Raid Testing Schedule

On Thursday, November 8th and Friday, November 9th we will be conducting raid tests of the Mythic Battle of Dazar'alor. After Mythic testing has ended up Friday, we will open Normal bosses 1-6 for both faction. These bosses will remain available over the weekend.

BOTH FACTIONS:
Testing is open for both factions. However, for some bosses, raid members will temporarily re-live events as the opposite faction using a story flashback.

As always, this testing schedule is very fluid and subject to the realities of a test environment. We might have to change the time of a testing session, change the bosses being tested, or cancel a test entirely, due to bugs, server hardware issues, etc. Keep an eye on this forum for the latest information, and thank you in advance for testing and providing feedback.

Q: How do I get into the raid zone?

A: In Zuldazar, Boralus, Dalaran, Orgrimmar, or Stormwind, you may speak to Nexus-Lord Donjon Rade III in order to teleport into the raid zone while it is open for testing. (The option to teleport into a zone will not be available when the zone is not open for testing.)

Q: What character should I use to test the raid?

A: Whichever you prefer. We will be scaling players' effective level to 120 for raid testing, and their item level to an appropriate threshold for the encounter(s) being tested.

Q: How long does testing last?

A: The primary purpose of testing is to give us the information we need to balance the encounters, evaluate how mechanics are playing out in practice, and identify bugs. Once we're satisfied that we've received that information for a given boss, we'll be shutting down testing. Usually this takes anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours, but there are no guarantees.

Overview: Players face off against a pair of Horde combatants who combine their powers at key points throughout the fight.

Damage Dealers:
Keep both combatant's health at similar levels to avoid giving Ma'ra too much damage from [Harmonious Spirits].
[Magma Trap] will knock you so high into the air that the fall will kill you.
Spirits of Xuen will [Stalk] a random target until they are defeated.
[Prismatic Shield] must be damaged down so that you can interrupt [Pyroblast].
During Serene Showers, you are unable to pass through [Rings of Hostility].
[Chi-Ji's Song] blocks targeting into and out of its confines. (Heroic, Mythic)

Ma'ra Grimfang: Monk who uses her powers of Storm, Earth, and Fire to attack the players with devastating attacks.

Harmonious Spirits: The caster is attuned to the life force of their ally. As the health of their ally gets lower than that of the caster, the caster will become more powerful.
Whirling Jade Storm: The caster whirls in place, sending out waves of jade energy that inflict inflict 10 Nature damage to all players within 100 yards every 1 sec.
This ability persists until the caster is struck in melee combat.
Multi-Sided Strike: The caster knocks their target into the air, and summons a series of Storm, Earth, and Fire images that strike the victim in rapid succession. If the victim fails to face each image's attack they will take 60 Physical damage.

Successful Defense: The caster knocks their target into the air, and summons a series of Storm, Earth, and Fire images that strike the victim in rapid succession. If the victim fails to face each image's attack they will take 60 Physical damage.
Tested: Your ordeal with the monk's images has left you vulnerable to Physical damage. For the next 40 sec. you take 100% more Physical damage.

Spirits of Xuen: The caster summons Spirits of Xuen to chase down a random player. (Heroic, Mythic)

Tiger Paw: The caster strikes the target for 30 Nature damage. (Heroic, Mythic)
Pounce: Strikes all targets within 5 yards for 20 Nature damage. (Heroic, Mythic)

Anathos Firecaller: Fire mage who uses the power of fire to attack his enemies.

Fireball: Throws a fiery ball that causes Fire damage. The victim is afflicted with Rising Flames.

Rising Flames: Burns the victim for 3 Fire damage every 1 sec. When Rising Flames ends, a Burnout occurs.

Burnout: As the flames burn out a final burst of Fire damage hits all players for 30 Fire damage. Burnout's damage is increased based on the number of applications of Rising Flames that triggered the burnout.

Pyroblast: Throws a massive boulder of super heated fire at the target, inflicting 70 Fire damage and causing them to burn for an additional 300 Fire damage.

In Mythic difficulty, this ability instantly kills the victim.

Fire Shield: Applies a shield to the caster that will absorb the next 100 damage taken. While the shield holds, the caster cannot have their spellcasting interrupted.

Searing Embers: The caster plants Searing Embers in random enemies that inflict 7 Fire damage every 1 sec. An Unleashed Ember occurs after 10 sec. if this effect is not dispelled.

Magma Trap: Creates a zone of fiery magma at the location that persists until triggered. Once triggered, all players within 6 yards take 56 Fire damage are knocked into the air.
Victims of the Magma Trap take 100% more damage from future Magma Trap effects. (Heroic, Mythic)

Team Attacks

Combined Power: As the fight progresses, the combined power of the combatants increases. When their combined power reaches sufficient thresholds the combatants will unleash team attack.
Fire from Mist: When the Combined Power of the combatants reaches 30 power, the duo teams up to summon living bombs shrouded in jade mist. Each bomb will continually blast all players with explosions. The mist prevents targeting into and out of the zone.

Chi-Ji's Song: Calls upon Chi-ji to create zones of mist that will block targeting into and out of the zone. While players stand in the zone, they take 1 Nature damage every 1 sec.
Living Bomb

Explosion: The caster explodes, inflicting 18 Fire damage to all players.
Beam: The caster fires a continual beam in front of it as it rotates. Players caught in the beam suffer 20 Fire damage every 1 sec.

A Flash of Hostility: When the Combined Power of the combatants reaches 60 power, all players are ported to one side of the playspace while the combatants teleport away. Anathos creates a barrier and continually calls down Phoenix Strikes to pelt the area while Ma'ra creates a maze of hostile rings to foil player's passage across the battlefield.
The combatants continually channel their abilities until players break down the barrier and interrupt them.

