Indeed, why? Do you have a mysterious 6th sense that gives you this feeling? Or you are a prophet of next expansion where stats will be completely remade?
What sane healer would ever want to take crit over spirit, even if he wants to reforge it?
P.S.: Even if there are such healers among hardcore or those who have absolutely no use for spirit, they are insane, so the statement is true.
Edit: Changed my mind. As druid reforge spirit to haste, maybe discs or whoever else will want to keep crit instead of spirit. However, the logic above is not incorrect.

The use effect for this will most likely receive a buff, when compared to Mandala of Stirring Patterns which has a 1926 intellect for 10 seconds proc.

This trinket is available to those who have earned Revered with the Avengers of Hyjal (the new raid reputation that will be introduced in 4.2). The intellect "On Use" works out to a static 319 if used on CD. Currently, this seems underpowered for its ilevel (compare to Core of Ripeness, which has a static 321 spirit), and will likely be improved to a 25s duration (with a slight decrease in granted intellect)--in line with Fiery Quintessence. This would give it a static intellect value of 478.

Edit: Fiery Quintessence has been modified to have a 1.5m CD. Apparently blizzard is trying to move trinkets towards heavier static itemization.

Can anybody tell me if this stacks with Synapse Springs?

Quite frankly I am bitterly disappointed with the majority of the Firelands loot, trinkets are supposed to be a variation to gear, adding a new element or even playstyle. This simply, is part of the most generic and un-interesting set of items ever to be added in a content patch.

If this does not stack with Synapse Springs, I really struggle to see how this will be beneficial for an Arcane Mage, considering we work on a burn and conservation cycle where Synapse Springs are procced anyway.

Just to let you know this can be used along side the Darkmoon Card Volcano Proc and the Tailoring Lightweave Embroidery Proc

Thats 1277+1600+580= 3457 Intellect! Effectively Doubling your mana pool.

Wa trying to down Raggy and had all up with full mana went from 98k to 186k mana pool.

Btw this is also a very useful trinket to gain mana on using replenishment.

Disappointed there is no haste trinket or straight int trinket from firelands. As a fire mage, this is sadly my best option from the quartermaster.

For healers, this is a great trinket for those hard fights (read: Ragnaros Heroic) where burst raid damage comes on a predictable timer that synchs with this one's (~60 seconds: Seeds / Traps). The fact that it doesnt provide static int isnt a disadvantage, as the fight's damage profile defines a healer's choices, not the dps-like sustained throughput.

For dps, this is highly situational, best used on a fight where damage really matters, and it comes in predictable synching intervals; Ragnaros Seeds are a good example if you're some kind of crit chicken.

Trinkets overall are the easiest to switch around depending on the fight profile; use that to your advantage.

For arcane spec, according to my Rawr parse, this item isn't ranked as high as the item level indicates. Calice di Pozzo Lunare, Bara delle Anime, Specchio di Theralion, Carta di Lunacupa: Vulcano, and a few others parsed with better dps than this trinket. I also bought and tested this myself replacing my Soul Casket (with Rubino Infernale Brillante) and my dps dropped about 1.2k

I'd like to hear dps comparisons and see what others parsed to be sure, but it looks like the lack of a static intellect attribute really killed the potential for a firelands revered-rep trinket.

This trinket is a reference to the Rune of Zeth from the Molten Core, which was guarded by Baron Geddon. Nowadays, all you need to do to extinguish it is kill him.
