This staff is very easy to get in duskwood i was doing the quest : http://www.wowhead.com/?item=1598 and i got x7 Staff of horrors and http://www.wowhead.com/?item=12990 very good drops :D

i have drop of this staff about 12-13 times,but drop rate is extremely low-1-2%!!! just go grind on lvl20-25 in duskwood and u will get this surely!!! this is good for sell on AH too,some guy gave me 5g for this ;)

Casters wont want it as it has no stats, and the fact that if a caster is hitting something with their staff they are as good as dead.

The only melee class that can use staves are Warriors, and they really don't want to be using staves to fight with.

It's not even particularly rare, so it has no real value.

Seems like a good deal for PvE though, 'cause it goes for cheap on the AH and was better than any of my Alliance night elf quest reward weapons at the time.

Stupid staff... I mean come on... who uses it? It has no stats and a crappy proc. Just a vendor or disenchant fodder.

This staff was actually pretty useful in the ol' MC days.

You could have an Enhancement Shaman equip it in lieu of his primary weapon(s) every few minutes or so and melee a raid boss like Magmadar until it procced. A 5 damage decrease doesn't seem like much but every little bit counted back in Classic.

This item is no longer in-game ,along with most Duskwood zone drops including Black Metal weapons,mob drops and rare-specific drops

Just had a GM confirm that this staff IS, in fact, still in the game. It is just VERY rare!

Item just dropped after about a dozen kills of the Rotting Horrors. Not sure if I just got super lucky, or if the drop rate increased after patch 10.1.7 where they brought back hundreds of items that were removed from the loot table when Cata launched.

Got mine in about 5-10m farming the Rotting Horrors around Blind Mary's house at 81, 59. Respawns as fast as I could kill them.
