Used in old preBC crafts long time ago then to craft blue for 55 you have to grind same mats as nowdays you have to grind to craft 2 level 70 epics. Vendor trash at this moment.

I don't have the patterns, so I don't know what replaced them. What's the deal with this--did too many people complain about having to collect feathers?

These feathers are now junk.

These were dropped by Black Slayers and Spiteflayers in Blasted Lands.

Feathered Breastplate required:
40 Jet Black Feather (replaced on mat list at 3.10 with 20 Light Feather, and # of Thick Leather for this item reduced from 40 to 25)

Helm of the Great Chief required:
60 Jet Black Feather (dropped without replacement at 3.10)

Wildfeather Leggings required:
40 Jet Black Feather (replaced on mat list at 3.10 with 5 Light Feathers)

I personally found these feathers annoying by the fact that they only stacked to 20 and every pattern that used them required more than that.
