously unlucky, but I finally obtained this beauty two days ago. I am a holy priest who has a druid alt that I would use to summon Anzu (with a help of a guildmate to keep the instance ID active), and then swap to my shadow offspec and kill him. You CAN do it, if I can get this mount, then I know you druids can...keep working at it! You will be thrilled in the end. :)

Sucks that it can only run and not fly, which I find as a waste of time considering the grind time. Most will likely get this mount through help of a friend but will find that its purely an aesthetic mount because if you don't have a mount that moves at 100% by level 70, you might as well quit the game. Its cute to run around Dalaran with it, till someone flies in with their Drake and or Rocket, or Carpet, or Plane, etc.

Blizzad needs to make this mount fly so that Druids can find a real reason to go back to Sethekk Halls. Also the drop rate should be increased, needing a Druid on team as a requisite is a very bad decision.

Pros: Looks nice, 100% speed.

Cons: Very hard to get even with stealth due to very low drop rate, can't fly even though it's raven..., requires Heroic Sethekk Halls grind not a known place for lvl 80's to go and fight.

Finally dropped after 90 or so runs. 3 months of nonstop runs, never missed a single day.

It got much less demoralizing after I incorporated Ikiss into the run. Takes another 3 minutes, you don't have to kill the trash before him and you can kill him in cat form with enough dps, bear if you feel unsafe. He drops great vendor weapons so I could treat that daily run as a good 20-30g run instead of a pointless unlucky run.

Well anyway, the mount dropped for us the first time, after 3 runs. We couldn't believe our eyes. My friend won it, and I was very happy for him. Since he was the Druid, that payed 5k for this to happen. :)
We started to farm it daily, and after just 10 days (10 resets), we got it again. Yay for me. ^^

Got it today on my 13th run, after reading the previous comments I believe I am quite lucky. Boomkin/tree of life specs (with 232-245 gear), but the HoT-on-Eagle tactic works well, it's just a little longer—30-35 minutes refreshing Rejuvenation every 17 seconds, keep a good book at hand. So it seems half the people that post their progress here gets it within a week or two after :o coincidence? i think not!

Anyway, if anyone cares i can confirm that you CAN run heroic Sethekk Halls as level 60 :)

Took me 2½ hour to boost my (thunderfury wielding) 60 rogue twink from neutral to honored with lower city,
and have been doing Anzu almost everyday since. (been slacking a couple of days for various reasons, also its hard to stay excited about it every day) My talon king ikiss count on achievements says 71, so not counting the 5 runs i did for rep, i did my 66th try today, and still nothing.

As i experienced while getting thunderfury, dont give up no matter how pointless the runs feels. just put it into a routine and hope it wont take too many days. My rogue is already the char i've wanted ever since pre-tbc, but this mount will surely double my appreciation for it :)

I have now reached 104 runs, and since i wanna catch some more twink pvp before cata i've downgraded my account, and therefor put the farm on hold.
Im sad i didn't get my hands on this beauty, but i guess time will tell.

At the end i used my 80 rogue to stealth in and kill last boss, then switched to my death knight/druid/twink (trippleboxing) and took the shortcut up to last boss room and went from there. saved me some time anyway compared to killing my way to last boss on death knight :P

Actually, this time I want to post for luck.

I have fun checking the achievement date of everyone that has the Raven Lord. Everyday, I find at least one person that just got it the same day and when I see them, I think that its their fault if I didn't get mine again today. I can't help it, and it annoys me. /lol

Tomorrow, my server is going into a 24h maintenance so I'll probably miss my first run!
I did my 71th run this morning, getting sick of not seeing anything else than that cruel Belt of the RAVEN LORD.

I really hope that everyone that got this mount in less than 20 runs realise how lucky they are and that they use this mount forever. If not, your full of it. :D

EDIT: Got it for my druid on run 138 and 4 days later, my mage got it on his first run! Im just waiting for my warrior to get hers and all my main will be a proud owner of the raven lord! SO HAPPY! :D

Had to farm it for about 9 days if I remember right before it dropped. As a druid tank I would just stealth through the whole instance in cat form not agroing anything. The first boss is tricky cuz he can see through stealth, but if you hug the left wall enough you'll be fine. I'd clear 2 groups of trash in Anzu's room and then start the ritual to summon Anzu. During the fight when he'd go immune and summon his birds I'd usually get another group of trash along with the birds. Spamming maul and swipe made things go easy. Was so glad when it finally dropped. Still gotta farm 1st boss in karazhan (Attumen) and the 2 ZG bosses though.

I have been farming this since I completed my flight form quest well over a year ago. I have missed quite a few days, but there have been more days that I have killed it than I haven't. I have recently started killing Ikiss as well, for the vendor trash, as a few comments have stated.. but it is ever so disheartening to see someone in my guild (especially a non druid) get this mount after only a week(or less) of trying. And it keeps happening!

I'm main spec resto, but I think you guys are crazy, sitting in that room for 30 minutes healing the bird.. My offspec is kitty, and it's fairly geared. I stealth through the entire instance, and kill all but the one pack that doesn't pull as bear. Pull Anzu until his first immune phase in cat, popping beserk and trying to get off a 5CP ferocious bite before he manages it. Usually I can just get one bird phase if I get lucky crits.. But all I ever see is boomsticks.

I'm both proud and envious of fellow druids out there that have managed to farm this until it drops, I hope my turn comes soon.

This is able to be picked up by completing a quest. It is a Druid quest.. Once you complete it you will be able to get the mount called ''Reins of the Raven Lord''. After you completed the quest you will be able to do it dayli. When you get the mount you will recieve a Feats of Strenght.:) The drop rate on the Raven Lord mount is pretty low should be around 0,8%.

Not only the Druids are able to get the mount, but all other can also get it. Some Druids even wan't G for it. Seen some on my server wan't it for like 2500-15000G could be way more.
