Through the Fire and the Flames Campaign Quest Now Shared Spawn with Long Respawn

It seems that something happened to the "Through the Fire and the Flames" campaign quest overnight, as many players have commented on Wowhead that the Blade is now shared loot across all players and takes 5-6 minutes to spawn.
Through the Fire and the Flames
The quest
Tra fuoco e fiamme
is part of the Maldraxxus Campaign and therefore is
required
for players to complete in order to reach level 60 and pick a Covenant on their first playthrough. This means that these players are roadblocked in the campaign until they complete this quest.
For alts that are leveling, you can turn on
Threads of Fate
to bypass this, but be warned
you cannot return to Campaign mode
after you turn this on.
Many players have already completed this quest over the last two days, and it only seems to have broken this morning with many Wowhead users posting comments on the
quest page
. This seems to indicate that the quest item is now a 4-6 minute spawn and only one player can loot it at a time, with some users pointing out that there's actually a line to pick it up now!

has
provided a Workaround
for the quest, allowing multiple people to loot the Blade at the same time by
not autolooting
the Blade and holding it open so multiple people can loot it.
If you don't auto-loot it and you leave the loot window open, everyone else can grab the sword before you take the item and close the loot window. I was able to grab the sword and everyone else that was waiting picked it up as well.
