"The Range is Insane!" It actually is, since it's presently 100 yards. ~~The cast time is insane too, 6 seconds~~. Cast time reduced to 3 seconds as noted by iamdjk.

This item can be purchased from the PvP vendors in Dalaran for 25 Mark of Honor.

Talia Direhorn is the Horde vendor.

Lieutenant Dorgen is the Alliance vendor.

Can anyone say if this one time use or consumable? Asking because the vendor that sells it - sells consumables and 1 time use for 25 marks can get expensive. I can probably take one for the team and buy one but I need to farm a few more marks.

Important note:
Item usable while you also flying on a mount.

So:
1. Fly to your target.
2. Use item.
3. Target will fall down.
4. You also will fall down -> use goblin glider or your save ability (blink, slow fall, etc).
5. ?
6. PROFIT!

I hit someone with this today, twice, and it didn't dismount them, and yes we were both in Warmode. They were on a passenger mount though, if that matters.

Cost - 25 Marks of Honor, you buy it at your factions pvp vendor in the Broken Isles Dalaran, will be available later as a quest reward in BfA.

Range - 100 yard range

Cast time - 3 second cast time

Cooldown - 10 second Cooldown

Unlimited uses and it is character bound

Here are a few useful things I learned about this Item:

You have to be standing still on the ground to use this item, so you don't need to worry about someone flying up above you and dismounting you as they fall.

When you use this on an enemy player, if they don't currently have a target the enemy player will auto target you as soon as you begin casting the net, which gives them a slight warning they are about to be dismounted.

When I used the net from stealth (casting it does break stealth), the enemy player did not auto target me as it normally does.

If the net successfully launches, it will put you in combat for a few seconds.

It does dismount a Druid out of Flight Form.

If you already have Net-o-Matic 5000 purchased for Marks of Honor, you need to delete it and then to hand in quests Prove Your Worth (H) or Do Your Part (A), receiving this item as a reward. If the item you purchased you have, still has a blue refund timer, return to vendor to get your marks back, otherwise those can't be restored.

Unlike similar items from previous expansions, this doesn't work on ground mounts, as stated on the tooltip.
Even when flight is enabled, there may be cases where summoning a ground mount to flee is the safest choice.

The best spot for this is in the middle of Blackrock Mountain. When players exit BWL UBRS etc and you see them mount up start casting the net so when they take off they will get knocked off into the lava and just before the lava kills them try to get the killing blow so you can get some honor for your troubles.

Behold, the useless "solution" to flying in War Mode!

Not only is the range INSANE(ly low), the dismount puts the user in combat - in the unlikely chance they can finish the 3-second cast time before the enemy has already flown out of range. Given that, assuming the enemy survives the fall with one of many tools available to most classes and several professions, you can begin the chase of a true predator as they become untrackable amidst the jungles of Zuldazar for a full few seconds before combat drops and they fly away behind the canopy.

The very short cooldown of 10 seconds makes it a perfect tool for knocking down a full ganking party of one whole person, and initiating engaging duels against the easy targets that are AFK in the sky that will succumb to your powerful, oppressive gaze as a force far greater than you - gravity, that is - ends those unsuspecting victims too stupid to hold the space-bar for an additional two seconds before running to the bathroom without so much as granting you an honorable kill.

But wait! There's more!
This tool is amazing in low-roofed subterranean zones in which you can fly! Soaring through the inevitably line-of-sight blocking stalagmites and stalactites in this fictional zone has never been less dangerous knowing that the bloodthirsty hunters swarming the ground floor will all have their nets pointed at you menacingly without any hope of hitting you! Nevermind that this scenario is completely nonexistent in this game - think of the possibilities!

Alright, sarcasm aside. This item is pretty well useless. A range of 100 yards is unbelievably low even if the item was instant-cast. The distance between ground and maximum sky height is many times that at the lowest points, and flight speeds surpassing 300% mean you traverse that distance and perhaps more in the time it takes to cast it. Unless you are quick about starting the cast on a target that just mounted, you are unlikely to knock anything out of the sky outside of farming people afk on their flying mount, stupidly low to the ground.

It puts the user in combat which leaves you with almost no opportunity to chase someone who is still flinging forward upon dismount due to momentum, and by the time it drops for you it probably has for them - and they're already a good distance away.

I'm not saying you'll never get some exciting moments from this, but this is hardly a solution to the inevitable flying problem of War Mode. This item needs twice the range, half the cast-time (again), and no cooldown. If it's going to put the user in combat, it should forcibly apply a parachute to the victim that cannot be cancelled, preferably cancelling momentum in the process. Despite the name, the "net" is purely visual - it does not function like other roots which cancel all forward momentum and pull you straight down.

Personally I'd rather just not have flying in War Mode, but hey, I'm not the one getting paid to make bad decisions.

Kind of ridiculous that you cannot break the channel, even if you move so far as to no longer render the person casting. As long as they start it, you're screwed. The worst thing is that it doesn't ground you; it dismounts you with full momentum. I get the idea behind it, but the implementation is absolute trash.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this item.

Even if another player is really high in the sky, you can fly up next to them and fire this - you'll dismount but if you were a bit above the other player, it'll fire while you're falling so if you're willing to die for the kill - which I am - you can still kill the other player.

It's like Top Gun on gryphons.

Amazing.

I am happy to realize this still works.
I saw a hunter doing the Maldraxxus PvP quest by camping on a flying mount by the balcony. Then flying in and getting a last second hit on the boss at the top of the tower when she spawned and some other player (me in this case) had done most of the job. When I came back to do the quest on my main I used this thing to shoot him out of the air. Amazing. Sadly he survived the fall and managed to run away before I could finish him.

Is this now zone-limited? Right after DF pre-patch started, I tried using it in Stormwind, and it gave me an error message. May just have been some pre-patch shenanigans.

This does work in Dragon Isle in the WPVP World Quest area. I got Dismounted several times at the Dragon PVP area in The Walking Shores.

I tested this out in other Dragonflight zones and it works while in War Mode. I am guessing this is a glitch after they opened up Pathfinder. This works on both normal and Dragon mounts!

Its real hard to get someone on a Dragon mount because they are so fast but still super fun!

This works much better than the Qalashi Wingshredder. This takes longer to cast, but has a shorter CD and doesn't bug out 90% of the time like the Wingshredder does.

The noise of this thing being on the receiving end of it scared the heck outta me! Thought it was coming from outside 🥲 once I clocked on to what was happening I heroic leap’d to safety! But omg that noise causes such anxiety can they not change it to a fun squeak toy or something 🤣

Don't buy it from a vendor, you can still go to BfA and do the quest for it (and the quest nets you an additional 200 honor). Buying it is an option for people that got rid of the item.
