This Trinket requires you to follow the instructions to get the 11.5k buff. so far the following gets you the buff

Stand in a purple disc shaped projector
Chase Purple Orb
Jump 3 times.

Will update if i find more, but probably not the most user friendly and will need to be tracked with a WA to use optimally.

Side note: There appears to be a rare that spawns from the trinket. An Ethereum Void Reaper spawned whilst using the trinket which gives you the Infiltrator's Shroud toy when you kill it.

I will be calling this trinket the "Simon Say's" trinket from now on.

Writing this to make the details more easily accessible.

When you use it, you will get one of primarily three tasks:

Errant Manaforge Emission - Stand on a plate/pad somewhere nearby. Example here.
Cryptic Instructions - Collect an orb floating across the floor somewhere nearby. Example here.
Realigning Nexus Convergence Divergence - Jump three times, indicated as floating crystals above the users per jump remaining. Example here.

When completed you will get the following buff, granting main stat:

Ethereal Powerlink

There are weakauras available if you struggle to track which of the tasks you received when activating the trinket.

Important note: When it's the circle or the orb, you need to stay in it a while, otherwise it doesn't count. Simply walking over the circle or the orb doesn't give you the buff, you need to actively try to find it and try to stay in it for a second or so. Only then, it works.

That popular weakauras website has a few WA codes already, and they do the job as much as they can. Apparently the weakauras are not very precise because circle and orb are hidden auras, so the aura itself can't track them separately yet. But it gives a clue what to look for.

It's a bit hard to see the orb in raid situation as everything is pretty chaotic already.

they need to make the orb more visible! its impossible to see it floating around in the middle when there is lots going on. Just keep it as "jump three times"

Another insanely annoying trinket to use during boss fights. With the amount of void zones and area denial abilities from dungeon and raid bosses, half the time your circle or orb will spawn far away where you will die trying to get it. The orb is hard to see and the circle is super buggy and wont give you the buff even if you're inside it for a while. I'd have to leave the circle and come back in for it to proc. They need to remove the orb/circle and just keep the 3 jumps to proc it.

Trinket is seriously bugged. In delves like the underwater one, the beam or the "stay inside for a moment" just won't trigger the buff.

Using this since today on a Sub, but working around the three effects chosen randomly and untraceable effects is quite annoying:

Jump: gives an aura buff that's easily tracked (Realigning Nexus Convergence Divergence).
Forge: only gives an aura buff after you step inside (Errant Manaforge Emission), which is kind of the point.
Orb: the orb seemingly gives no aura at all and is just an entity created nearby.

Current WeakAuras for this trinket combine the portal and orb as there seems to be no way to distinguish the two by triggers alone. It's a third of the job I'll say, but it is quite annoying regardless. I kind of get this trinket being overpowered for the cryptic nature but for a raid that's primarily purple giving a trinket with purple triggers that cannot be tracked is a bit... well, yeah.

I received the Treacherous Transmitter on normal difficulty 2 weeks ago, since then I've been pressing it on cooldown and been completing one of the 3 tasks it asked me to do. I'm sure I have pressed the trinket for over 200 times in Dornogal and Isle of Dorn combined.

After reading some comments I headed over to Hallowfall at coords "/way Hallowfall 48.83 40.35" and in 4 attempts the Ethereum Void Reaper spawned, which dropped the Infiltrator's Shroud toy for me. There was one other player around that tagged the rare as well but he did not receive the toy.

The little ball you have to chase seems to always go to the right.

It does ignore terrain so make sure there's a little space beside you. I used the trinket in Necrotic Wake on the bridge and the ball buggered off unreachable.

I don't know if anyone else noticed, but the tasks always spawns to your right side. So you don't have to look everywhere.

It took me a month of using this god forsaken thing before the rare showed up for the toy. Not since Witherbark's branch has there been a trinket so unfun to use that I felt compelled to keep on me. I feel free now, I can finally replace this with something better that I already have and not feel forced to use it in solo content.

Maybe it's just me but using this during raids I find rather difficult. Being melee I need to make sure I'm not standing in fire while trying to use this, I thought it more of a hassle then using something else.

