This dropped for me from a chest in Tanaris. Sold for about 20g, although I thought about using it for my pally. Would make a decent pally tanking main hand for mid level pallys now that pallys can tank so well.

Excellent introductory weapon for a DW shaman due to the slow speed, nice stats and decent DPS. With the new patch it will become one-hand so you can buy 2 and be good to go for quite a few levels as a shaman. Expect to see the price go up as well.

Also good for paladins, warriors and even rogues, once again due to the hard-hitting top end combined with good all-around stats bonuses.

Got this for 10g on Spinebreaker for my pally. Surfed the auction house since I created this character for a nice 1h/mh mace cheap and picked this. Plan on getting the shield from SM to go with it.

Looks like a nice weapon. I just picked it up for 20 g, I don't know how long this is gonna last me since I wont be doing alot of instances, but I'm a dw shaman and I also picked up Wirt's third leg for 30 g. Whats the next best upgrade for these 2 pair of weapons

I'm kinda torn whether to use this... it dropped for me while I was farming Giant Eggs ^^
OTOH the questline for this http://www.wowhead.com/?item=9651 wouldn't take me long with a 70 along and I gain 5 weapon dps!

Definitely nice for a DW enhman, but well, if you can get a mate to help out the stormhammer is a better option at 41.

Ok - am interested in this weapon as a lvl 43 Druid... nice stats & damage. I can't find it in the AH and, frankly, would rather get it as a drop... however, that isn't going as planned. =/

I have spent an entire level (from 42 - 43) killing nothing but Hatecrests (Sorcererss and Serpent Guards on the Isle of Dread) but can't get it to drop. If anyone has any ideas of where it may drop easier for a solo player my level, please let me know.

Also, I see comments about using this off-hand. I did not thik this was possible and that may be due to the fact I am a druid and not a dual weapon wielder (which would be nice) - any comments on this as well?

As an Alliance enhancement shaman focused only on leveling to 70 asap, dual-wielding a pair of these from level 40 with Crusader enchanted is the way to go until your next upgrades :

I Got 2 of these for 100g from the ah , got crusader on both of them and levelled to 60 really fast :)
Dual Wielding these two for leveling is godly so if u see it on ah buy them :)

weird enough I got this at random in blasted lands of those scorping things, great sword I've sold it in the AH for about 200g. It felt so rare to me I could have equiped it but I need the gold.

I happen to have found it on an alt. Now with next patch I might transmogrificate my main's 1h into this :D Would look pretty decent with Righteous armor or pally tier 4 :D (transmogrificated tier)

Regarding transmorg:

I think this mace has a one of a kind "skin." There are several same models, but they all have decoration on the hammer's head. This one has a non-embellished head and is silver. It's a drop, so currently farmable but still worth keeping if you are concerned with keeping unique weapons.
