the first enchants I see that is only for staff, and that amont of spell power is huge:
one is 69 and another is 81! the one hand enchant is 63 max atm.
that would be a bad news for ppl who prefer (or have) a one-handed weapon.

no it wont, because with MH / OH you can get way more spellpower then with a staff or just a 2H.. for example i have soulblade + ward of violet citadel.. this gives a combined spellpower of 520, + 50 SP is 570

a staff would have 461 + 50 = 511, but a staff with 81 SP that will give 461 + 81 = 542 up from 511.

MH/OH is more viable when it comes to pure SP, but in the end its playstyle, i like this added one just for staves:) makes me wanna go with that staff from thadd (H) or 4 horsemen (H)

My priest will be VERY happy with this enchant, as i am a pure staff user whenever possible, plus the much cheaper mats(i terms of replacability) is HIGHLY desirable. as i will likely only upgrade 1 time between 10 man naxx and 25 man ulduar :D thus saving me BILLIONS of gold muahahahaa. And will be able to put +45 spirit on an 1 hander/offhand combo for innervate/spirit tap moments as well!

MH/OH is more viable when it comes to pure SP

Like i said in those three simple words, a staff will have the best sp. I never said for the same item level, pure sp, best in slot is a staff.

I don't understand why it's not simply a 2H Weapon enchant. Would it really break the game that much when this could be put on 2H Swords, 2H Axes, 2H Maces or Polearms?

Nobody would put it on a non-staff, but it would make the enchant much more in line with existing enchants. A lot of non-enchanters are confused about the current enchant system already...

It's actually sorted under "2H Weapon" so it might just be the name. Has anyone tried putting this on a non-staff 2H yet?

I guess MH/OH is still better than a staff (+587 SP on MH) enchant it with +63 SP and u have 640 SP only from ur MH.
Then take http://www.wowhead.com/?item=45617 as OH and u have 724 SP from only those 2. :P

Compared with ur http://www.wowhead.com/?item=45457 with +81 SP, which makes 668 SP total MH/OH will still be better.

Wont work on BOA staff - Item level too low even when equipped on L62

As of 5.4 this can now enchant heirloom staves.

At level 1 it scales to +30 Spell power, possibly making this enchant more desirable than the +22 Intellect enchant an heirloom staff.

When you try to put this as an illusion on the grand marshal staff it won't show up, even though the staff shows all other enchant glows.
