With the Race to World First over, Dratnos and Tettles have shifted from Daily recap videos back to weekly videos covering relevant topics in the WoW PvE scene! Today's video focuses on the state of Mythic Plus right now.
Relative dungeon balance is, at least at the top end, quite problematic right now, with two outliers in the too easy direction, Shadowmoon Burial Grounds and Court of Stars, and several other dungeons arguably too difficult. A quick look through the top run keys right now over
on RaiderIO
shows Shadowmoon Burial Grounds and Court of Stars being two-chested at keystone levels where some dungeons have yet to even be completed in time. Opinions may vary among groups that have less experience with these older dungeons, especially Court of Stars, since some groups played that fairly recently in Legion Timewalking M+ while others may have never seen it before, but even this likely doesn't explain the full disparity.
The learning curve for both new and old dungeons is somewhat daunting, though many of the strategies for defeating the harder bosses in these dungeons can be quite rewarding to pull off.