Generally this trinket is annoying to trigger as other people have mention before. However (i.m.o) I believe that only the orb is difficult to get. More specifically if you fight versus some massive boss with a lot of animations going around you. Then it is nearly impossible to spot the small slow moving orb .

I can say that after using this for a little while (and get to know that the "Cryptic Instructions" (orb) and the "Errant Manaforge Emission" (pad that you stand on) appears only on your right side is annoying but not impossible. Honestly from design view-point they could/should have done a better job.

What is the spawn rate of that rare "Ethereum Void Reaper" from trinket? I am doing it already 3 days and just nothing is spawning. I am doing it in outdoor Khazalgar zones. It is starting to be really annoying. Do you have any tips?

To the guy who said that you should head to the "/way Hallowfall 48.83 40.35" in Hallowfall, you're a god damn national treasure among people.
I got the Treacherous Transmitter from the weekly m+ quest and decided to try my luck for the Infiltrator's Shroud. I had only 2 uses in the Isle of Dorn and then I went to Hallowfall after reading all these comments on wowhead.

5 attempts. That's all it took, 5 attempts for the Ethereum Void Reaper to spawn. Either i am extremly lucky or there is something happening with this spot there. I caught it live on stream so here's a video clip from youtube if you don't believe me:

The rare can seemingly spawn outside Khaz Algar too (presumably ANY zone). Spawned in Korthia for me.
Anyone can tag it and loot it. I was solo, another ungrouped person helped me kill it and he too received the toy (and the 400 toy achievement with it lol).

I can confirm the rare can spawn in Undermine.

For the superstitious among you, who seem to be weirdly numerous (never had any luck with the spot in Hallowfall btw), he spawned in the sewers where you summon and fight a crocodile for a quest at 25.80, 41.73

Pretty certain now that this thing is broken. I've been spamming it for two months now, using both for fights and just randomly when it's off cool down. Doesn't matter where I am in the world, I never get the rare to show up. I've skipped two trink upgrades to keep using this and it's starting to irritate me to no end because it's stupid that the rare is spawned in this way.

So you are a Toy Collector and find out this Trinket, when used can spawn a Rare that can drop the hidden Toy Infiltrator's Shroud when killed.

First thing you need is the Trinket Treacherous Transmitter

1. Drops from the 6th boss in the Nerub-ar Palace raid Nexus-Princess Ky'veza (or 3rd boss in the 'Secrets of Nerub-ar-Palace' LFR
2. Wowhead states the Trinket can be fished. I have crawled through the whole LFR and cannot find any fishing spots. On 4 occasions I dropped the Hyper-Compressed Ocean and fished for the 15 minutes each time. I got a few cheap fish and trash items. I cannot find any areas to fish just outside the Raid in the 'City of Threads'.
3. Some have said it could be in the Weekly Pinnacle Cache but I never saw it. Not to mention the Trinket is 'season 1' so unlikely to be found in a season 2+ cache

RNG. I ran the LFR as a healer and killed Nexus-Princess Ky-veza every week for 6 months. I discovered the Trinket often didn't drop at all including a 9 week stretch! On other occasions when it did drop literally everyone rolled for it. On almost all occasions my roll was in the bottom half including literally last on several rolls. Today I ran the LFR as DPS. Wait time took 4 hours and 21 minutes to get in. This time I rolled a 94 which was high enough (by 1 point) to get the Trinket!

To get the Trinket buff you need to perform one of three actions when clicked. Lots of suggestions on Wowhead the best location to do this however I believe this is RNG. Trinket Cool Down is 1 minute and 30 seconds. The 590 Trinket looks a bit silly on a 655 Demon Hunter so you are only wearing it to 'use' to spawn the Rare.

I flew to Hallowfall 48 40 and clicked every 1 minute and 30 seconds. After 21 clicks the Rare did in fact spawn. Easy solo kill. Toy dropped.

For the Toy Collectors amongst you may the RNG God's be in your favour!

After cleaning up my bank and seeing the trinket sitting there I decided to give it another try at the toy/rare. I previously farmed in hallowfall for hours with no luck in season 1, I went back to the box spot in hallowfall and got it to spawn on my 3rd use today in season 3! Good luck, don't burn yourself out, it'll spawn eventually!
