Not sure if this is the intended way to get this mount, but Kyrian can channel anima to the Temple of Purity for a treasure, and this mount dropped for me once i reached the Brazier of Purity.

Edit: This mount can now be purchased from the Renown Quartermaster for 5000 anima and 100 grateful offerings as well.

It seems that this has a chance to drop from the Temple of Purity anima conductor treasure chest. Since it's the first week of the expansion it's hard to say what the drop chance is. Here are the steps for those confused about how to do this:

Buy the anima conductor upgrade from Haephus (42.6, 52.4). It will cost 1000 anima and 1 Redeemed Soul. First one is enough for this treasure (you won't be able to get further updates for a while as of this post). The research will finish in an hour.
Go to the conductor and activate it (like a garrison building, you just turn in the quest). The Kyrian one is at 38.3, 68.9.
You're given a choice where to channel your anima for the day. For this mount chance, choose Temple of Purity.
Immediately, you should be able to see anima being channeled to this region. The treasure should show up as "The Penitence of Purity" (purity's pinnacle region) on your map. Go to this location (/way 60.2, 78.2).
Now look around for a bell; it doesn't always spawn in the same location. So far, for me, it has spawned in 2 locations. I think it's pretty easy to find and it's never far from the treasure. Click on it to 'commune' with it, which starts the puzzle.
You're unable to use most abilities and have to navigate a through the moving circles on the floor without getting hit. If you get hit, you're thrown to back to the beginning. If you're having trouble seeing them on the ground, it could be a graphics setting issue such as projected textures being disabled. All in all, pretty easy minigame. When you reach the end, you can loot the treasure for your mount chance.

Just received this mount today from the Temple of Purity after doing the Burden of Penitence puzzle. The only way to activate this puzzle quest is having the Anima Conductor upgrade and having it channeling at Purity's Pinnacle. This is my second day doing this, so it is not 100%.

Has anyone else noticed their characters riding postion is strange on this mount? My female Zandalari's legs are in the same position they'd be in for the larger/wider mounts, like the Arboreal Gulper, and not the same as any of the other cat style mounts. It looks totally ridiculous while running.

Obtained mine today from the Brazier of Purity. First day for me where the Brazier is permanent (10 days of using anima Conductor lets you focus a beam to always stay on that spot)

A bummer that it can only be used on Kyrian characters. Not able to mount it on my non-Kyrian characters.

Rarity String for all of the following:

Armored Bonehoof Tauralus - This can be bought from the Necrolord Renown Vendor OR rarely looted from the indariver as I was halfway through the list of mounts and found their comments which helped me finish up the other half of the list. :)

I've been channeling anima to the Temple of Purity for a month now and I still haven't got the Mount. There was only 1 day I didn't channel to that temple and that was just to try out what the other one did. Now that it's permanent, it's the first thing I do every morning when I log onto WoW. Even some other char got it at the same time I was there and spent a bunch of time running around me saying look what I got. Look, Look, Look. Well they where horde and I was Alliance but that is what I felt like there where doing.

Edit: Got the mount the very next day. My family is a WoW family and my moms second char joined Kryian. The first day that she could Channel anima to that temple I showed her what to do. Today in fact. She got it on her first try just like me but I was over a month later.

Took me 7 attempts from looting the chest down by Purity's Pinnacle to get my mount.

Low drop chance so far it seems - 19 tries and nothing.

Keep getting (three days running now) when all I want is the mount ; at least it's upscaling to 184.

I'm at 32 attempts, I think, maybe more since I wasn't tracking in RareScanner before.

For those coming here now, please ignore all comments related to drop on 1st, 2nd, 3rd attempts or dropping on the first day where the conductor made permanent on the treasure location. They are all unrealistic or extremely lucky observations and expect a possible long grind if you’re willing to farm.

I’m around 80-90 attempts, trying with one kyrian char since day one and haven’t been blessed with rng on this yet.

This looks like a typical low drop rate mount (around 1%) and at certain time would be just wise to buy with 5k anima when this currency will become more abundant.

Edit: Dropped 16 days later, which makes approximately 100 attempts.

Neat thing about this mount, is once you have it, you can ignore the ground effects at the Penitence of Purity daily if you are mounted on it.

The link to this said it was "highly desirable." That's like a cat saying, "Oh, um, I meant to slid across the kitchen floor and smash into the sliding glass door." This is the least desirable mount in the plethora of phalynx mounts. It looks like it was left to rust in a junkyard filled with decomposing cars and defunct refrigerators.

For the Kyrian, the most desirable for non-flying is the Eternal Phalynx of Purity. For a flying mount the Ascendant's Aquilon is the best with the Elysian Aquilon being a close second simply because you get it sooner. The reason being is they perfectly match your Selfless armor transmogs.
