As of 9/28/12 I see this bugged, anyone else having the same issue or find a way to fix it?

Fix:
Going to sound stupid, but it worked for myself and a couple of guildies.
If you queue for and complete (win or lose) a pet battle while near He Softfoot, When you return he is now in phase allowing you to hand in the quest.
Heck you probably don't even have to finish the battle..

Edit:
Since then i've had to repeat the process every time i return to the area.
You do not have to complete, just join-leave.

Pet battles didn't work for me. I tried with multiple people with no luck. Finishing and leaving right away.

A way I did it was simply leaving the area and coming back multiple times. Took about 5 times per, but its better than just waiting for a bug fix or trying pet battles and so on.

If the quest givers didn't spawn... try leaving the area and fly towards Tu Shen Burial Ground and into Valley of the Four Winds. Then swing back towards Whitepetal Lake. May take a couple times.

So yesterday (10/01/2012), this quest was bugged and I could not complete it, but I left it in my quest log. I logged on the next day, the quest was gone from my log and the quest giver it's offering me the quest anymore. Which leads me to believe this quest line has been removed from the game.

Edit: Quest is back, since dailies are randomized now, the logical conclusion is, if you don't finish the quests that are random, they get removed from your quest log.

I think They = That. Or was supposed to. Am I the only one who reads the quest dialogue?

For all the other comments here, as of 5.1 this quest seems fixed.
