In the dread wastes right now the sky is dark. seems like a vortex of grey and black clouds flowing from the top as if your looking at a sha hurricane.

Zone itself is very similar to Ghostlands, its sky look the same 24 hours per day, even the "dead scar" is present in form of sha corrupted ground. I like the zone, its immersive and Klaxxi add a lot of touch to it.

But the quests oh my, by far the worst leveling zone in Mists. Majority of quests are gathering quests with low drop rates (1/3-1/5 or even less than that), kill quests with high number required (13-17), almost no vehicle or storytelling quests. Extremely boring zone, by the time i had 3 bars left to 90 i already hated it with passion and dread the moment i'll have to go through it again on alts. 400k hp mobs and low DPS output doesn't make things easier either.

Apparently NO ONE knows how to get into this zone. I've asked numerous people, even level 90s who have gone through the zone and nobody knows.

If you're desperate to get in at level 89 and cannot find a way, try flying to Shado-pan Fallback in Kun'Lai and then running along the wall alllllllll the way down, just past the Gate of the Setting Sun, and you'll see a flight point and a quest giver on the wall.

If you're looking for a way to get there before you're 90(and can fly), go to "Krasarang Wilds" , and swim around the southern edge of the wall. It's a decent distance, so if you don't have a spell for it, an Elixir of Water Walking will come in handy.

I got a quest from the flight master in Winter's blossom in kun-lai summit. By accepting that quest i got an flightpath to serpent's spine. thats how i got the start quest to Dread Wastes

How do you open the Shado-Pan Gate between Dread Wastes and The Vale of Eternal Blossems? Please help!

I walked right through the door in Klaxxi'vess (the quest hub with the daily quests). Behind it was a corridor with a room at the end. In that room was several Klaxxi guards guarding something that looks like a pedestal with eggs on it. I posted this in the chat and another player tried it, but he couldn't go through that door. Is this a bug on my character or his?

I loved this zone. It has a great faction, quest lines and amazing sky! While I'll admit some collector quests seems somewhat low on drop rate, and it is very monochrome at times, but overall its a nice zone with varied terrain and even a little bit of underwater stuff. Klaxxi are a really neat race, their organizational structure is really interesting and to see it play out in the quests is even more fun.

Can anyone help me? I've done all quests in the other zones, I am level 90 but there are no quests for me in Dread Wastes. What have I done wrong?

Managed to start getting quests for this zone Horde side by accepting the quest "The Klaxxi" from Bowmaster Ku, located on the same level as the weekly charm quest giver. Upon accepting the quest you also instantly discover a flight path to the Serpent's Spine just like the Alliance equivalent.

Dread Wastes as a questing area, is accessible via Il terrore nelle Distese del Terrore which you can pick up from Maestro degli Aquiloni Len. He is found in Kun-Lai Summit at Winters Blossom.

This will open up the new area for you to quest in from level 89.

In this zone is where you will find the Heart of Fear raid entrance. There is a reputation here called The Klazzi. This zone has alot of sha and mantid. At the gate you will find Shado Pan fighting off the mantid from invading The Veil of Eternal Blossoms. If you look at the info under the map you will find alot of helpful information.

Alright so you're going to read this and think I'm nuts and out of my mind but...

I was bored sitting around in Klaxxi'Vess one day, when I noticed the towers were zapping mantid periodically.

I thought to myself, for no real reason, "I'm gonna get the tower to zap me".

So I sat on the left side of the tower. After a few moments, I realized that it was only zapping bugs on the right side of the tower.

So I sat on the right side of the tower. A moment again, I realized two things. One - I look pretty stupid about now, and two, it seems to only zap bugs on the side you're not sitting on.

Alas, if only I had a 2nd person as whack-o as I am to see if mantid would stop coming from that direction altogether.

Or maybe I'm just crazy.

I went to the dread waste at lv 88 as afrost dk and just walked down the spine till i got there and jumped down and found the rope climbed up and started like that. At lv 88 the quest give over 250,000 xp each

So is there any quest to get in that doesn't involve the Bowmistress? I have done the Klaxxi quests so many times, please, help me not go insane.

One thing to note is that you will have to complete all the quests until The First Paragons has been completed in order to start picking up quests in other parts of this zone. So if you're not interested in the Klaxxi, you will still have to help them to a point.
