The tower is located on the road in-between the lumber camp and the elite part of hearthglen (there's a picture of a tower on the map where it's located). The holy relic is in a box located at the top of the tower (in-front of you as you reach the top of the stairs).

The quest is solo-able, but it's worth doing it in a pair if you can.

I was smart... i did Unfinished Business (elite part) while I was on the last part of the Fordring series and you get the disguise (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=5862)

However, I didn't see (or realize) this quest was in the same area and can easily be solo'd without having to fight anything if you are under disguise. Woulda been a free 6200 + 7750 xp +600 Exodar rep.

I've had my share of getting ganked in Hearthglen and am looking to skip over this quest since I missed my chance at easy-mode. I can grind the XP from the lvl 60 Scholo/Strat etc and farm AV turn-ins (esp Storm Crystals) if I find myself in need of Exodar rep.

Just a warning Sometimes a Lv63 Elite Rare is also guarding the bottom of the tower on the inside to the right, this can be solo'd (LV57 HolyPaladin) But not if he is around.

At this time, all the tower mobs at the top level aggro instantly, making the fight extremely challenging, certainly not soloable by non-pet classes.

Difficult to solo this quest, but definately possible. Solo'd as level 56 Shaman. The mobs were 3 frost mage's(1 pat) and a named mob Captain Durgen. Took a major health potion, and a whipper root tuber. I would advise bringing a friend if you're a non healing class to complete this quest.

There is a rare elite that spawns, level 63 named "Scarlet High Clerist." Perhaps he spawns after you complete this quest and open the chest, as he was not in the lower room as I entered the tower.

Soloed this as a level 57 elemental shaman - i didnt have elites spawn on me, just a named npc and the 3 mages. Wasn't too difficult, just popped a mana pot.

This is just plain not soloable by a squishie, at least not at level 59. You WILL take a crapload of hits, so bring a tank or at least a leather-wearer.

Also, I would love for the people who claim that it is possible NOT to pull the mobs all at once to go into more detail.

Just soloed it at 56 Warlock. At the bottom, I feared one, sent pet (Felguard) to attack one and I myself attacked one. Got this settled down, moved up to the top of the tower, pet got one, feared 1 and attacked 1. My pet got killed, I used Howl of Terror to fear 3 of them for few seconds, it was just enough time for me to open and loot the quest item. Run away and done!

solo'd as lvl 57 warlock (afflic spec)

3 guards at ramp (you can pull one solo, but the other two are too close together and you pull them both)

--1 twink patrolling perimeter just after ramp
--1 guard patrolling staircase
--3 twinks inside building on base level (you WILL pull them all, be careful, and try to time it so you don't attack when the staircase guard pat is coming down)
--3 twinks at top of tower (you WILL pull them all. you can time it so you only pull one, but the other two are roving and will definitely attack).

The item is at top of staircase, but you can't get it without pulling the 3 twinks at the top.

all enemies lvl 57-58.

twinks use frost trap and hit for roughly 250 each frostbolt. armed guards hit for ~60 each.

don't know how I would've done this without voidwalker to take agro. Best to bring a friend. things can get ugly really fast.

Actually Durgen walked out of the tower right as I was polishing off the last ground level Avenger... nice service.. killed him and went on my way.. Thank you Blizzard!

Where did the turn-in go?

Don't worry! If you don't see Truuen around, that just means he has taken another group on an escort quest. No worries, he'll come back.

this wasnt easy for my 55 lock, had to res right beneath top of the tower, pull the named guard, then bring my felhound in to eat those mages.

Easy to solo as a level 60 Hunter, the pet took all of the aggro and I just shot the mobs from a safe distance but beware of the Scarlet Pally he has a lot of HP

If he's not in the camp, he's at the tomb.
If he's praying and you can't hand in, do like this.

If you're having trouble with Truuen being stuck praying, get 2-3 mobs to follow you to him and have them kill him. In about 2-3 minutes he will respawn at the camp.

Run to the camp, get the quest, escort him.
(Great quest for stealthies, then you just need to kill the mobs that will spawn and attack you and not the one around)

Read at the follow quest at wowhead and read my post how to do the escort easy and soloable.

solo'd as 57 frost mage, just send ur water elemental up and make sure he takes aggro, loot the chest fast, jump down (use blink right before u hit the ground). It's possible. but aint easy.

May want to be careful because occasionaly there is an extremely rare spawn there. Elite lvl 63 scarlet high clerist. When i tried to do the quest it was there and made the quest extremely hard. He drops ur average 58 pre-bc greens. Other than that, not too hard.

Named guy patrols so just wait for him to reach the bottom stairs and ress in the tower. Then you only have to deal with 2 mages.

If u don't have cords...

Run towards heartglen (follow the road right of Dalson tears) and keep going north, you will see a tower on your right, go to the highest floor and it's a chest guarded by 2 lvl 56 mobs. easy solo GL!

Lvl 56 prot warrior no trouble with this wuest aggroed all Spellcasters on ground floor. No trouble.

I got super lucky with this one as a 58 Shammy. There were no mobs out front, inside or upstairs! I just ran up and looted the chest! Many thanks to the unknown peeps that cleared the place out before I got there!

Don't complete this quest before the first stage of A Plague Upon Thee as the next quest in that line requires you to go to the same place.

For clarification, the chest is NOT in Hearthglen. It is along the road which goes to the city. If you open your map, look to the right of Hearthglen and you'll see a lone tower. That is where you want to go.

55 ret pally, died twice trying to get it.

The third time I had some luck, however. I inched up the last set of stairs towards the named npc, and he aggroed me through sight, and so did the spellbinder next to him. However, the other spellbinder and 63 elite ignored me for some reason. Took him and the clothie out with no problems. The next part was sort of tricky, but it's actually common sense more than anything. The other two mobs at the top are casters, and they won't even try to attack you if you are in LoS. Their cast time is about 1.5 seconds, which gave me just enough time to loot, bubble, and jump down the tower. SUCCESS.

I -really- want to see a blizzard poster reply to this quest, apparently it's been glitched for so long and still not fixed. I got frustrated and abandoned the quest, great, now i have no way of getting the damn quest again!

Quest guide says level 58. O.K., I'm a level 58 frost mage, so I go for it. After 1/2 hour of killng without much trouble, I get to the tower; kill a bit more, get halfway up the tower stairs and run into a level 63 S.O.B. Thanx much, Blizzard -- I really needed that!

In the short time that I have been on Azeroth I have studied many of its heroes. Of them all, Uther Lightbringer stands above the rest. A hero for the ages, in the end Uther was betrayed by his most promising pupil, Arthas.

In his honor, I would like to return something he lost to his nearby tomb. It is rumored that the Scarlet Crusade is keeping one of his holy relics atop their guard tower near the gates of Hearthglen.

Please, <class>, go and retrieve it.
