Apparently Blizzard has made this quest scale with the level of the Warlock doing it. I just ran through Valley of Trials as a 70 warlock, saw the exclamation mark above the NPC, and did this quest for over 7 gold worth of experience at level 70.

A Note to Warlocks going back at level 80 (or earlier) to work on Loremaster, The Seeker, and Reputation. I'm a level 80 Blood Elf Warlock and went through the Orc starting zone in pursuit of these achievements. After some confusion at not being able to do this memorable quest (from a plethora of other alts I made from this race) I found out that I could not do this quest.

I believe it has to do with the fact that since I completed the Blood Elf equivalent to learn Summon Imp when I leveled, I cannot do this quest. This is as of 3.0.8. Don't know if other warlocks have recently ran into the same issue, but I thought I would post my results.

It seems like with 3.3 they've removed this quest for warlocks and now you simply train Summon Imp from the trainer.

Kind of sucks because without this quest, you can't access the rest of the chain so now my little warlock is not even level 5 and out of quests in the Valley of Trials.

Those warlocks who came before us have earned the distrust of the Horde, and while we are tolerated, we are not loved.

This has not brought the warlocks closer together, however, as many choose to live reclusively, dabbling in their magics alone. I will not seek to lead you down one path or the other, but only help you in your maturation.

Before I teach you the art of summoning, bring me six heads of the vile familiars from the cave to the northeast.
