The crate of stones expires after a certain period of time, just pick it up again in Darkshire. If you are en-route to Nethergarde Keep when they expire then continue and speak to the flight master there so that you can fly back to Darkshire then back to Nethergarde Keep quickly.

The crate expires after an hour. If you have your mount it should only take 10mins max(if you don't attack anything), If not 20mins max. There are Horde guards on the path in the swamp of sorrows.

The Quartermaster Lungertz is in the back of the Keep in the stable.

Follow Deadwind pass - when the road forks, take the left (to the right is a high-level bird Mob), and keep riding until you get to the Swamp. Then you just follow the road that exits to the south by taking Right turns at each of the two major forks in the road. The Horde Guards are low level and easy to avoid - if your mounted you can outrun them easily. You should stumble on Netherguard as soon as you enter the Blasted Lands. Don't hang out - there isn't much to do in town, and it's kinda high level if your doing this at level 40. Do be sure to get the Flight Point to the northeast of the stables, where you drop off this quest. You can fly, hearth or ride back. Also note there are a few 35-40 level quests for Alliance in the Swamp of Sorrows, including a small outcove of Broken Ones (nominal allies and relations to the Draenei).

At level 40, I was able to get 2700 EXP and 50 silver, plus 150 rep w/ SW and some exp through discovery. An excellent level 40 quest.

i went all the way to the south end of the blasted lands wen i realised it was in the north east corner

well at least i know were the dark portal is now =D

did this on my 46 Dwarf Ret paladin in under 4 minutes, the box has 60 minutes to expire.

When exalted with Stormwind you get 41 Rep with Alliance and 50s and 4150exp.

this chain is WERY eacy if you have flight path from SW to darkshire and to nethergarde keep!! all in all it took me about 4-5 min. to complete this chain!! so eacy money and XP :-)

If you are after Loremaster, or even that bit of extra exp, make sure to pick up the breadcrumb quest, Vital Supplies, from Stormwind first! It will no longer be available after you complete this quest.

As a level 50 Night Elf Druid, neither this quest nor the pre-req seems to be available.

ha ha... this quest is sooo great. Let me tell you. You go through a high level zone where you die if anything hits you a few times. Almost as bad as that one in Un'Goro Crater where you get swarmed by those eels.

Also if you happen to die you're put at the bottom of the area. Great quest blizzard good job. This quest is amazing for a mage.

The amount of time they give you is almost insulting. On a 60% land mount, I was just reaching the outer walls of Nethergarde Keep when the duration went down to 56 minutes. You could probably even get there in time if you decided to walk instead of run!

Honestly, there's no way a competent player could possibly fail this quest (discounting getting repeatedly ganked on a PvP server).

[This crate of powerstones needs to go to Nethergarde Keep, in the Blasted Lands. They won't hold their power for long, so we can't ship them with the next caravan.

You must take them, and you must take them quickly.

Bring them to Quartermaster Lungertz in Nethergarde Keep. To reach the keep, you must travel east through Deadwind Pass, then east through the Swamp of Sorrows, then south through the Blasted Lands.

Use caution, <name>. You will travel through dangerous lands, yet you must not fail.]
