So I got it as a ret pally, it's an infinitely lesser version of Seal of Filial Duty, but it consistently procs (as expected) from paladin's fire spells, the buff lasts almost 20s and absorbs about 100k damage at ilvl 463.
Looking for a way to proc it's fire shield to see if they share CD.

Upd. Ended up using Paracausal Fragment of Thunderfin, Humid Blade of the Tideseeker to proc the fire shield, you can't have 2 at the same time and they seem to share a CD.

Fire shield is called Ruby Serpent's Ward and confirmed to proc off of Toxic Thorn FootwrapsToxic Thorn Footwraps

I have the neck on my disc priest (Purge the Wicket can proc this) on ilvl 463. Over a RISE/13 it absorbed abysmal 150k dmg for me.

Guardian druid reporting in on this thing.

I repeatedly tried to use the passive damage aura from Fyrakk's Tainted Rageheart to trigger the Nature damage absorb (Emerald Serpent's Ward), but was unsuccessful. Rounded up bunches of mobs in the Ohn'aran Plains, killed them solely with the damage aura, no proc. At one point, I tried the on-use ability, and the damage from that did proc Emerald Serpent's Ward. I was also able to trigger it with Flaring Cowl.

I was unable to trigger Ruby Serpent's Ward via Brambles and Barkskin. As another comment mentioned, Toxic Thorn Footwraps do trigger the Fire absorb.

Can anyone think of a way that a Blood DK could reliably try to proc the fire shield for this? (preferably without the Iced Vial of Corrupting rage so I don't have to have all the extra damage coming in)

Isn't proccing off any (demo warlock) shadowflame damage like Hand of Gul'dan and Demonbolt, the Shadowflame embellishment nor off the Belor'relos trinker or the ranged Incandescent Essence enchant Tindral's Fowl Fantasia.
The Seal of Filial Duty was at least proccing off the Demonology spells.

Was looking at how to proc the fire damage shield as a tank and you can use Darkmoon Deck Box: Dance. Seems hard to maximize.

I've had this neck for a week now on my paladin main. And I have not seen the effect proc once in combat. It procs plenty of times out of combat, when my Corrupting Phial does dmg to myself. But never once during a key, or a raid or even the open world. ~~I swear the effect is unable to proc in combat for some unknown reason.~~ It has proc'd in combat after a fair bit more m+'ing, but because it only absorbs certain dmg types, this neck is not worth the effect. But stats are good for some specs.

I'm Restro Shammy and have Heroic Version of this Nec and it procs oke-ish but its mostly useless in M+ because i gives you Nature or Fire Damage Shield.

Legit Question -- This is listed as BIS for MM Hunter. When/how would this ever proc for them? Maybe only with the Explosive Shot?

This is listed as BiS for frost mages on several websites. Can anyone explain why? I understand as a fire mage but frost?

So the info on here shows this item can be purchased from a vendor in Valdrakken. I have attempted to locate said vendor...That is a negative, repeat NEGATIVE on location... the info here shows her to be in the Parting Glass Inn, but no show. Is this character still around, but moved? Or is she not available any longer?
