Due to the profession revamp and level squish coming in Shadowlands, some WoD crafted armor sets and weapons may no longer be obtainable.
We highlighted this issue a few weeks ago in an
WoW Economy wrap-up
, but were optimistic it was a WIP during the Shadowlands beta and would be adjusted in later builds. However as Shadowlands draws closer, these sets remain unobtainable on the beta and more and more players are getting concerned:
Essentially, you could upgrade the item level of gear from Garrison Buildings through crafted tokens, and higher item levels had unique tints. These upgrade recipes have been removed in Shadowlands and the tokens are now grey trash like

Below is a look at all of the appearances that are unobtainable in Shadowlands if no replacement system is implemented.
It is still possible for Blizzard to add another way to acquire these tints, but we wanted to inform players of the current situation as these appearances are unobtainable on the PTR/beta for several weeks.

Blizzard has weighted in the matter, confirming that the looks will be gone with Pre-patch, but will return at a future date.
Yes, this is a side effect of Shadowlands development.
We already have plans to reintroduce all of the transmogs in a future patch. So they’ll only be unobtainable temporarily.
