Seems like the price can vary probably because rep price reduction.
Source: The vendor in legion dalaran is selling it for 5 gold while the BFA vendors are selling it for 4 gold

This item seems way to expensive when you start looking at IV and V level relics, they take 15/25 thread per relic.

I wasted a lot of gold when I was leveling tailoring and crafted lot of bags. Better buy it from vendor you have reputation farmed already rather than in Oribos.

Hi team, just to alert, on EU realms this morning, the price of this item went up to 9g a peice, same as "Curing Salt".

I thought it was a personal bug but about 6 others came by and verified the price increase.
Just thought i'd let you all know.

Price is increased to 9g. However, in Zuldazar for Honered or above rep the price is 7.20. I've checked it for Barder Zitaki and Baku.

The information listed is incorrect.

Meilosh in Felwood does NOT sell this for 4gold each. At exalted it is sold at 7g 20s.

Telling you this so you don't spend 2 hours getting to exalted like I did only to find this out.

Cheapest I found is 7.2g now, not the 5g wowhead states.

Which idiot decided to make these so expensive? You need the exalted discount & get all the other items for free for a shuffle to be profitable now. What's the point of crafting if you're basicly better of just vendoring the mats you loot?

Price is reputation-dependent. I just checked SW on my Dark Iron Dwarf alt that's friendly with SW. 10g 45s.
My revered (human) priest just paid 8g 80s. So if you can, get a revered or better alt to buy it.

The tailor shops in the old world cities carry it, and you're likely to have exalted rep there. So you have a good reason to return to an old world city just for this.

This item establishes the cost (and hence AH price) of the 32-slot Lightless Silk Pouch. Exalted price of 25x thread at 8.80g is 220g. 15x Lightless Silk is less than 20g at current AH prices. So total cost of 240g. The bag is selling for about 288g today (1/1/2023).

After a lot of toon hopping and flying around, the best price I have found is in Orgrimmar from Shimra <Trade Supplies> in the first hut on your right upon entering Orgrimmar's front gate.
9g 35s at Revered.
8g 80s at Exalted.
