New Druid Forms! (Night Elf Bear)
Continuing the trend, Blizzard release the new artwork for the
Night Elf Bear
forms today!
I like the work on these, the eyes are very interesting and the claws look especially dangerous.

New Druid Forms! (Tauren Bear)
So Blizzard has just announced that they are finally updating the models for some of the druid forms!
These graphical updates will be released in the next major content patch, including separate updates for both night elf and tauren, and both bear and cat forms. Blizzard is releasing the information in four installments, and this is the first:

Taking a Break Can Ease Challenges
Have any of you taken a
MMO vacation
recently? I know I have. Sometimes you need some time away from things to clear your head. Maybe catch up on a few chores or errands you put off recently. I remember last playing World of Warcraft a few months ago. I was working on an
achievement
which was timed. I thought it was really fun, but it was kind of hard at the time, too.
Whether I'm trying to pull off a huge combo in a skateboarding game or trying to solve a riddle in a role-playing game I feel as though my work would be complete if only I could achieve that one special goal. Of course, it seldom happens that way for me.

Wowhead: Talent Calculator Updates!
That'll teach us for thinking no one used this. The minute we changed the "Summary" link on the
talent calculator
to display only the talent titles, I was deluged in email asking us to change it back. Well, we hear you. The full-text printable Summary is back, and it missed you!
We've also made a few tweaks and updates to the talent calculator as well, so for those of you who have been using it regularly will notice a few tweaks—most notably, the links on the right side (Reset, Lock/Unlock, Import, Summary, and Restore) now all work for Glyphs as well as for talents.
Poke around, give it a try, and don't say we never gave you anything. :)

Pretty Picture Filler Week!
As you may have noticed, I've been slacking with the comics. There are a couple reasons behind this, but its mainly due to me being eye-bleedingly busy. I've been using the days I allocate each week for Wowhead, to work on

I will be drawing these for other staff members in the near future, and for those that want to commission me for similar badge-art as above, they will be available soon. I'll add some information about it in a future post.
The other reason for a decrease in comic numbers, is a lack of scripts. I no longer have a full-time writer to make them for me, and I'm having terrible writer's block!
So if any of you out there have any ideas for short, simple, and funny WoW-related comic script, please feel free to send an email to feedback@wowhead.com. Who knows...it might get used!

So here I am, writing a blog post when I should be studying for a chemistry and physics final for next week.

The development team here at Wowhead has made some changes to the way we serve up static content on our servers. We have been moving files that do not change often (such as images) to a new server to help improve the performance of the site. Today, we completed that move.
For those of you who are using the

logos or search boxes, you should update your pages to take advantage of this performance gain.

Maintenance Complainers: Justified?
Every single Tuesday on North American servers and every single Wednesday on EU servers, Blizzard takes down their servers for maintenance. Sometimes it's for full maintenance, and other times it's for rolling restarts. Since this has been the normal routine for over four years now, one thing really confuses me. It's not the fact that Blizzard even
does
maintenance in the first place; rather, what confuses me is the fact that players still complain about it. It makes me wonder why they complain about in the first place, and if they've not found a way to cope with the 6-8 hour inconvenience.
