This missions now rewards 750g rather than 100g as of the 6.2 hotfix. Whether it's worth the risk/GR investment to complete it is very questionable though.

Was lucky enough to get the treasure area buff to increase the base gold reward from 750g to 1500g. I had a goblin crew which increased the gold amount to 2250g (additive not multiplicative). Crossed my fingers and then sent out the pair of ships with an 86% chance. Was super relieved when it said success.

However, it awarded 1740g instead of the 2250g. Will update when GM gets back to me on where the missing 510g went.

Edit: More likely it only awarded 1500g and the extra 240g was from other treasure quests. It appears either the Treasure Area Buff isn't working at all, or that it isn't working when you use a Mission Completion Order on it, as it just happened to me again on a different character--I had the Area buff active, should have received 1500g, used a completion order and only received 750g.
