If you fly to the flight path npc Gixmo Moneycash in Nagrand located in the Throne of Elements there are schools of Fat Sleeper in the lake behind you making this quest a breeze. Be careful because there are Slithershock Eels in the lake.

Good place to fish for these as Horde is right off the dock at Wor'var. No need for pools if your skill is high enough.

You will fish up "small" fish in Draenor while your fishing skill is low, but as you keep fishing and gain skill points you will find larger versions of this fish which require less catches to gut & clean. To catch normal or "Enormous" versions while your skill is low, try adding a good lure to your pole such as Worm Supreme.

/use Anglers Fishing Raft
/use Sea Scorpion Bait
/use fire Ammonite Bait
/use Jawless Skulker Bait
/use Blackwater Whiptail Bait
/use Abyssal Gulper Eel Bait
/use Blind Lake Sturgeon Bait
/use Fat Sleeper Bait
/cast Fishing

You can add your Nat Pagle hat if you have one. But "Fishing" has to be last in the list or your "cast" will be canceled out (interrupted).

I love this macro so much I had to share it. Even when you're fishing in non-Draenor zones (and don't need the special bait), this macro will keep you afloat, as it refreshes your raft on every cast.

Best place I was able to fish these up was right in Telaari Station (Alliance). Three pools spawn here, but even without the pools you can fish these up easily with a high enough skill level. Mob free and close enough to a flight point.

Remember you can combine your Telaari Talbuk with Azure Water Strider to fish while riding on water. Will of course cancel when in combat.

As of 6.1, cleaning of fish has gotten a LOT simpler. It now takes 5 fish to clean, no matter what size they are, and they now give a set amount of mats. Current yield is as follows, per 5 fish.

Enormous: Yields 20
Normal: Yields 10
Small: Yields 5

lets make it easy on ourselves. go to nagrand, Lok-Rath. nothing attacks you here, there is a flightpoint, repair guy, vendors and quests. just go back and forth along the waters and they respawn pretty fast. you can even find lumber, ore, plants etc. if you get bored waiting to respawn, hit some of the yellow beasties for meats etc. while the pools for sleepers respawn, fish for other stuff you can use for ur garrisons daily quest for fish eggs. extra stuff can be sold at the auction house. wow smarter, not harder... = )

I found a great location to fish for these, fly to riverside post, nagrand and fish out of the river by the flight master. Be sure and use your worm supreme, bait, and a fishing hat if you have it. I got a 80-90% rate of return. Hope this helps you and you have as much luck as I did.

with flying my favorite spot for this is the waters around throne of elements, the pools respawn quick so you don't have to leave and you don't have to step out on the water to reach them. I generally stuck around the pillar with the Darkwing Roc on it.

If you're doing this in 2022, you'll have to go back in time. To do this, use the Stormwind portal to Ashran and then fly to Nagrand. Now you should be able to see the fat sleeper schools.

i did this in 2026, it was done in maybe 30 min, start at /way 60 40, then follow the water to throne of elements around it until you get back to /way 60 40, with the second stream leading back

All the pools will have respawned by the time you done a loop
