The fact that this is ground targeted and has a 10 second delay on impact makes this thing literal garbage to actually use. It might sim higher than other trinkets, but that's if you actually hit your shot (and before they die from something else).

This is an absolutely useless trinket. The mobs you want it to hit will have to be completely stationary for 10 full seconds. If you or the tank has to move the mobs because of ground mechanics, you've just wasted a 2 min CD trinket on nothing.

Blizzard needs to reduce the timer to like 1-2 seconds or quadruple this damage to make this terrible skill shot trinket worth the shot otherwise it is truly garbage. I can't believe this was my first map reward from delves, hero track trash.

Very useful trinket. Since placing it under a boss, bad guy, doesn't aggro em it's the first thing I do before attacking. I do have issues using it while in combat, but to kick off a fight I like it.

Seems to be a garbage trinket, just like its name. Unfortunately, it seems to be the only thing I can get from using my coffer keys on +8s

03-11-2025 After maint/reset, I looted this trinket (3/8 champ) from an 8 bountiful chest and the gathering time has been reduced from 10 sec to 3 sec. Not sure if this change makes this trinket worth using but I thought I'd mention the change here.

Seems that Blizzard actually listened and buffed this to only have a 3-second timer. That said, it's still literal garbage.

It was either this or Noggenfogger Ultimate Deluxe for my choice on the vault this week because the stupid thing bugged and didn't give me my third choice for doing 8 delves. Bite me, blizz.

This isn't quite as bad as it's being made out to be. Yes, for its ilvl it's probably below average.

However, my situation (and I suspect many others see the same) is that many of my alts have trinkets around the 610-620 range from season 1. I mainly gear these alts up from delves and delve vault. This particular trinket drops all the time. This trinket in the 639-649 ilvl range is most likely gonna be better than your average 610-620 trinket.

On my warrior I macro the trinket to a commonly used melee ability and the use effect ends up being 2-3% of my total dmg done. That's not too bad, when you consider the massive amount of passive main stat you also get from the trinket. I probably wouldn't use it on a non-melee though.

It's also worth noting exactly how the use effect of the trinket works, because the description had me believing something false.

It is not on GCD - meaning if you macro it both the trinket and melee ability will be used at same time
It is instant
After use, it takes 2-3 seconds and a bomb will come down where you placed it (on top of you with @player macro, if you didn't move)
The dmg varies wildly with number of targets hit, and also it seems based on if you have any dmg buffs going on.
