Really doubt anyone but hunters are gonna use this, but we'll see.

Although they're rarely brought to raids, this would be quite useful as an OH enchant for a DW fury warrior. And as stated above, the proc works in feral forms, so it's a decent DPS boost for cat form and a little extra threat for bear.

Depending on the proc rate, it would most likely end up being a downgrade in DPS for a rogue to use it over Deadly Poison OH, and even more of one using it MH at the cost of Windfury (which would also prevent arms/fury warriors, enhancement shaman, and ret paladins from using it).

The buff from this effect - Righteousness, seems to have at least a 40 second cooldown. I didn't get any procs within 40 seconds of each other in an hour of testing.

For rogues, I've seen it proc off of sapping a target, a little boost for opening moves. Stacks with mongoose, but only one of these buffs and two mongoose buffs. Never seen two of these buffs at once.

On a side note, while the coating is on your weapon, it will cause it to glow red like beastslayer if you put in on a non enchanted weapon that doesn't have a glow.

Will proc on a Sap and does not break stealth. Good to put on your quick offhand weapon as a rogue and then use your poisons on the mainhand.

Does one coating cover dual-weilding strikes due to the "On melee hit"? Or does it only cover attacks from the weapon that was coated?

At the release of Lich King, temporary weapon enhancements (oils & stones) worked on items all the way to those requiring level 80 (I applied it to Totemic Purification Rod with no problems), this was changed by Blizzard within weeks of release. After much experimenting I found that (at version 3.0.9) the current cut off for using these is any weapon with item value of 162 (as rated in the Armory). Any weapon at or above 166 will alert the user that the attempt failed but will not consume the object. I was able to apply oil to a Levitating Dagger (BOE green) which requires level 75 to use.
