Do you know how to gather dark rune? cause the most time there are nothing at the AH and the only place to farm it is at the elites of scholomance..... as it shows in the link or there is another place to farm it that isn't showing here?

This was the most annoying part of this quest. and expensive. Theres not too many people running Scholo anymore so the dark runes where the hardest for me. But heres a run down of how much it cost me for just his part
Runecloth: 0 farmed in Outland
Sungrass: 3g cheap
Arcanite Bars: 75g i have no guild and i'm no alchemy so this was pretty expensive about 15g a bar or so
Dark Rune: 45g i got two off of a run but couldn't get another run going so i trolled AH for a week and bought them were selling from 20g a pop the 3g so good luck

plus the 150g this cost me about 250g just for this part so if you have a guild bug them for some of the stuff it might help you out.

Arcanite Bars: 25g a bar in AH... Damn exspensive.
Dark Runes: 15g in AH if you ever see one, only had 1 drop in Scholo all the way to Rattlegore.
Sungrass: Free Friend gave me her excess from her Epic mount quest.
Runecloth: Free drops off everything in Eastern and Western Plaguelands.

Now I am only lvl 58 and I just got to outland but I have 3 Dark Runes the Grass and the Runecloth but no Arcanite bars. I hope I come into some decent cash to spend on the by the time I hit 60. That way I can finish the quest in about an hour.

This is y u get alot of friends in WOW. I got the runecloth from killing the orcs in outlands. I got the sungrass from a friend whose a herbalist. Im a miner, so i had the mats to make the bars and an alchemist friend made em for me. 3 of my lvl 70 friends ran me thru scholo till i got all the dark runes, took 3 runs. So all in all, this cost me 150g. B4 u got out and by the bars look at the mats first, it could be cheaper. 1 arcane crystal, 1 thorium bar.

Good to know is that Dark Runes has a 50% droprate on 4 of the 6 (7) last bosses. Both to the north and both to the south in the last room.

An easy way to farm these are by jumping down in the beginning, then there is a locked door which you need a key to (not sure if rogues could picklock it, but that would be a huge plus!).

The boss that drops the key is Rattlegore, so easiest way to get to him is up from the room with the locked door, then turn left (could be good to kill all these mobs as they also drop Dark Runes). After that, you get into a room with dragonlings. Clear your way to the other side and go down a level. If you have a group of 70s you just need to kill some of the skeletons to manage to pull Rattlegore. Kill him and loot the key (Notice that the key is one-time-use only).

Now run back to the room with the locked door and open it. You can skip the next room and just go left when you enter it. Now you should be in the last section of the instance. There are two levels in here, with rooms facing north, south and east. The bosses that drops Dark Runes are in the rooms to the North and South, on both levels.

In response to Urbetta's comment.. don't assume that because the mats for arcanite bars is cheaper than the actual bars that its worth it.. for an alchemist to make it their have to use their transmute cooldown, which is 23 hours so you'll probably have to pay someone to do that for you.

For those taking this quest, know that it will cost 150 gold extra. It isn't listed in the requirements of wowhead database though. This means that if you are buying most of the materials in the AH, save up 150g more.

Oh and, 6º stage requires materials wich are aroung 200g. So yeah, it's around the same price of a regular mount, but with the plus of an awesome tabard and the coolest 100% speed mount of the game ;).

my alt is on this q also, but i wanna know, is it worth to do it? because she's lvl 62 alrdy and doesnt rly need xp or anything... so do u get some important stuff from it liek spells / abilitys or is it just a q?

Not really worth to do now.

pally can get the mount, charger at level 61 from trainer now, so if you think Bloodknight Tabard and/or number of quests you can finish are worth to extra money and time, then you might do it though.

