So my question is this... Based on Tooltip

Equip: Your spells and abilities have a chance to unleash vibrant vines
that surge toward your target. Enemies struck take 880 Nature damage over 8 sec.
Allies are wrapped in protective flora, absorbing up to 7180 damage over 8 sec.

Does this mean if i ONLY heal targets, They get the Absorbation, Or... must i do Hostile
Enemy Attacks for this to trigger?

- If so... why does this even qualify as (healing trinket) when i check it up?

I got this as a tank, prot warrior, from my hero delve map.

It might work with Last Stand since that also has a healing portion, but so far I have only been able to make it proc on Impending Victory, it does not proc at all for the DPS or healing portion from ANY passive healing or damage prot warrior has.

Unless this is broken and not working as intended, this is the most useless $%^&ing trinket I could have, I get 1 chance every 2.7 minutes to use Last Stand and, assuming I even talent into Impending Victory, the Victory Rush version gives me one heal chance per 25 seconds, Impending could lower that while doing M+ to make it usable every time YOU, the tank, gets a killing blow.

What a waste of space this is, I now have to hope it gets hot fixed or risk using my delve map every week for the entire Midnight on getting more of these trinkets.

Maybe I'm crazy, but if I filter my bag with "Soulbound", this does not pop up even though it is soulbound. Everything else does. Weird? Weird.

- The damage component is something that only procs when you deal damage to an enemy. This includes dots and auto attacks, but not crowd control like entangling roots.
- The healing component is something that only procs when you apply a healing effect to anyone (including ticks from hots), even if they are full HP, so long as they are in combat
- The healing effect will only target people you are actively healing
- The damage proc deals very low damage over 8 seconds, meaning enemies who die with the debuff will give even lower throughput
- Neither proc stacks, only refreshes, though they seem independent of one another
- Two procs per minute for each effect is the average I'm seeing, but like most other proc trinkets, it can proc many times or even fewer times due to rng

This trinket blows.

As a healing trinket, the healing absorb is very okay in a pinch, but due to its random nature and insultingly short 8 second duration, you will be lucky to get full value out of this for throughput. I can see it being pretty okay if you get lucky and it manages to tag someone with a big dot or right before a big aoe goes out, but the numbers are too low to save someone in content outside of extremely low key levels. Having zero primary stat does this no favours.

As a dps trinket, the output is awful, and tagging enemies who die only makes it worse. As above, so below. No primary stat makes this worse than a stat stick for nearly every class in the entire game.

I think the intention of this trinket is to be very strong for classes who can make use out of both components, such as tanks with healing abilities baked into their kit....... except it doesn't proc on any abilities or passive that heal unless they're straight up healing spells, like word of glory and regrowth (but not the free regrowth procs from Guardian Druid's Dream Guide).

If you need a trinket slot to fill and crit isn't almost completely useless to your class, get Crucible of Erratic Energies and make sure to get the three upgrades on it situated. It's free. After that, almost any trinket after this one will do you better if it has at the bare minimum, primary stats, even if the proc is dog water. Darkmoon Faire trinkets, for example, do much better than this in throughput strictly because they come with primary stats.

I don't think there is a worse trinket than this. This is probably the worst trinket available for every role in the current patch. I rate it a paper cut/10

This trinket blows massive chunks.

The only neat thing about it is that hunters can trigger the heal and shield portion of it on themselves via Exhilaration, and on their pets via Mend Pet. ~~...not that a 50k shield would save your 213 ilevel hunter's pet from instantly exploding in a tier 11 delve...~~

For some weird reason, this trinket works great on my Warrior (Prot, but also Arms). I have lots of procs and especially the healing ones are quite strong. It’s actually the standard trinket for my Prot.

I tried it countless times on my DK, Warlock, Hunter, Rogue, and Monk, but it is pretty much useless on these, with the Warlock (Affliction) being the worst, as it procs almost never. It’s as if the Warrior has some internal mechanisms that the trinket needs to work properly.
