The Battle of Nazjatar occurs every 3 hours in Nazjatar

From my experience so far:

- You get 5x Nazjatar Battle Commendation for winning the Battle of Nazjatar
- You get 2x Nazjatar Battle Commendation for losing the Battle of Nazjatar
- You get 8x Nazjatar Battle Commendation for completing the weekly PvP world quest that is only available during the Battle of Nazjatar
- You get 1x Nazjatar Battle Commendation for looting a War Supply Crate in Nazjatar
- You get 1x Nazjatar Battle Commendation for looting a naga commander when the Battle of Nazjatar doesn't start due to faction imbalance on your shard

You can get this currency from PvP event The Battle of Nazjatar.
Event starts every 3 hours in Nazjatar.

For win you get (checked on live 8.2 - 01.07.2019):

For lose (checked on live 8.2 - 27.06.2019):

To get this rewards - you need to kill at least one enemy player, while event is active.

Also you can get 8 х Nazjatar Battle Commendation from weekly PvP quest, for killing enemy players while event is active.

You can spend this currency for mount Inkscale Deepseeker, pet Chitterspine Devourer and 2 flag toys.

Alliance vendor - Tomas Riogain
Horde vendor - Dazzerian

I just got 10 tokens from a win somehow. I had twice the reward lines. Score was 3000-2

Won the battle, got 0 rewards, and no I didn't have the debuff. Last time I lost I got 0 rewards also.

Where are the Naga Commanders located at for the PvE version? Got the alert they were there, but nothing showed up on map and five minutes later it was over...

Ok I noticed this yesterday, I thought its some daily new lockout, bug or whatever, but I just finished event (fresh new day), we won, i got like 10 kills, NO DEBUFF ofcourse... And no reward?

Didnt get any Commendation, Honor etc.. But it wasnt like this, always got reward after win, did they changed something or its a bug?

To get everything you can get from these commendations you need a total of 295. The only expense for these when the collection's complete is Chitterspine Devourer as it's cageable, for 30 each. As a rule of the thumb buy whatever you want to get, but do make sure you have enough commendations to buy rank 2 and/or 3 Ripple whenever you get close to unlocking it (if you want it, of course).

Notes:

The Essences (75) are per character, the rest (220) is account wide.
The Essences require achievements (rank 2 & 4), Call to Arms Distinction (rank 3) and previous ranks.
Per credit Emarka, the toys unlock for both factions when buying one.

As of May 13th, 2020 these now also drop off of rare spawns in Najatar with WM on.

These now drop off of all Rares (including the activated trees and the Sandstorm from chests) each and every time you kill them with Warmode on. Meaning you can kill the same rare 5* times in one day, and get a Commendation every single time.

*Have not actually tested up to 5 times, but I have killed the tree in the very North three times, the Sandcastle twice, and Sandclaw Stormshell twice(In the same day), and gotten a Commendation each and every time.

Does anyone know whether there is a hidden "cap" for killing rares and getting a commendation? I killed 6 different rares (Chasm-Haunter, Typhonus, Vortran, Siltstalker, Unu, Leth'sindra), getting a commendation each time, and then on the next kill (Alga), no commendation dropped.

EDIT: just killed Sandclaw Stoneshell and got a commendation. Alga must've been bugged.

You can still farm the currency : 1 is dropped when you kill a rare with War Mod On

You can still kill the same rare it will drop a currency even if you have already killed it today, each kill is 1.

Best way I've found to farm these is to just come back daily and kill all the rares and naga commanders in war mode until you've saved up 150 tokens for the mount. RiP a bagslot until then.
Repeat rares do give commendations.

All good info here, but I'm going to add to it.

I've been stalking Soundless and one of my camped alts has WM turned on. After learning what the commendations were for and making a plan, I did some quick math to determine how long it would take to get everything.

I figured, for the base minimum, you can get 18 commendations per day (on only one character) doing nothing but slaying only the rares that are up at all times without special summons or extra long timers.

If you are only going after the toys, the pet and mount, figure 13 days (12 days and some change).

If you want all the recipes along with those items, 17 days. Obviously you would need alts to run this stuff to get recipes that you can't collect since they're BoP and by then you can farm more coins to get the toys and mount faster.

Honestly, not a bad time-waster if you're camping rares anyway. Plus, figure getting extra as other things pop up, like Soundless, the war chest, etc. I'm also not figuring in killing rares I've already killed simply because it's harder to find them when they're already dead since addons like Rarescanner won't pick them up and their timers are probably a ridiculous long time anyway.