I just hit 61 with my BE pally & you can not just spend the 17g with the pally trainer to get your mount; if you do not do the quest you still have to spend 510g with the regular mount trainer to get Journeyman riding, then go to the pally trainer & spend 17g more for the pally specific training for the charger. Getting the tabard & the fun of the questing may be worth it to some, and may even end up a little less expensive depending on what you can buy/mine/farm on your own or with guild/friend help.

You can't avoid the 150 Gold, but you can definitely lessen the costs for the other MATS.
You can farm the Dark Runes, but check your server... on AH... I bought all of mine for 1Gold each. Yeah, I wash shocked too. As for the Sungrass, this one is fairly cheap. I got mine for 5 Gold for 20, and resold the unused 10 for 5 gold, which made my cost 0. Runecloth, this can be farmed ASAP, but check your guild vault. If yours is like mine, there may be what you need sitting in there. The hardest of them all is the Arcanite Bars. These go on my server from anywhere from 20G to 50G for 1 bar. That's expensive. So, (as a miner) I just gathered the Thorium and Arcane Crystals. Then I Trade Chatted and asked for some help from an Alchemist. A cool Toon crafted the necessary bars for free. He actually even gave me some extra Thorium. I did give him some gold for his trouble (10Gold), but he told me he would have been willing to do it for free. Now, if you're not a miner, you need only 6 bars of Thorium and 6 Arcane Crystals to craft the need Arcanite Bars. Simply buy these on AH, may spend 30 - 40 Gold no the MATS, but that's a lot cheaper then trying to buy the Arcanite Bars outright.

All in all the Quest cost me 160 Gold. My biggest recommendation, just ask around, your guild members, or even general chat... a lot of folks were more than willing to help out.

This is my First time writing something on Wowhead, but this *!@#eD me off!
Unless these items are cheap DONT do this quest!:
Sungrass, (if you decide to buy it)Darkrune), and pristine black diamond, i spent 200g+ time to do this quest...

Ok, well i SHOULD have checked this quest out before i handed in all the mats for A gesture of commitement, but i didnt and this failed misurably, I dont know how it is on your server but on Frostmane it was expensive, Anyways If you calculate the time it takes to do all this+the mats Most people are in outlands so gold is coming quick, Spending 550g to get the regular 100% mount is FAR FAR FAR more quick, in the long run you save a lot more money i spent:

Runecloth : Free(looted)
Arcanite bar: 16gx6 96g
Sun grass: 10 , for 25g
Darkrune: Ridiculous price of 60g

Total: 186 + 150 = 336g, just on the 1st quest (most people would farm the dark rune)
so about 276g,

4th quest(True master's of light, 2nd part)(this one really hurts)

Arcane catalyst : 50g(Im horde so can be bought in Silvermoon
Crepuscular power:150g(Bought in silvermoon also)
Azerothian diamond: 26g
Pristine black diamond: Whopping 150g

(I spent 722g)(i bought the dark runes)
Total : 376g!
Subtotal: 662g! + the time spent on doing ALL the suckin' quests(this is without
buying the darkrunes) So i suggest bfor doing this quest, check the AH and if the mats are cheap before doing this quest!

After patch 3.2, 100% mounts are only going to cost 40g and you can learn to ride them at level 40. So i'm guessing that Blizzard is going to remove this quest chain. If not... you can always do the quest chain and get a tabard for about 500g...

The quest itself may be fairly useless now, but it's also the prerequisite for four more quests that grant a total of 1250 rep with Silvermoon. Call me a crazy hobo on a soapbox, but I'm guessing that's still less gold than if you just bought a load of Runecloth on the auction house / faster than farming for same, if you're looking to grind your rep up.

A Blood Knight's loyalty does not stop at the end of <his/her> blade, <name>. The order asks more of its members than mere drilling and combat. A true knight contributes to all of the order's activities, even the ones that may not seem glorious on the surface.

This first task is neither combat intensive, nor glorious, but without such contributions, the order would fall apart. I will give you a list of items Magister Astalor Bloodsworn's men require to keep us supplied with Light energy for our magics.