In Heroic Difficulty, only one of the barrier's weak points is attackable unless a player uses a Force Orb to make the other points attackable.

In Mythic Difficulty, none of the barrier's weak points are attackable until players use a Force Orb to make each weak point attackable. Additionally, a sprit of Niuzao will chase the players through the maze.

Ring of Hostility: Creates a zone of hostility at the target location. Players who enter the zone are expelled from the area.
Phoenix Strike: A Phoenix crashes down from the sky, inflicting 30 Fire damage to all players within 6 yards.
Force Orb: Pick up the Force Orb. If you successfully carry it across the battlefield you can use this orb to allow your allies to attack another one of the weakpoints in the barrier. (Heroic, Mythic)
Path of Niuzao: A Spirit of Niuzao pursues players through the maze of Rings of Hostility. The spirit leaves behind images that continually trample players near them for 40 Physical damage. (Mythic)

The Serpent and the Phoenix: The monk transforms into a jade serpent, and the mage transforms into a phoenix. The transformations persist until the encounter ends.
This ability is used when the combatants reach a combined power level of 100.

Dragon's Breath: Burns all enemies in a cone for 20 Fire damage every 1 sec for 2 sec.

Overview: A pair of aspects join the fight at the start of the encounter, while the others observe. These aspects must be kept apart to prevent them from receiving [Loa's Pact]. Each time an aspect is defeated, any other active aspects heal to full and receive a stack of [Loa's Wrath]. Afterwards, a new aspect joins the fight.
Throughout the encounter, the loa appear to unleash their wrath, with an additional loa being added to the rotation when a new aspect enters the fray. The encounter ends when all the loa's aspects are defeated.

Damage Dealers:
Kill Ravenous Stalkers.
Move away from allies when effected by [Akunda's Wrath].
Move to Paku during [Paku's Wrath] to avoid taking lethal damage.
Healers:
[Kimbul's Wrath] is continuously spread throughout the raid during the encounter.
Dispell allies affected by [Mind Wipe].
Move to Paku during [Paku's Wrath] to avoid taking lethal damage. (Normal, Heroic, Raid Finder)
Healers:

When you dispell [Bwonsamdi's Wrath] it will jump to the closest target that does not have this effect. (Mythic)
Tanks:
Keep the aspects apart to prevent them from receiving [Loa's Pact].
Move to Paku during [Paku's Wrath] to avoid taking lethal damage.

Loa's Pact: While the loa's aspects are within 7 yards of each other, their damage done increases by 75% and their damage received is reduced by 90%.
Loa's Wrath: The life force of the fallen aspect empowers their remaining allies, increasing their damage dealt by 15% and heals them to full.
This effect stacks.
Cry of the Fallen: As the aspect falls, their loa lets out a death cry that inflicts 7 Nature damage every 0.5 sec for 6 sec. (Heroic, Mythic)
Pa'ku's Aspect

Gift of Wind: At full energy, increases the haste of allies by 45% and movement speed by 75% for 15 sec.
Hastening Winds: With each consecutive melee attack against the same target, the boss' attack speed increases by 8%.
This effect stacks.

Pa'ku

Pa'ku's Wrath: Pa'ku appears and flies to a random spot within the room and conjures violent winds, inflicting 40 Nature damage to all enemies farther than 10 yards from the boss and 8 Nature damage to enemies within 10 yards every 1 sec for 8 sec.

Gonk's Aspect

Crawling Hex: At full energy, curses an enemy, rendering it unable to attack or cast spells for 5 sec. Upon expiring, Crawling Hex spreads to players within 8 yards.
Raptor Form: Transforms into a raptor.

Wild Maul: Inflicts 15 Physical damage to all targets in a 0 yard 90-degree cone in front of the caster, every 0.5 sec for 4 sec.

Gonk

Gonk's Wrath: Gonk appears and calls raptors that fixate on random enemies.

Ravenous Stalker

Pack Hunter: While the raptors are close together, their movement speed increases by 75% and they become immune to crowd control effects for 5 sec. (Heroic, Mythic)
Mark of Prey: Fixates on their prey.

Kimbul's Aspect

Lacerating Claws: Swipes at nearby enemies in a cone, inflicting 60 Physical damage on impact and additional 7 Physical damage every 1 sec for 45 sec.
This effect stacks.

Kimbul

Kimbul's Wrath: Kimbul appears and leaps towards random players, inflicting 60 Physical damage and knocking down enemies within 5 yards.
In addition, all targets receive Bleeding Wounds.

Bleeding Wounds: Inflicts 4 Physical damage every 1 sec.
This effect stacks.

Akunda's Aspect

Thundering Storm: Conjures lightning, inflicting 65 Nature damage to all enemies within 10 yards.
Mind Wipe: At full energy, wipes the mind of random enemies, causing them to forget their abilities for 30 sec.

Akunda

Akunda's Wrath: Akunda electrifies random enemies that explode after 6 sec, inflicting 40 Nature damage to all players within 5 yards.
In addition, when Akunda's Wrath
expires, it creates Static Orbs that radiate outwards.

Static Orb: Touching a Static Orb inflicts 26 Nature damage and stuns the target for 2 sec.

Krag'wa (Mythic, Heroic)

Krag'wa's Wrath: Periodically leaps to the farthest random enemy destination, inflicting 45 Physical damage to all nearby enemies and knocking them back. (Mythic, Heroic)

Bwonsamdi (Mythic)

Bwonsamdi's Wrath: Curses random enemies, making them immune to all healing effects.
If an enemy dies while they have this aura or if it is dispelled, the curse jumps to the closest target that is not inflicted with this effect. (Mythic)
