Hunter Pet Series: Crabs

Welcome to the latest edition of our Hunter Pet spotlight series. This month's article focuses on the
Granchio
pet family!
For each article, we will highlight a particular pet family and give you a short summary of the pet along with how and where to find some of the more interesting tames of that particular family. At the end of each post, there will be a contest where you can post your best matching transmog with the pet family highlighted during that week. Winners will be chosen and will be featured in the following Pet Series article.

Crabs
Granchio
pets were one of the original tamable pets in World of Warcraft introduced back in Classic. Typically, Crabs across Azeroth are Neutral mobs and generally ignore passers-by. They are found all over Azeroth, but most notably in the coastal regions of each continent. Since Crabs have been around for awhile there are a ton of different recolors for some of the more basic models. The most unique thing about Crab pets is they have a special toy called the
Daga da Granchio
which gives your Crab pet a knife to hold in its pincers. Notable tames include
Karkin
and
Re Cliclac
.
Pet Family Abilities
All Crabs are Tenacity. Tenacity gains the following benefits:

: You and your pet take 20% reduced damage for 6 seconds (3 min cooldown).
Allenamento per Resistenza
: Passively increases you and your pet’s maximum health by 5%.
Crabs have one unique ability as they are not exotic:

- The Crab claws at the target's feet with its pincers, slowing movement by 50% for 6 sec.

Guardingo del Profondo Strillaspine

How to Tame:
The Chitterspine Crab is a brand new Crab model introduced in patch 8.2! They are currently not tamable but there are a variety of different colors that you will be able to choose from. There won't be any special method of obtaining these crabs.

Eremita d'Acqua Dolce

Multiple
How to Tame:
Hermit Crabs are another common crab located in various zones around Zulzadar/Kul'Tiran. There is nothing special to taming them. There are multiple different recolors of this type of Crab.

Vecchio Bollicino

Zuldazar
How to Tame:
Vecchio Bollicino
is a rare found off the coast of Zulzadar. He has a unique pink coloring. There is nothing special to taming him. Other crabs with a similar models but different coloring are common throughout Azeroth.
Karkin
is another very popular Crab with a similar model introduced back in Firelands. He is one of the many challenge tames introduced in patch 4.2. For more information on how to obtain Karkin, check out the

How to enter:
Put on your best looking transmog that matches any
Granchio
pet you own.
Take a picture of you and your pet in a cool place.
Leave a comment with a link to your screenshot (try
imgur.com
if you need a host). If you can't post links yet, no worries, post it anyway and a staffer will manually add it in for you.
The winner will be chosen the following month, during the next Hunter Pet Series article. In addition to the game time, the winning screenshot will be featured in the following Hunter Pet Series article!
